The Jussie Smollett Model: Jussie faked one hate crime — California has built an entire education system on it.
When Mr. Smollett staged a hate crime, the world saw a cautionary tale about fake victimhood. But in California, that same model has been industrialized — not by an actor, but by the state. Here, the lie is not just believed — it’s taught in schools, rewarded with tax dollars, and protected by law.
A Convenient Myth for Inconvenient Power
In California — and especially in places like Santa Barbara — the ruling class has mastered the art of rewriting history.
You’ve heard the chant: “This land was stolen.”
It’s taught in classrooms, repeated by politicians, and baked into ethnic studies curriculum.
But here’s the truth:
That’s not education. That’s indoctrination — funded by your tax dollars, designed to divide, and built to deceive.
California: Fifth-Largest Economy, Bottom-Ranked Education
Despite spending more per student than most states, California consistently ranks in the bottom five for math and reading proficiency among K–12 students (usnews.com). So, ask yourself: What exactly is California preparing its students for?
A future as CEOs — or gardeners?
Because if this is a merit-based pipeline to success, it’s going in the wrong direction. The only thing being cultivated is dependence — not excellence.
Who’s Getting the Priority?
According to census data and school records, Santa Barbara Unified School District (SBUSD) serves approximately 3,000 school-aged illegal immigrant children. https://www.migrationpolicy.org/data/unauthorized-immigrant-population/county/6083
Instead of encouraging assimilation and academic success in English, organizations such as the District Emergent Multilingual Learners Advisory Committee (DEMLAC) are actively lobbying for education to be taught in these students’ home languages and cultures.
Let’s be clear:
This is California taxpayer money being used to accommodate foreigners — foreigners who are here illegally.
Meanwhile, who suffers?
Every American child sitting in those classrooms.
Because resources are finite — and right now, millions in state and federal funding are going to support non-citizens over the children of legal residents.
The Real Numbers
In 1846, just before the U.S. acquired California, there were approximately 11,500 Mexican citizens living in the territory (Library of Congress). Most were wealthy ranchers — not indigenous, not enslaved, and certainly not representative of today’s 15 million Mexican-Americans in California.
California had fewer than 600 Mexican land grants, not all to Mexicans — covering vast but nearly empty areas.
So, let’s correct the record: The Chumash, Miwok, Tongva, and other tribes were here long before any Spaniard or Mexican, set foot in California. When Mexico took control from Spain in 1821, it continued the mission system that had already enslaved thousands of natives. Land grants were handed out to elite Mexican families while the indigenous were driven into forced labor.
So, when someone shouts “This land was stolen!” — ask them: from whom, and by whom?
After 1848, when California joined the United States, the Gold Rush triggered an industrial boom. Railroads, mining, and agriculture followed — built by Americans.
The bulk of the labor didn’t flood in until the 20th century — They came because of the prosperity created by the United States.
U.S. Census data shows:
1970: 2.7 million Hispanics in California
2020: Over 15.5 million (Source: Census Bureau)
This surge reflects immigration — not ancestry.
Asians Have a Stronger Historical Claim
By 1860, California’s population included 34,933 Chinese immigrants, largely due to the Gold Rush and railroad construction.
This number exceeded the Mexican population at the time — a fact supported by U.S. Census data.
So, if we’re assigning “historical claims” based on early migration and contribution to California’s infrastructure — Asians have a stronger argument than any other group.
The Ethnic Studies Lie — And the Puppets Behind It
In 2021, California made ethnic studies mandatory in high school (AB 101). But instead of learning facts, students are fed activist ideology.
These programs aren’t just biased — they’re deliberately misleading:
The ÉXITO Program at UCSB trains “ethnic studies” teachers to prioritize Chicano narratives and “decolonize” education.
Ethnic Studies Now, Just Communities, and MELAC, lobby for instruction in foreign languages and non-American cultural values.
MELAC even demanded SBUSD teach students in their home countries’ languages — regardless of legality or impact on assimilation.
These groups aren’t educating students — they’re indoctrinating them with state funded identity politics.
