So why then did you ignore the fact that Trump allowed Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan (a top United Arab Emirates national security official) to acquire a 49% stake in World Liberty Financial (the Trump family's crypto venture) in a quid pro quo exchange for 70,000 advanced and restricted Nvidia AI chips to the UAE as part of a $2 billion cryptocurrency deal?
(Incidentally: Roughly $187 million flowed directly to Trump family entities, while $31 million went to entities associated with Steve Witkoff, a close advisor and co-founder of World Liberty.)
And what was the UAE planning on doing with these "advanced and restricted AI chips"? Well, many within the Trump administration (in particular, six key staff members at the National Security Council) worried the UAE would sell or share those chips with its close friend China, and that China in turn might use them to accelerate its efforts to build A.I.-enhanced missiles and drones.
So, what happened to those six key staff members at the NSC? Well, it seems that, upon the recommendation of unofficial White House soothsayer Ms. Lara Loomer, those concerned NSC officials were fired.
