I would hope that all fire departments have a protocol when they “put out” a fire in the woods, mountains, and rural terrain that the location be carefully monitored until it can be confirmed that the fire has been extinguished. The LAFD has technology to monitor such locations . Why could they not have put a camera to watch the spot, have a drone watch, or visit the spot especially when high winds are forecast. Many of those funds didn't perform very well when they started, but since 2015 or so "green private equity funds" have been doing pretty well.
