One thing is for sure, our politicians are counting on the electorate to believe lies. Truth is becoming as rare and threatened as the most vulnerable endangered species. Instead of valiantly trying to save and propagate the last surviving examples of truth, the Establishment is clearly determined to hunt it down, imprison it, or shoot it dead. At the risk of sounding repetitious, if you seek Truth, put your phone on the counter and pick up your Bible.

Thank you, Robert, always great to read your column and entertaining to see your accompanying artwork.

But I do have problems with your Putin Derangement Syndrome. I wish you would list your sources for what you contend about him and Ukraine. I listen to a number of people on it and don't get anything like what you say. Douglas MacGregor, for example, has an entirely different view of how Putin is doing. More importantly, I find your view of how we got into this Ukraine conflict omits Biden's financial interest in a war in Ukraine. It also omits that we are at least partly responsible for the huge death toll of Ukrainian military. And today with you likening Putin to Gaddafi, I am frankly sickened. We killed Gaddafi, not because he was a monster, but because Hillary and Co. were afraid he would get economic independence for his country. Your writing today reminds me of Hillary's gleeful “we came, we saw, he died - hahahaha” (a kackle Kamala would die for), possibly Hillary's most disgusting moment.

If you are going to indulge in your hatred of Putin, I think you owe it to your readers to offer more than hearsay and Neo Con party line. We have too much media doing that already, albeit for the Left. I expect more substance from SB Current. I would be interested in hearing how you think Russia would fare without him. I would like to know your view of our coup in Ukraine to establish Zelensky. Of our continued baiting of Putin over the years. Of our bio labs on the border. And how the money we've spent on this is justified.

Thanks again for being part of SB Current's lively scene. You and the other columnists are giving Santa Barbara a much needed intelligent alternative voice.

"Why else would the destruction of the entire transportation grid (AND the core downtown) in Santa Barbara (AND Goleta) not result in RECALL?" THAT is the obvious question, isn't it? Years ago I remember reading "The state of a city's streets is the state of the Government." The goal is to aggravate automobile drivers into using bicycles instead. Not gonna happen. And when an ambulance is delayed by having to take a circuitous route avoiding bicycle-only road restrictions, and dense housing without sufficient parking provided is promoted, everyone suffers with the rats-in-a-cage rage.

Merchants and employees in Old Town need massive outside help. If a merchant complains, his/her business is fined, harassed by Council leaders and bureaucrats. Reprisals by costly. CarsAreBasic, civic clubs, customers, and a responsive taxpayer group need to initiate recall efforts. No doubt Old Town is slated to die which is the goal of the progressive, authoritarian Goleta Council: eliminate the private sector.

I read this ALL-OVER-THE-MAP Article by former "Intelligence Person" Mr. Eringer

titled "Corruption Galore! The Kamel's a Phony! Kennedy Lore! Putin Now Lonely!

I stear this story back to Santa Barbara with the real title as>>>>

"SB Corruption Galore, So-Called SB Leaders Phoney! Russian Organized Crimed Was

Operating In Good Ole SB and SBPD and Sheriffs Office Clueless!"

I quote from Mr. Eringer as follows "“President Biden's participation in this conspiracy to enrich his family constitutes impeachable conduct. By monetizing the Vice Presidency for his family's benefit, he abused his office of public trust, placing the welfare of his family ahead of the welfare of the United States. He also put foreign interests ahead of the interests of the American people.”

Ok Lets again bring this all home to our Lovely Little Ole Santa Barbara Beach Town.

Any of our So-Called SB Leaders enrich themselves and own "Expensive Mansions" up in Solvang and here in Santa Barbara? How about ownership of additional Expensive Real Estate? How did they do that on yearly Salaries of less than $300k to 350k a year? Hmmmm "GREAT" question.

And I quote from above>>>

"Research shows that the U.S. is one of the easiest places in the world to set up an anonymous shell company. According to a 2019 report by Global Financial Integrity, many states required more information to obtain a library card than to register a company that can be used for laundering money. A law passed by Congress in 2021, the Anti-Money Laundering Act (AMLA), aimed to change this. But it won’t succeed without all parties involved in combating money laundering — law enforcement, U.S. regulators and banks — trusting and using the new systems now under development."

Too many commenters here today are instead indulging in meta-conversations - they complain about how Robert Eringer says something rather than what he is actually saying. Yes I agree Poly. I am not into this for "Discussion" because as I clearly stated I have Documents that show widespread CORRUPTION here in Santa Barbara that include and is not limited to the Santa Barbara Police Dept. SBPD the Santa Barbara District Attorneys Office, the Santa Barbara County Sheriffs Dept and additional "SB Agencies". It is being addressed but for me not quick enough.

All you need to do is write-up your California Record Act/FOIA Letter and GO AND GET THE DOCUMENTS but I guarantee you those Documents that show the real problems they will not give them to you. Better understand how to go into court and compel the Records when they fail to produce them when requested. Interesting article.