This isn’t about unity. It’s about division — cultural wars disguised as classroom reform.
And the more dysfunction you classify, the more money you get.
Follow the Money
Santa Barbara Unified receives over $35 million annually in supplemental funding for:
English Learners
Low-income students
LGBTQ+ initiatives
Undocumented youth
Low academic performance
Translation:
The worse the student does, the more money the district gets.
There is no financial reward for improving proficiency or helping students assimilate.
There’s only money in maintaining failure. Hence, the fifth largest economy in the world promotes the worst education in America.
That’s not education. That’s a cartel in suits and school badges.
Democrats Endorse the Lie — Because It Pays
Modern Democrat leaders continue to praise illegal labor under the same tired lines:
“Americans won’t do these jobs.”
“We need immigrants for agriculture, construction, and hospitality.”
But this ignores millions of unemployed Americans.
8.3 million illegal immigrants are currently employed in the U.S.
7.2 million citizens of similar skills are unemployed. (Source: Pew Research & Bureau of Labor Statistics)
So, the jobs exist — they’re just going to people who aren’t legally allowed to be here, and who will do the jobs for less with lower expectations of fair treatment.
Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) recently said:
“We need immigrants to do the work that most of our college-educated citizens are not willing to do.”
(Source: New York Post, March 2025)
Nancy Pelosi once added:
“We need them to pick the crops down here.”
(Source: ABC News, Sept 2022)
That’s not compassion. That’s exploitation — of immigrants, and of American workers.
Even Labor Unions Opposed Illegal Immigration
Labor leaders like Cesar Chavez and the United Farm Workers (UFW) publicly opposed illegal immigration. Why? Because it hurt American labor.
In 1969, Chavez and the UFW marched through California’s Imperial Valley to protest the use of illegal immigrants as strikebreakers — and even reported them to immigration authorities to protect union wages.
(Source: LA Times Archives, UFW history)
That’s not taught in a CA classroom.
That wasn’t racism. It was realism.
They knew illegal labor was the corporate workaround for paying fair wages.
So, Who’s Paying the Price?
Every American child in public school.
Every unemployed citizen bypassed for a job.
Every tax-paying family whose money funds the system — and whose children are marginalized for the sake of “equity.”
This isn’t about justice. It’s about control.
It’s about classifying dysfunction, weaponizing victimhood, and siphoning your tax dollars into the hands of bureaucrats and political operatives.
So, the Next Time Someone Tells You, “This Land Was Stolen…”
You tell them:
That’s not history.
That’s a hustle.
And it’s funded by the California taxpayer.
Politics, power, and control — to promote a cheap labor force and a source for money laundering — have trumped truth at the expense of Americans.

“For the love of money is the root of all evil…” — 1 Timothy 6:10
When I saw who went to the No Kings rallies around the country, I understood why the Dems are courting illegals, and not teaching assimilation to the young ones. They are the Dems only hope to stay in power. I got that the “Biden” administration was bringing in millions of illegals who'd vote for them. I just didn't realize how desperate their situation is. The weekend No Kings rallies were overwhelmingly attended by white Boomers, not even young white people. A friend in Florida described the people attending the No Kings rally where she lives as “escapees from assisted living.” An X posting showed that meanwhile, multi-ethnic groups of young people were attending the Trump/Army celebration. So this isn't just about courting illegals, it's about creating a class of illegals who are owned by the Dems. Because if they allowed them to actually assimilate and become free citizens they might very well choose to leave the Dem party, to see it as just a bunch of old white Boomers with nothing for them - which is exactly how it is. When you see what the Dems are doing it's more than just getting votes. It's about owning people. And isn't that slavery?
What is tragic is that public schools have become child care for working moms and dads. The students are the victims of indoctrination without basic education.
We should support the movement to attach the tax money per student to the student, and not the public school in their neighborhoods. Then it would get closer to an education free market. Our system is training a generation of baristas, living in their parents homes, waiting for AI to serve the customers mocha grandes from a machine at the drive thru window
