Uhhhh why did they not march down State Street? Their kind want to see it permanently closed.
Anyone notice the age factor? They really are an older crowd and reminds one of the now irrelevant hippies of the 1960's. You know, tune in - turn on - drop out....
It was and is amazing to see their lack of objection to Sacramento one party rule that looks just like their propaganda objections. But then again what fun is it to object to a small time Lord when you can yell about a King.
Good points Lou.The loudest anti-authoritarians sure got comfortable with authority when it served their side. I found it very revealing when the 'No Kings' mob had no problem acting like kings when it came to restricting everyone else's freedoms.
Great observations, Lou. The blind hypocrisy of these people never ceases to amaze me. They never reflect on what it is that they are actually protesting. Still, the worst part is that the local and national media portray them as noble heroes or something. Never discussing or dissecting the issues so that it can be easily viewed by both sides with points being weighed against each other. Of course, this would lead people to make up their own minds about what’s really happening, and they can’t have that out in the open. Keeping them ignorant and angry is their methodology to achieve their desired ends.
Less than 1% of Indivisible comes from individual contributions. Check out where they get their funding. “Indivisible’s most prominent allies include the Democratic Socialists of America, American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), MoveOn.org, Planned Parenthood, the Working Families Party, and the Tides Foundation.”
America is currently under attack by Marxist revolutionaries. The No Kings crowd are ignorant and dangerous.
Astute observations, Mr. Segal. I have often wondered what sources fund “ No Kings” and similar groups with socialist ideology. George Soros and son can’t be the only disruptors with money funding these demonstrations though they are most often credited. Our government at every level slowly eroded our freedoms and destroyed the American dream of owning a home and economic security for the vast majority. I suspect very few of these demonstrators own homes or can ever hope to and their sense of frustration is understandable. The problem is the left wing media and politicians have effectively hid the major cause of our “affordability” crisis by blaming Trump, “rich” people who own stocks and bonds, jobs creating businesses, “greedy” landlords, climate change, racism, etc., and these demonstrators have bought the story, hook, line and sinker. The major cause of these demonstrators’ economic frustration is our wasteful, bloated, overstaffed, over paid, over-regulating, corrupt government at every level. The politicians are led around by their noses by unelected “expert” government managers and their staffs who’ve never done anything for profit. The government is expert at nothing other than growing by hiring people to fill jobs that have no economic reason to exist. Because the government knows nothing, they hire consultants to perform studies and analysis but in reality, park the bus in soft sand and press the accelerator down and spin wheels until the gas tank runs dry. I do believe we have a civil war coming.
Liberal ideology seems to be perpetually trapped in a quasi “Erogenous Zone,” to use the Freudian mantra. This, while Conservatives continue to be forced into being the only adults in the room, babysitting the left.
Sure, simply look at what they (Democrats) would turn our country into if election predictions are accurate. Free healthcare, housing, guaranteed minimum income, unlimited immigration, impeachments, abolish ICE, the Senate, SCOTUS, even POTUS. Statehood for PR, DC, guaranteeing permanent political dominance.
Multiple gender affirmation with full state acknowledgment, subsidized transitioning with full DEI representation in all forms of government entities.
Acceptance of a Red/Green indoctrination, whereas the state codifies Islamo/Socialist/Green/LGBTQ orthodoxy.
Western, White Judeo- Christian philosophy will be shamed, assaulted, burned and discarded onto the garage heaps of history. It will make Mao Zedong’s “Cultural Revolution” look like a minor societal misunderstanding.
At some point during this twisted nightmare, there will be an awakening and a sense of “Integrity vs. Despair” to use the Erickson model for late adulthood, in which Socialism has overtaken the greatest form of government known to man.
I pray I am wrong, but if not, I am seriously considering pulling my investments, packing up, and heading for Asia.
Yes, I think Stalin called them "Useful Idiots" when establishing "Communism" in Russia. But, nevertheless, they are very dangerous in their numbers protesting in our streets. Were they not among the first to go into the Gulags when they realized that they had been fooled?
Problem is, both parties are dominated by people who have contempt for regular Americans and have no respect for the constitution. Did Trump stop the lockdowns? Did he protect the 1st amendment on the health issue? Trump is making tourist visas contingent on political opinions and threatening universities to lose funds if they don't suppress pro-Palestine activism. Ralph Nader ran in 2000 to challenge the uniparty run by oligarchs. Trump was given an unprecedented level of support for promising to end the wars that are financially enslaving us. He shamelessly did the opposite without even attempting to justify his 180. Is that reasonable in a representative democratic system of government? Or is it a hint King-like. As long as the political solution is always just blame the other party despite working for the exact same interests, the debt owed by future Americans will continue to get more unsustainable and weaponized mass immigration and moral decline will continue. Ready to look honestly and objectively at the whole political landscape?
As a long time critic of US foreign wars, I actually did attend one of these "No Kings" protests to be a voice against war. My sign said "No more wars for Israel." No one liked my sign. I was reluctantly tolerated. Maybe we could make a better protest. Would you attend a "No More Wars For Israel" protest? "No more violations of the first amendment for Israel" protest? "No more money for Israel until they sign an extradition treaty with the US government" protest? They protect credibly suspected pedophiles, you know. "AIPAC and the ADL need to register as foreign lobby groups" protest? What do you say?
Yes, the ignorance amongst them is staggering and dangerous.
The mental illness, …I blame the tattoo ink. It has got to be the ink……

You hit the No Kings dems right on the head. Too bad they are unable or unwilling to look in their own mirror .
