You've written a very good letter, and I never give up hope, but and this my opinion on your request. For someone like President Trump to change his personality from very abrasive to even a little bit less is going to be a difficult job. He has learned a lot in his time out of office from 2020 until now. Nobody is perfect, and the voting public has a very short memory, especially due to the 24/7 news cycle. I sincerely hope that someone has the guts to tell him what you've written, because I don't want this country to backslide. I'm hoping and praying that the Minnesota fraud is blown wide open, and California's will be blown out in the open for the country to see. I hope that Senator Mark Kelly is court-martialed,and at least one news agency loses their broadcast license. If he would focus on issues at hand instead of ranting on Truth Social, that would be great. I'm not too optimistic, but I sure hope that he does change. He means what he says and does what he says he's going to do. THATS what I like about him. Again thanks for letting us see your great letter.
Very compelling argument Jim. Let’s not forget that the first and virtually only major newspaper to have endorsed Trump in 16’, was the SBNP. The reaction in the newsroom must have been a full blown mutiny with the Dem operatives (disguised as news reporters) led by Roberts and his ilk, lighting their hair on fire, leading to a coup against McCaw and was the beginning of the end of a once great newspaper. At least this is the impression I have as an outsider.
Your admonition to Trump is sound and timely. Will he heed your advice? Can a leopard change his spots?
The mid terms will be pivotal for our country. The problem with the Republican bench? There are some loose cannons and dead weight that must be primaried. Green, Massie, Boebert, all dead weight and divisive. How do you herd a bunch of cats?
Moreover, as the MASSIVE fraud in multiple states is uncovered, undoubtedly, many GUILTY legislators on both sides of the aisle will go scorched earth, knowing full well that the gig is up!
You mentioned in your letter Trump squaring off with the LGBTQ lobby. Make no mistake, they are formidable, manipulative and prickly! Deviant, Scott Wiener is campaigning hard for Pelosi’s seat and will win it easily. His election will be disastrous for our state and those subscribing to family and Christian values.
Here’s to a successful and prosperous 26’. Sure hope we can hang on. As the saying goes; “failure is not an option!” After all, we have a country to save!
Trump just did>"He needs to woo the American people like never before"
Ken Langone – Home Depot co-founder who once backed Nikki Haley & trashed Trump – just went on CNBC and admitted: “I was wrong. I’m all in on Trump now.
Not to change the subject, BUT…As the old saying goes “all politics are local.” So true, as RINO Supe, Lavagnino is bowing out and not running for reelection, as revealed today in Noozchickenhawk.
Loosing a “conservative” voice on the BOS could be disastrous…there goes the neighborhood!
The leading candidate appears to be Teachers Union plant, Ricardo Valencia.
This could be the final nail in the coffin of any sense of financial sanity, driving us right off the cliff and giving the public sector Unions a free-for-all!
I can hear all the Trump bashing now, calling for an end to ICE and deportations!
I agree wholeheartedly, too bad his assistant isn't like Bob Nelson. We need another conservative on the board, the other ones are a lost cause. If his replacement is not strong, this county is done. As it is the phrase," put a fork in it it,it's done" applies. Right now the county is cooked and is close to drying out and burning.
I have been on board w/ DJT since the first nanosecond and assume I'm in the top 5% of those who support and appreciate his agenda, humor and intellect. Going forward it is essential he or someone around him exercise a degree of discipline and put a filter or two in place until the midterms at a minimum.
It is not about his legacy. It is about what he can accomplish for this nation going forward if both the House and Senate are held. Too much at stake as we learned from the damage of both the Obama and Biden administrations.
Democrats tend to vote based on emotion and party allegence. Republicans tend to vote on policy. Every (discussion/argument/prelude to getting ejected) conversation I have with Democrats regarding Trump begins with pointing out the great policy which you summarized and is met with attacks of Trumps character or pure fabrications regurgitated from left leaning media. Trump is a Nazi, Hitler, threat to democracy, Putin's bitch, prefers Russian dressing. No matter the success of Trump's policies, the Democrats will focus on character issues, and rant filled tweets only reinforce in their little pea brains that Trump is unfit for the job. As Jim so well summarized, if Trump loses the house in the midterm it will likely be his own doing and entirely avoidable. But Trump is Trump and angry unhinged tweets are a part of his character that I have zero confidence will ever change.
I totally agree with your comment. I have Democratic relatives and friends who I love, but to keep their friendships and family ties,I avoid talking politics unless they bring up an issue where we both can discuss it in a respectful manner. My friends who're Democrats and I have shared interests,so we concentrate on those. I'm the type who does consider both sides and will listen ,but usually there's no respectful response outside of anger, ego, and an agreement to agree to disagree. Trump is just Trump. I still don't like it,but he'll never change, unless God changes him. I'm praying for THAT. I truly believe he survived his assassination attempts for a God given reason, but that can change because of his behavior and the behavior of the people of this country. I, myself can't change anything except through prayer, voting, and supporting good candidates. I'll cope with what happens regardless because of my faith and who's REALLY in charge,God.
Bill, well said and from the heart. I too pray for political outcomes but ask myself if I am praying for evil not to be evil. Isn't evil necessary to provide a challenge which tests our souls in this life to determine our ultimate destiny? And I do believe that the progressive agenda is pure evil.
So well said and summarized. What's frustrating are liberals and democrats who would literally read this and come way with something else. It's a bizarre thing to witness how they will not allow themselves to absorb the words and accept them for truth. The hatred runs so deep it clouds all vision of reality.
Thanks Jim for codifying my thoughts. The Democrats platform is based on criticizing something you say as using your accomplishments will be deadly for them.
I think you got 9 out of 10 correct with your list. The last #10 is highly questionable. The advanced detailed planning for that operation shows he has a solid and clear reason on why he did NOT give the nod to Machado. The reason he is trying to deal with the vice president of Venezuela, initially at least, is to keep the nuts and bolts of operating the oil infrastructure working. He was so unambiguous in his statement makes me believe he has/had good reasons to put off the future head of state question until the dust settles, so to speak. Just my 2 cents.
David, Right you are, but my guess is that Ms. Machado is going to come back to Venezuela to huge welcoming crowds and that she'll either be deemed "president" or an election will be held post haste (less than a month) and she'll win it in a landslide. I hope she arranges substantial protection before she sets out on her quest, as it is a dangerous task to undertake. I don't even know her politics, but I trust her!
Venezuela’s new President and her physician brother, who heads Congress, have strong loyalties, economic, and diplomatic ties to China and Russia. Again, Chess-master Trump is three steps ahead in his strategic moves.
My kid who is a chess master, taught me to be aggressive, work the middle and go after the Rook, Bishop and Knight first, ie Walz, Omar, Schiff, Hilary (Queen) and Obama (King).
Thank you for concisely stating what most of us are thinking..."we like Trump's policies but he's unnecessarily abrasive and curse..." I sincerely hope you find a way for him to read this so we have a chance that he doesn't "blow" it. Blessings

