The height of insanity. Let’s see, California society is imploding; Palisades inferno, crushing debt threatening our credit and bond ratings, out of control regulations, homelessness, millions of illegal migrants and home ownership out of reach for the vast majority. And yet, Newsom uses our tax dollars to go after the Trump administration for frivolous lawsuits. Along with his organ grinder monkey and AG, Bonta has made life in the Golden State unlivable.

Will this ever change or do people need to continue to flee from this insane asylum?

Tuesday night's circus is part and parcel with the partisan lawsuits outlined in Brent's intriquing analysis. Instead of licking their wounds post- Election 2024, the Democrat Party has further entrenched themselves in opposition politics to the extreme. RESIST. They do not serve their position well. Most troubling, the DNC is doing great harm to constituents and country. Case in point: When the gals in pink could not stand up for a black child who survived brain cancer, an incoming West Point cadet; the widow of a NYC police officer; a high school athlete permanently disabled by a bio male; and the 94 year old mother whose son was negotiated out of a Russian prison. Even the CNN pundits were appalled. Our task? For the GOP and Indys to get behind strong candidates who can run the cultists out of the halls of governance. NOW.

Equally disgusting was the Congressional Censorship of Green in the well of Congress this morning. Yes, the standard parade of fools and the Congressional Black Caucus…what an embarrassment to our country!

Celeste - excellent, thoughtful analysis.

Who is this masked man "Esq."???

Cue the William Tell overture!!! For anyone raised on 1950's black and white TV better known as:

THE LONE RANGER AND TANTO!!!

Just out of curiosity, since when is the Chief ELECTED officer of the nation not allowed to look at the books and ask questions?

"""The complaint requests that a court block the efforts of President Trump, Elon Musk and DOGE from auditing and taking the actions to make the Federal Government less costly """

With that same curiosity what gives the "B" man the moral right to do this when he will not clean the voting rolls of the State of Calif?

Who is 'Tanto' - Tonto? :)

Update us on your research George. Question is who will buy our property, unless desperate for good weather — whic is why I’m here.

George if you want some great places give me a jangle.

You refer to Musk's activity as an "audit". That is far from the truth. An audit requires trained accountants to do a thorough examination of an agency's records (which occurs annually ). Musk's crew are nothing more than hackers randomly downloading files without any knowledge of what they are looking at.

Howard Walther's avatar

UUUUUmmmmmm David Carlberg some interesting FOLKS have forensically audited

many of the Santa Barbara Agency Records. There is a HUGE PROBLEM

Yep, that’s what cockroaches do when you turn on the lights…scatter and take cover!

David Carlberg's avatar

Agree, except Musk's merry men are hardly competent to carry out an investigation.

Earl Brown's avatar

JL didn't say Musk was conducting 'investgations' - she said he's determining where the fire is, then calling in the fire department.

Yes JL, investigate them all. Let’s also look into Stacey Abrams on how she took an environmental NGO with merely a couple hundred bucks in the bank for 23’ to more than $2 billion in 24’. Need forensic accountants ASAP!

DC. What are you actually afraid of? It is very probable the administrative state members (referred to as 'those bureaucrats') have been systematically looting the USA tax base for generations directly and indirectly benefiting their friends and associates. If nothing is wrong, why are the bureaucrats guarding doorways?

Again, I generally agree. My point is the competency of Musk and his crew. What credentials do they have to judge the worthiness of projects by agencies as complex as the US federal government. Whose AI algorithms are they using? Would you have your auto mechanic evaluate the results of your latest physical exam?

My point exactly. "The President as our elected representative judges the "worthiness" of the project and any actions to be taken." And what are his credentials to judge the worthiness of a project searching for a cure for cancer, or the design of a bridge, or a breakthrough AI algorithm?

California desperately needs a new governor!

I hope the impeachment is going well !

Paul Aijian MD's avatar

This is brilliantly stated. We need an Elon Doge team in every state capital, particularly Sacramento and other deep blue states. Finding BS is not that difficult in a pasture full of bovines. Locally, the obvious places to check are school board meetings, County Board of Director meetings, City Council meetings, to name a few. Don’t count on a courageous local fourth estate to shine light on this, with a few exceptions, like the SB Current. Policies against the benefit of the citizens are best enacted behind closed doors and couched in long pages of obfuscation. Darkness hates the light. Dems fear DOGE.

Howard Walther's avatar

I read this in-light-ing article Titled "Are Californians Suing Themselves?

by Brent E. Zepke, Esq." and I quote from same below

"Can this be true for the question "Are Californians Suing Themselves?"

AND "When a state sues, its citizens are considered the plaintiffs."

"The 60-page Complaint in the lawsuit California Attorney General filed on “our” behalf, begins: “There is not a greater threat to democracy than the accumulation of state power in the hands of a single, unelected individual."

