California, the New Epstein Island?

Katy Grimes of the California Globe is a phenomenal reporter covering our state.  She recently revealed that California Senate Democrats rejected a bill to make purchasing a child for sex a felony.

You read that right.

After all the talk about the “Me Too” movement and the various campaigns to “save the children,” the California state senate just threw our children to the wolf pack of human traffickers, child molesters, statutory rapists, and the multi-billion-dollar porn industry, all of which were aptly depicted in the movie “Sound of Freedom,” which was based on a true story.

Senator Shannon Grove introduced SB 1414 to make the act of soliciting, agreeing to engage in, or engaging in any form of commercial sex with a child, a felony offense, thereby triggering sex offender registry for the perpetrator. Instead of voting in favor of her bill, most, but not all, of the senate Democrats, highjacked the bill and watered it down severely. As Katy Grimes reports, the new version of the bill would create enough gray areas in the law that somebody convicted of purchasing sex with a child could serve as little as two days in jail for a misdemeanor crime.

This bill, along with several others, is a trafficker’s dream come true.  That is, unlike selling drugs, which are gone once they are consumed, traffickers can sell a child for sex repeatedly. With respect to the dangers of teenage girls getting pregnant in the course of “business,” California is now the top destination for under-aged trafficked pregnant girls to get an abortion, along with travel expenses, no questions asked.

California has become the new Epstein Island.

Speaking of Epstein Island, the primary attraction of which were teenaged girls lured there to have sex with the rich and famous, how is it that nobody has bothered to track down the pervs who were frequent flyers to the island?  The federal government is still doing everything within its power to track down anybody and everybody that was on capitol grounds in DC on Jan 6, but somehow not a single person has been arrested, convicted, or sentenced for routinely flying to this island to commit statutory rape.

Bringing Down the Age of Consent

Wasn’t the “Me Too” movement all about protecting vulnerable women from powerful men who used and abused their wealth and power to force themselves upon their prey? Even though most of the women who were featured in the movement’s promotional material were full-fledged adults when they were coerced and violated, we still considered them victims. How much more of a victim would a child under the legal age of consent (thereby rendering them unable to give informed consent), be if/when trafficked and raped?

Amazingly, as reported by Grimes, San Fran State Senator Nancy Skinner had this to say in defense of the senate, “Selling sex has been within human cultures for millennia. It is a very difficult area of the law to get into.”

What we have feared for years is coming to pass as predicted: the elimination of the prohibition of sex between adults and minors. We used to call these practitioners child molesters, now they are “minor-attracted persons.” What Senator Skinner is proposing to do now, about normalizing “consensual” heterosexual sex between an adult and a child, is following the lead of the other San Fran Senator, Scott Wiener. A previous bill by Wiener concerning homosexual sexual relations established that if the age difference between the adult and the child is less than 10 years, there is no automatic penalty for having sex with a minor. Skinner is now following suit for heterosexual relationships between adults and minors.  

What’s not to love?

Or should I say who can’t you “love,” regardless of age?
