Democrats Giving America’s (and Americans’) Bounty Away for Free

Recently, President Donald Trump officially launched his push to end the gravy train that Joe Biden and Democrats crassly employed – against the law – to prop up a middle-class lifestyle for border-crossers in our midst who could not otherwise afford to stay here at the level of comfort they were promised without it. The Trump administration is removing illegal aliens from state Medicaid rolls by cross-checking them against federal databases, a move that is igniting M-80 firecrackers in the shorts of Democrat activist lawyers.

When it comes to welfare benefits flowing to illegal immigrants, Democrats have a serious problem, indeed. They can't make up their minds whether those here who’ve made false claims of oppression are unlawfully receiving federal taxpayer Medicaid dollars, or not.

When Capitol Hill was debating "The One Big Beautiful Bill," one of the Left's most repeated refrains was there was no need to ban these people from our welfare slop trough because putting illegals on the Medicaid rolls was already against the law, cleverly side-stepping the obvious that Biden's people were already shoveling billions in cash into bank accounts controlled by those who shouldn't be here. Democrats conveniently forgot to mention the twelve blue states that explicitly expanded non-emergency Medicaid coverage to illegal immigrants.

Back in June, President Trump made a move that forced Democrats to drop the act and show their hand. His HHS Department began sharing Medicaid data from four states plus Washington, D.C. with ICE.

Maestro, cue the outrage.

Within hours, California A.G. Rob Bonta, New York's Letitia James and 19 additional Democrat-run states filed suit in federal court to block the data-sharing. By so doing, Democrats gave up the game in the process.

Democrats love to lie in the court of public opinion. Lying in federal court, though, comes with perjury charges. By suing to stop Team Trump, they all but confessed: Illegal aliens are on Medicaid, and blue states are desperate to keep it that way. Without the impediment of injunctions, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Dr. Mehmet Oz have doubled down, expanding their partnership with ICE to include nationwide Medicaid data.

To help the administration's effort, Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) demanded that New York Governor Kathy Hochul cough up the data on Medicaid-receiving illegal immigrants in the Empire State, citing her obligations to legally report enrollment and eligibility data to the federal government. The Democrats' lawsuits continue their track record of fighting beyond normal limits to protect non-citizens, in this case by keeping their Medicaid data "safe" and out of the reach of those with a fiduciary responsibility to taxpayers. If only in the eyes of their constituents could Democrats be perceived as representing taxpayer interests with similar diligence.

Democrats' claim that no illegal aliens have their hands in the Medicaid cookie jar also flies in the face of Medicaid's own records. During Biden's first three years in office, taxpayers spent $16 billion on “emergency” services for illegal immigrants, with federal taxpayers forking over 70% of those costs. When you add in the billions likely spent on non-emergency services in direct circumvention of federal law, the total figure of Medicaid resources going to illegal aliens is incalculable and represents an enormous transfer of wealth from citizen-Americans to those who shouldn't be here at all.

U.S. Medicaid Benefits for Everyone in the World?

Here's the bitter pill Democrats can't swallow: They need a never-ending horde of dependent people to bolster electoral numbers in blue locales by bloating the census rolls and keeping them in power without having to deal civilly and democratically with their enemies. To attract large numbers to approach our borders and keep them here indefinitely once they get here, Democrats must bribe them with the goodies of a middle class life such as food stamps, section 8 housing, Medicaid, etc. We're talking substantial subsidization here.

American citizens don't get this kind of cushion as they face the rigors of life. Most wouldn't ask for it either. Medicaid was designed as a safety net for hard-working U.S. citizens who fell through the cracks. Democrats are exploiting all these slushy welfare benefits to entice a whole new population to invade our social spaces and see to it they can live comfortable middle-class lives while working minimum wage jobs. Withdraw Medicaid from the mix, with ICE already introducing extra stress in their lives, several million illegal immigrants just may take Trump's generous offer to self-deport on his terms and then join a legal queue to get back here on our terms. This is the Democrats’ worst nightmare.

One last set of comments on Medicaid. Wealthy nations can afford some socialism as long as they don't kill the goose that continues laying golden eggs. But the U.S. isn't so wealthy that it can offer the fruits of its home-grown socialism to every unhappy, alienated, desperate, wide-eyed utopian vagabond from around the globe.

It doesn't work that way.

Why should a new person to our land assimilate into the melting pot of everybody who's already here if he/she is instantly receiving the bounty produced by the people already here?

Our ancestors came to America when it offered nothing more than opportunity. A hand up, no handouts. No guarantees whatsoever. Assimilation was the road in those days for most people to gain acceptance, respect, and a small slice of the American pie. It was sink or swim. Our history books don't mention it much, but about 20% of those processed through Ellis Island returned to Europe within a few months after getting here.

America wasn't - isn't - for everyone.

What Democrats are doing with Medicaid is stealing from Americans to bribe a whole horde of people to come here and take our place. Money meant for low-income families and other temporary unfortunates – American citizens – is funneled to people who shouldn't be here, most likely don't deserve to be here, wouldn't be here under ordinary circumstances, and largely don't like us or respect us. This theft, while egregious, must be focused on the perpetrators of this heist, not the poor sots who had little to lose by taking these hateful people up on their scheme and coming here for some exciting improvisational action.

In summing up, when ineligible people of all kinds take Medicaid benefits fraudulently, they not only suck up taxpayer resources, but they also reroute precious, finite resources from legitimate Medicaid recipients who already must compete for a limited pool of providers...

...Yet, congressional Democrats, in conjunction with 20 blue states, are willing to prop up this fraud and hoax by running interference for the Bad Guys to ensure that it continues.