What stands out immediately to me is the "Lack of Memory" that Americans have.

Sorry for this long winded example that I've seen it first hand locally here in Santa Barbara, during our wildfires that periodically sweep into our communities. For no more than 90 days after one of many fires burns down homes, the residents want to prevent another fire by removing all high risk vegetation and rebuilding homes that are fire safe. After 90 days, they are back to their old ways with vegetation growing back exactly where it was that carried fire to burn the homes down.

Sorry for the long winded comment. But Americans forget the lies that ALL politicians (Dems and Repukes) make. We never hold them accountable for their lies and corruption and THEY know it. They just make up another lie or escape goat.

We can’t get lax or apathetic. According to John 10:10 he’s out to “kill, steal and destroy” you. The "he" is the corrupt politician.

Thomas John, that doesn't make sense- this isn't "two sides" this is extreme evil passing itself off as good, these people are asserting a satantic agenda and one of the best ways to deal with satan is to mock him, those who represent satanic ideals ought to be mocked, it is much lighter than they deserve- If you step into reality with honesty, no words can describe how unvirtuous it is to have a person as horrible as Camal be an actual presidential candidate- she almost make Joe look presidential, which of course he never was if we take our founding seriously- to call for an end to name calling of those asserting such grave evil and harm to our country and citizenry is like asking those storming the beaches of Normandy not to use violence as they approach the enemy. On the other hand, however repugnant Trump might be in his personal life (certainly not facts in evidence but the current media obsession) he is pro-life, pro secure boarder, pro- energy independence, against the evil green agenda, against the unnatural LGBTQ agenda, against transgenderism, how about the media stop slandering and name calling a man asserting good policies? Policies that are grounded in natural law and good for our country- the satanists denigrate the office and there is nothing about proper name calling that touches the office, not in respect to the damage done by DEI hires and satanic militants. To say both sides should not name call is not apples and oranges, it is comparing apples and arsenic.

Or that children should not be introduced to transgenderism and gender fluidity at the age of six years? What Steven or I might call satanic or evil you can agree is just wrong, perverted or weird and hot healthy for children. It is not just two alternate viewpoints but is truly good vs evil. I think the challenge is where what do you do when they are 16, 18 or whatever. Most of the times kids sexuality is about a 1/2 or full decade ahead of the development of their judgement. First off: Thank you, everyone, for taking the time to comment. And thank you, the administrators of SB Current, for publishing the comments of all who care to share their thoughts.

All opinions are welcome. A free society values this above all.

Dr. Paul: You are clearly not only the quickest but the smartest of all. It must be the Armenian in you!

Howard Walther: No doubt, SB is a microcosm of the world and, as such, has its own bit of mischief going down. But given human nature, I’m not sure anywhere is safe. Please feel welcome to send me the documents you possess and I will investigate. Reringer@gmail.com.

Polly: I truly appreciate that you are enjoying my column.

Regarding artwork: It is nothing special. I’m not an artist and I claim no artistic ability. I utilize AI and an app I favor to generate graphics.

Regarding Putin: While operating undercover for FBI Counterintelligence in the late 1990s, I learned from former KGB Chairman Vladimir Kryuchkov (in Moscow) of a plan to install one of their own (from the KGB) to succeed Boris Yeltsin as President of Russia. Their plan came to fruition and, thereafter, Putin became almost psychopathic in his need to reach out beyond Russia’s borders to murder persons he believed to have betrayed the Motherland (and many since within Russia’s borders). It was also clear, way back in the late 1990s, that the old KGB intended to support him in his plan to corral what had become independent republics and try to recreate the Soviet Union.

Regarding sources: These are indicated as a prelude to my commentary.

Regarding Gaddafi: All things considered, despite Hillary’s glee, hard to lament his passing, given PA 103.

To Anna-Marie: Not sure where you are from, but in this country (and especially in the UK—the fortnightly “Private Eye” comes to mind) satire—including the use of satirical nicknames—is healthy in a democracy. Leaders, especially when they display a lack of leadership, deserve to be satirized.

To Robert Johnson: We are not in fourth grade and adults are perfectly capable of dealing with satire. If not, they should probably be back in fourth grade. As mentioned above, I use AI and another app to recreate graphics. (I don’t claim this as “artwork” on my own site but, for whatever reason, SB Current credits it that way.)

To Julia: You are missing the point of a “News Revue”: It attempts to cover a handful of items reported the previous week by news organizations.

To Thomas John: Thank you for bringing "Granny Lost her Marbles" to the forefront. I hope others have a chance to read my grandmother’s lapse from sanity due to the trauma she experienced as an Armenian child in Istanbul during the attempted genocide of Armenians by the Turks.

Regarding your objection to name-calling. I see it as satire, which plays a healthy role in a democracy. I see no need respect anyone just because they have been elected to office. They should expect investigation and satire to keep them in check. Furthermore, respect must be earned, not expected.

To Stephen: I’m not angry and I don’t hate; I merely see truth and humor where others may not.