I provide a new title "California Predator Attorneys Destroy US Citizens Thru Illegal Lawfare"

1. CALI is controlled by many Predator Attorneys

2. The CALI Legal System has Serious Problems by facilitating This Predation

3. CALI has Highly Classified Defense Contractors and Military Bases Operating therein

4. The National Security of the United States has been Badly Comprised by CALI Leaders,

The CALI Legal System and their Predator Attorneys. THINK SANTA BARBARA

California Families, their Children and even their Grandparents have been badly

hurt and sometimes utterly Destroyed by these Predators.

ESPECIALLY MILITARY FAMILIES.

I PROVIDE A WARNING TO THOSE PREDATORS FROM AN ANCIENT BOOK YOU ALL MAY KNOW>

Jeremiah 16:16 "But for now I will send for many fishermen, declares the LORD, and they will catch them. After that I will send for many hunters, and they will hunt them down on every mountain and hill, even from the clefts of the rocks." GOD HAS NO MERCY FOR EVIL.

Howard Walther, Member of a Military Family

PS1 - BANG > "Have federal agents served warrants at California’s Capitol? The Legislature doesn’t want you to know" YES YES AND YES Three YESes AND YOU ARE OUT CALI ! ! !

https://calmatters.org/politics/2025/03/california-legislative-transparency-public-corruption/

PS 2 - Has Newson been subpoenaed to a Secret Grand Jury?

Quote from above weblink > "“The public absolutely has a right to know whether … one of their representatives or public officials is under criminal investigation,” said Sean McMorris of California Common Cause, a non-profit, non-partisan organization that advocates for government transparency and accountability."

George Soros has infiltrated state AGs with his money to buy elections. He's here in SB county influencing elections and "elected officials".

Camel Toe Harris is a perfect example.

Thomas John's avatar

Ranger, I totally agree. Let's get money out of politics!

Last year Michael Bloomberg: Donated $43 million to Democratic causes and was the largest individual donor. There were many more.

Meanwhile, Timothy Mellon donated over $125 million to Trump’s PAC last year.

Elon Musk contributed over $100 million, and Ken Griffin donated more than $75 million to support Republican candidates.

I guess they were all buying elections and influencing elected officials.

Howard Walther's avatar

Hello THOMAS JOHN, as they say FOLLOW THE MONEY

and that leads to many places including our Lil Ole Beach Town

of Santa Barbara.

Thomas John's avatar

Greetings, Howard Walther - I fully agree with you. I'm just pointing out to Ranger and others that it is not a one-party problem.

Jeff barton's avatar

Forces for good and for evil may use similar weapons.

Thomas John's avatar

Jeff - this helps me understand your views. We see things differently. I don't see it as good vs. evil but more of two different approaches to managing the country. I see what I like and don't like on both sides. I'm 100% sure I'm more 'liberal' than you but I'm in no way a fan boy of CA's governor or SB's democratic supermajority.

That said it's more understandable to me if some think of it as good vs. evil now.

Howard Walther's avatar

Thomas John yes I got that "Follow The Money" equally applies

to Republicans. I really want to know where the $350 Billion

to allegedly Ukraine really ended up, about 10% for a VERY NICE

KICK BACK of $35 Billion into SOMEBODY'S POCKET (S) PLURAL!

We both agree that a supermajority is not healthy. But I feel this way in both Red and Blue states, but I'm not sure you do likewise.

Earl Brown's avatar

"plenipotentiary" - where the heck did you come up with that 25¢ word? I had to look it up! But it's a good one - "a person, who has full power to act on behalf of their government." !

Julia Gonzales's avatar

Mr. Zepke, I don’t know who’s suing who, but were you aware that trump has lifted some of the sanctions we had placed against Russia. 60 Minutes reported about the sanctions last year, they even showed one of the items ceased which was a $90 million yacht owned by an oligarch by the name of Victor something, who had it docked on some luxury island? Well, was I surprised, maybe not, when I saw it had been returned to this oligarch. I wonder what favor they carried out for trump?

Bill Clausen's avatar

If a bi-racial person has a low opinion of themselves, can they be charged with a hate crime?

Sherry Foster's avatar

They have all become committed Treason a usurped our state judical sustem no longer a republic. They have all signed on to Cal-Exit.org to secede from the Union of states which is Unconstitional. California Legislative analysist Office aka LAO only recognizes the California Constitution of 1849 that was compact with God our creator and passed by Congress. What does compact mean? It means Congress passed our constitution which included a convenant with oir creator. This is permanent, cant be changed, it has accepted the US Constitution as the Supreme Law of the Land as stated so eloquently in article 6. 🇺🇲🇺🇲🕊🕊✨️✨️❤️❤️❤️✨️❤️

Lou Segal's avatar

Nothing is more symbolic of a legal system run by greedy lawyers and ambulance-chasing law firms than having their clients suing themselves. I am suing myself for physical, emotional and economic damages for the harm that Trump has inflicted on me. I demand punitive and compensatory damages to be paid to me from me.

Thomas John's avatar

Lawyers are the bane of our system. Probably Zepke included. He seems like an old school conservative southern/East coast lawyer who moved to Santa Barbara and hates the politics. Like moving to Jackson Hole and hating the cold.

Lou Segal's avatar

I would agree with you but I have lawyers in my family, so I have to be somewhat careful as to what I can say about the profession. :)
