Big Government Shut! Seattle Mayor a Wing Nut! Wikipedia, Paste & Cut! Putin, the World’s Biggest Butt!
By Robert Eringer
“Government shutdown continues as White House weighs “thousands” of layoffs” (CBS News)
Frankly, we’re better off without much of it.
We’ve seen this play out before: When government realizes the public barely notices they’re gone, panic sets in. They scramble to pressure lawmakers into restoring funding—not for you, but for their jobs, their agencies, and their bloated budgets.
Naturally, Democrats have the most to lose. They’re the party of Big Government—and yet they’ve (thankfully) handed Trump the very axe he needs to start chopping.
Well played, Chuck E. Cheese and Herky-jerky Jeffries!
Or, as the New York Post so perfectly put it…
“Dems shut down the government because they think it’s not going bankrupt fast enough” (NY Post)
Let’s not forget: Big Government means the reckless spending your money—cash the U.S. government no longer actually has. They’ve already spent it, gone $38.3 trillion into debt, and now using your money to pay interest on pork—and you’re the one getting porked.
“US boat strike kills 4 ‘narco-terrorists’ off Venezuela” (NY Post)
Four down, many more to go. (Money, in this instance, well spent.)
“Arrest of conservative influencer Nick Sortor outside Portland ICE building now under federal investigation” (NY Post)
For years, black-clad masked demonstrators in Portland have smashed windows, firebombed courthouses, and lit up downtown—often with zero prosecutions.
But a journalist with a GoPro? That’s too much to handle. Arrest the messenger!
Portland police are little else than performance art in riot gear.
The solution: Ask city cops to seek employment elsewhere—like in the hospitality industry, where they belong. Then deploy troops to do the job they won’t.
“Seattle Mayor Says Better to Hear 8-Time Offender’s Story Than Jail Them” (Newsweek)
Oregon is Woketopia—the land of decriminalized everything, infinite pronouns, and daily identity affirmations.
Washington is Whackistan—where no law goes unignored, no riot goes unrewarded, and every sidewalk is sacred space for defecation and narcotics consumption.
Together, they form the Bipartisan Federation of Dysfunction, governed by feelings, financed by fentanyl, defended by interpretive dance.
“DHS releases list of charges, convictions for ex-Des Moines Superintendent Ian Roberts” (Des Moines Register)
Des Moines’ school superintendent had a lengthy record of criminal charges and convictions in multiple states.
1996 charges in New York of forgery and drug possession with intent to deliver.
A 1998 charge of unauthorized use of a vehicle in New York City.
A 2012 conviction for reckless driving, unsafe operation and speeding in Maryland.
2020 charges in New York of criminal possession of a loaded weapon outside a home or business. The list notes one of those charges, for second-degree criminal possession, was “inchoate,” a legal term meaning the crime has been committed when the individual takes a “substantial step” even if the person ultimately fails to complete the crime.
A previously reported 2022 Pennsylvania conviction for unlawful possession of a loaded firearm.
After fleeing from ICE officers, this illegal alien was captured and found to be in possession of a loaded handgun, a hunting knife and $3000 in cash.
“TSA abuse of no-fly lists was more Biden-era ‘quiet tyranny’” (NY Post)
Resisting a mask mandate was enough to get you grounded—literally.
Biden’s TSA chief, David Pekoske, launched “Operation Freedom to Breathe” in September 2021… long after the worst of the pandemic, nearly six months after the CDC relaxed indoor masking guidance, and lightyears past the point of scientific credibility.
Targeting citizens over mask resistance wasn’t a public health issue—it was petty authoritarianism.
The only thing more deranged than that operation’s Orwellian title was its actual goal: punish the most rational people in the room.
If you’re stupid enough to still mask your face, chances are it’s not about protection but out of (well deserved) embarrassment.
Typical SB ageing hippie/Kameleon supporter, probably reading the Kamel’s asinine memoir at this moment
“Harry suggests people trying to sabotage reconciliation with King” (BBC)
“King Charles is ‘perplexed’ by Prince Harry’s claims ‘men in grey suits’ are sabotaging his reconciliation with his father” (Daily Mail)
There is nothing on this planet more cutthroat than a royal court.
Trust me—I worked in one, at a very high level, for five years.
It’s not tea and tiaras. It’s whispers and knives.
“Wikipedia co-creator Larry Sanger reveals how the CIA secretly hijacked entries to re-write history” (Daily Mail)
The so-called “free encyclopedia”—a.k.a. Wokepedia—is the World Wide Web’s biggest farce.
But don’t believe me, let’s consult ChapGPT:
Anyone (in many cases, anonymously) can edit most pages; misinformation, hoaxes, or slanted content can slip through.
Entities (governments, corporations, PR firms) have incentives to sanitize or spin their entries.
Wikipedia’s policy discourages editors from pushing selfinterest, but enforcement is spotty.
There are documented cases where political operatives or public institutions tried to manipulate public records or biographies.
Dominant contributors and editors skew ideologically, geographically, and culturally.
In contentious topics (politics, social issues, cultural debates), bias is more likely.
Sanger and others argue that the project has evolved into “establishment consensus” rather than true neutrality. Because Wikipedia values verifiability via reliable sources, it often privileges mainstream media or statusquo positions.
Editing “power users,” administrators, and longtenured editors often hold informal control over content disputes—newer voices or contrarian views get overridden or suppressed.
“The wealth of the top 1% reaches a record $52 trillion” (CNBC)
The new lords are already among us, buying up family homes for perpetual rental.
Get ready, new serfs.
Because, given current trajectories (says ChatGPT):
The accumulation of wealth at the top is accelerating. The mechanisms are built-in: capital gains, leverage, tax advantages.
The rest of the population must increasingly rely on selling labor, renting housing, borrowing credit — all in a system where capital income dominates.
The result is an oligarchic system: property owning elite, rent/tax extracting models, and a dependent labor/housing class.
“Putin Orders Highest Fall Conscription Target in 9 Years” (The Moscow Times)
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Mad Vlad doesn’t give a damn about how many Russians die in his imperial misadventure.
So much death and misery, all to gain a few acres of someone else’s sovereign soil.
Mad Vlad isn’t fighting a war—he’s grinding a generation through the gears of his own ego.
“Russian drone attack kills 13,000 pigs in Ukraine, officials say” (CBS News)
A more apt headline: “Swine Kills Pigs.”
And finally, Deep Tonsils on why…
“Former Syrian president Bashar Assad ‘is hospitalized by poisoning assassination attempt’” (Daily Mail)
What a week—whew!
And so should you.
