The height of insanity. Let’s see, California society is imploding; Palisades inferno, crushing debt threatening our credit and bond ratings, out of control regulations, homelessness, millions of illegal migrants and home ownership out of reach for the vast majority. And yet, Newsom uses our tax dollars to go after the Trump administration for frivolous lawsuits. Along with his organ grinder monkey and AG, Bonta has made life in the Golden State unlivable.

Will this ever change or do people need to continue to flee from this insane asylum?

Tuesday night's circus is part and parcel with the partisan lawsuits outlined in Brent's intriquing analysis. Instead of licking their wounds post- Election 2024, the Democrat Party has further entrenched themselves in opposition politics to the extreme. RESIST. They do not serve their position well. Most troubling, the DNC is doing great harm to constituents and country. Case in point: When the gals in pink could not stand up for a black child who survived brain cancer, an incoming West Point cadet; the widow of a NYC police officer; a high school athlete permanently disabled by a bio male; and the 94 year old mother whose son was negotiated out of a Russian prison. Even the CNN pundits were appalled. Our task? For the GOP and Indys to get behind strong candidates who can run the cultists out of the halls of governance. NOW.

There was a time when both judges and officers of the court were ethically bound to never make knowing false statements and intentionally mislead the bench. Yet we now pay our politically ambitious state Attorney General Bonta to lie to the court in our name, all for partisan political theater.

The real message Bonta sends DOGE in fact is unraveling a long history of government malfeasance at every level, uncovering waste, fraud and abuse now foisted on taxpayers to continue funding without recourse. Why would he sue, in our names, for this malfeasance to continue?

AG Bonta's shocking legal premises - per your excellent article, thank you Mr Zeptke:

1. FALSE: “Mr. Musk occupies a position the President made up."

2. FALSE: "This is a clear and dangerous effort to bypass the nomination and confirmation process required under the U.S. Constitution. "

3. FALSE: " He has unraveled federal agencies, accessed sensitive data, and caused widespread disruption for state and local governments, as well as critical systems that the American people rely on daily.”

You refer to Musk's activity as an "audit". That is far from the truth. An audit requires trained accountants to do a thorough examination of an agency's records (which occurs annually ). Musk's crew are nothing more than hackers randomly downloading files without any knowledge of what they are looking at.

Expand full comment
J. Livingston's avatar

DC: Takes an investigation first to determine what needs a fuller "audit™". Plus, this is the also the job of OMB, except they are presently overwhelmed after the past four years of total absence of administrative oversight.

Bringing in back-up troops is an obvious necessity. Why would anyone be against this? Hit the pause button first, then drill down to the most egregious areas of abuse.

Agree, except Musk's merry men are hardly competent to carry out an investigation.

Expand full comment
J. Livingston's avatar

Actually they are quite capable since the proof of what they are uncovering is already in the pudding. Perhaps we quibble about exact term - audit, investigation, oversights, explorations. They are running data checks on what is already available and looking for out of synch patterns, using AI.

Have to start somewhere. Thank goodness they have started. The past four years were on auto-pilot only, and that is darn scary. Lower taxes after uncovering inaccuracies and inefficiencies should be everyone's goal. I think this is called common sense.

Expand full comment
David Carlberg's avatar

Again, I generally agree. My point is the competency of Musk and his crew. What credentials do they have to judge the worthiness of projects by agencies as complex as the US federal government. Whose AI algorithms are they using? Would you have your auto mechanic evaluate the results of your latest physical exam?

Expand full comment
J. Livingston's avatar

DC: The President as our elected representative judges the "worthiness" of the project and any actions to be taken. Musk and his team only point out issues they uncover. I believe the President just today had a press conference about the Musk teams role in this process. Tuning out the partisan hysteria might be good advice right now. Unless you have another agenda.

A good exercise is to search <Trump DOGE Cabinet Secretaries> on your favorite search engine and witness the huge variety of takes about today's cabinet meeting from various ranges of media resources and bias.

Proves yet again, no one should be wedded to any one media reporting about Trump or his administration. The real laugh came from the "experts" at the Kennedy School of Public Policy. The joke titles wrote themselves. Then I guess you can transit over to the other end of the spectrum at "Fox News" - the left's favorite bugaboo which I personal have no use for.

For a base line teaser, try this opinion piece from Red State: https://redstate.com/wardclark/2025/03/06/trump-tells-cabinet-they-not-elon-musk-have-hiringfiring-authority-n2186360

Until all government employee unions are banned in this state, we will be getting more of the same. They remain the granular ground troops, that still carry extraordinary weight with voters.

Which is odd, because they also take up most of our tax dollars and remain unaccountable for their work products .Until that imbalance "unravels" it will be just more of the same. This is brilliantly stated. We need an Elon Doge team in every state capital, particularly Sacramento and other deep blue states. Finding BS is not that difficult in a pasture full of bovines. Locally, the obvious places to check are school board meetings, County Board of Director meetings, City Council meetings, to name a few. Don’t count on a courageous local fourth estate to shine light on this, with a few exceptions, like the SB Current. Policies against the benefit of the citizens are best enacted behind closed doors and couched in long pages of obfuscation. Darkness hates the light. Dems fear DOGE.

Lawfare worked so well for Democrats in the recent past, I can see why they want to double down on this proven exercise in futility. It is not their money after all, and delay and obstruction are the only cards they have left on the table.

Upside it is money well spent teaching civics to the wider populations that they abysmally ignored in their party driven, mega-billion dollar farce they call government schools.

I read this in-light-ing article Titled "Are Californians Suing Themselves?

by Brent E. Zepke, Esq." and I quote from same below

"Can this be true for the question "Are Californians Suing Themselves?"

AND "When a state sues, its citizens are considered the plaintiffs."

"The 60-page Complaint in the lawsuit California Attorney General filed on “our” behalf, begins: “There is not a greater threat to democracy than the accumulation of state power in the hands of a single, unelected individual."

I provide a new title "California Predator Attorneys Destroy US Citizens Thru Illegal Lawfare"

1. CALI is controlled by many Predator Attorneys

2. The CALI Legal System has Serious Problems by facilitating This Predation

3. CALI has Highly Classified Defense Contractors and Military Bases Operating therein

4. The National Security of the United States has been Badly Comprised by CALI Leaders,

The CALI Legal System and their Predator Attorneys. THINK SANTA BARBARA

California Families, their Children and even their Grandparents have been badly

hurt and sometimes utterly Destroyed by these Predators.

ESPECIALLY MILITARY FAMILIES.

Jeremiah 16:16 "But for now I will send for many fishermen, declares the LORD, and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill, even from the clefts of the rocks." GOD HAS NO MERCY FOR EVIL.

Last year Michael Bloomberg: Donated $43 million to Democratic causes and was the largest individual donor. There were many more.

Meanwhile, Timothy Mellon donated over $125 million to Trump’s PAC last year.

Elon Musk contributed over $100 million, and Ken Griffin donated more than $75 million to support Republican candidates.

I guess they were all buying elections and influencing elected officials.
