I wrote in generalities in my last column addressing the wannabe president, Gavin Newsom. I’d like to add some reminders of how bad this empty suit would be for the country should he get that far.
It wasn’t that long ago, weeks, when Newsom on his podcast made a right turn and started leaning toward the middle. He even had, God forbid, a Republican on his show. Something his friends can’t deal with. For a while it looked like Newsom was achieving a little sanity and recognizing the Left’s policies have failed.
He couldn’t keep the bile down for long.
Glimmers of hope began to enlighten him that maybe he did have a chance at this president gig. So, he paid some folks and turned up the volume even higher against one of the most accomplished presidents this country has ever had.
Forget about the homeless, the fire victims not able to rebuild, illegal killers running amok. Get Trump. Dig in. Do a little swagger, feign a duck left, then right, all the while making sure the hair stays put. Fight back like a twelve-year-old mimicking the capital letters. I know you are but what am I? Newsom said, “fight fire, with fire.” Sure, why not, he’s good at watching things burn. Though I don’t think he knows how to play a fiddle.
Why not establish policies instead of attacking someone he’s not even going to run against? Another indication of his inadequacies.
Newsom has never run a business and perhaps one of the best businessmen is running the White House. Newsom wrongly assumes he’s capable of tackling the largest corporate enterprise in the world when he can’t stop his state from bleeding businesses.
Escape From California
Since 2020, 196 companies have left California, likely more now. Most notable, Playboy, John Paul Mitchell, Realter.com, X, Chevron, Neutrogena, Tesla, Charles Schwab, Oracle, Hewlett Packard and on and on. Just in the past few weeks five factories announced closure plans, Spreckels sugar, Blue Diamond Growers, Foster Farms turkey processing plant and Hearthside Food Solutions (cookies). Is this the kind of leadership that could foster more growth across the country? Trump is bringing companies back to the U.S. and creating thousands of jobs. None of those companies look to California as the land of opportunity, a place to set up camp. Does Newsom think bringing his California business model to Washington will be his key to success?
Lest we also forget the Newsom Covid Color system debacle. Like Newsom’s redistricting plan for Dems to take over the entire state, maybe he should reinstitute the color system again. Purple signifying widespread liberal Democrat strongholds. Red for Republican holdouts that need to be tamped down. Orange for conservative districts with a less than 10 percent liberal ideology and Yellow, counties that still require a bit of attention; some extra indoctrination vaccination to corral them into the new socialist empire.
Don’t ever forget what that inept man did to Californians while he enjoyed the Life of Riley. As most children in California schools faced monumental educational setbacks, his did not. They were in private school and never stopped attending. Do not forget and be lulled into believing the markings on this hyena will change.
Giving Them Sanctuary
Newsom also led the way jeopardizing all California residents that Cali would proudly harbor criminals from around the world because the libs felt sorry for them. To show the rest of the country that lefties have a heart. Not common-sense. That flew the coup years ago. The sanctuary state policy opened the door for tens of thousands of illegals and criminals to flood the state knowing they’d be coddled. The bad guys knew they could do as they please because no one would prosecute them. In the front door and out the back. Drive drunk, no problem. Kill and/or rape girls, we won’t call ICE. ICE bad, criminals good. Suddenly, after some eight years, following Trump’s lead, Gavin is making a show of getting tough on crime.
What happened to selling nothing but electric cars within five years from now? Newsom can dodge that one because he won’t be around and the Left hates Musk so bad now, they likely won’t even push that idea anymore. Plus, we don’t have the electricity to charge the things. It did look like Newsom had a come-to-Jesus moment and realized he needed to reconsider developing our own oil again. Though I’m guessing the hippy crowd will get to him and beat him down.
This is the Guy You Would Want to Run the U.S.?
How does California keep our gas tanks full and the lights on? In the interest of staying green, California is all for polluting other countries by importing nearly a quarter of its oil from Iraq. Yes, Iraq. Ecuador 17%. Saudi Arabia over 16% and even another 7% from Columbia. Newsom’s sham save-the-environment stance has placed his state in a position of vulnerability by depending on countries with extreme weaknesses, volatile prices, and risking what’s involved transporting the crude here. California could be entirely self-dependent, but no, let’s buy it from third-world countries so we look good.
Gas prices in California are already insanely high and have never really dropped. Word on the street is by 2026, with the additional refinery closures of Phillips 66 and Valero, there could be a 75% rise in price exceeding $8 per gallon. https://lodi411.com/lodi-eye/california-refineries-imported-oil-and-fuel.
I’ve only touched the surface. There is so much, much more. Harris was scary and we dodged a grenade on that one. On the other hand, Newsom loves to canoodle people who easily forget how bad he is. Like the woman who knows her man is a no-good cheater and a louse but thinks over time she can change him.
Not going to happen.
Newsom and others in his world won’t change. Common sense makes no sense to them. He’s not looking at making America first. His goal would be to make Democrats first. To win, no matter how much lying and cheating it takes. That’s about the only thing they’re really good at.