I pray for a lot of things, one of my prayers is The Our Father. That's all I'll say.
Pea brains? I'd venture a majority of them would fit within the Planck distance.
I couldn’t have written a better letter. Praying for God to bless this administration and to further it by electing JD Vance as our next President
Perfectly stated, especially the part where President Trump needs to stop being a bratty toddler with name-calling, etc…
Well done Mr. Buckley. The mid terms are so important. Hope your letter gets to him or his staff.

Absolutely agree with you ,and everyone will suffer because of their voting decisions.
Thanks Jim for codifying my thoughts. The Democrats platform is based on criticizing something you say as using your accomplishments will be deadly for them.
Excellent, as usual. I shall be disseminating to many your thorough, well-articulated, thoughtful essay.
Excellent, "preaching to the choir"
T still has a domestic to-do list to push him over the finish line:
Present and implement a plausible plan for our country's health insurance issues, this alone would probably seal the deal.
The Democrats gambled and lost on Obama Care. There's bigger problems, like voter ID, expelling the illegals, and many others.

Checkmate! Can one imagine Trump single handedly toppling the gangster regimes in Latin America, the Middle East and the Democratic Party to boot!
I like it! How about a nice game of chess.

Objective [end]: CHECKMATE king
Do you attack the king at the beginning of the game?
Do you attack and remove pawns first?
Do you attack and remove bishops, rooks, knights next?
Do you attack and remove queen mid-to-end?

Do emotions affect critical thinking?
