Speak English. Abolish USAID. Dismantle Department of Education.
Congressional Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene leads on matters of priority concern. Dismantle the failed, politicized, teacher-union-controlled, Dept of Education, advocates MTG and former Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, as Louisiana U.S. Senator John Kennedy adds: “If you’re upset, call somebody who cares. Get use to this. It’s USAID today, the Dept of Education tomorrow,” with more to come. Buckle Up.
MTG has also called on CEOs of PBS and NPR to testify on “systematically biased coverage,” one-sided reporting, adding that they don’t “deserve a single cent of American taxpayer money.” Media funding comes in part from USAID, which was shut down except for essential personnel who were notified on February 6, at 3pm EST.
The action is non-stop, and all runs together. Democracy 2025, the Brookings Institute’s Playbook for Democrats (pdf.usaid.gov or Congress.gov Brookings) keeps Democrat leaders focused on controlling the narrative to pushback against President Trump, while Team Trump picks up the pace.
In case you haven’t had extra hours to keep up with it all, USAID funds corporations, Non- Governmental Organizations (NGOs), and Non-Profits (NPOs), to mobilize and direct volunteers, experts, foundations, universities, and researchers, in partnerships to implement projects. USAID was established in 1961 to implement the Foreign Assistance Act (crsReports.congress.gov). Its CEO is Harvard Law trained London immigrant Samantha Powers, who previously worked for President Obama and was our UN Ambassador, among other positions. On Sunday, USAID went dark locking out 600 personnel.
ENGLISH FIRST: Back to Basics
Language is culture. Immigrants assimilate by using the common language. Around 2001, I met two men in D.C. who started an NPO to make English the official language of the U.S. We engaged. Being a Californian, I pointed out that English is the official codified language of California (Constitution Article 3, Section 6 added by Prop 63 in 1986; Section 3.5 added after passage of Prop 5 in 1978).
Despite Section 6(c) stating the CA legislature shall enforce, and (d) advising businesses of their rights, use of English in CA seemingly is totally ignored – some days it is rarely heard.
Back in 2004-14, at Santa Barbara Jr and Senior Highs, after years of informing many on campus of Article 3, Section 6(b), I noticed school staff would stop conversing in Spanish whenever I appeared. Then I’d be invited out for coffee, having become a curiosity, and still remain a ‘Chica’ friend. I’ve been told no one else messages that English is California’s Official Language to be used in public spaces and schools. I bet most are unaware.
Representative Greene’s legislation is needed, but will you, or anyone, enforce it? Time will tell.
USAID: Prioritize Permanent Closure
A full-scale criminal investigation of USAID financing, including the use of our tax dollars to invade our country, is of highest priority. If you want to fix a problem, figure out who’s profiting. Follow the money. Trace every dollar to every group, company, person, and bureaucrat. USAID has been working together with the Organization for International Migration (UNOIM), cartels, NGOs, NPOs, and politicians including former Secretary Mayorkas (Homeland Security) and Secretary Blinken (State). USAID even identified specific groups for caravans and where to move them. All funded by taxpayer dollars.
I first became aware of USAID around 1988 when as a Director on a Statewide NPO – Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) –, I began attending annual seven-day meetings in D.C. for almost 26 years. An estimated 97% of California’s population increase came mostly from illegal immigration, Visa overstays, anchor babies, and chain migration. CAPS’ major donors didn’t want the other 49 states to turn into California. Annual DC meetings were led by Federation of Americans for Immigration Reform (FAIR), Numbers USA, Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), CAPS, and others.
What happens first in California soon infects the rest of the country. TV and print media ads were made to inform Americans. Around 2003 Victor Davis Hanson wrote Mexifornia, part political analysis and memoir, to message what to expect from uncontrolled borders. VDH joined CAPS as an advisor, while at Hoover Institute and advising the White House, as did an Immigration Naturalization Agent Mike Cutler, who painstakingly mentored me. How could illegal migration be stopped when too many Californians feared speaking out? When did our government become the enemy of its citizens?
By 1996, instructional pamphlets with U.S. agency contacts info, plus maps advising how and where to cross – published and distributed by the U.S. – started to appear. In other words, tax dollars were used to support the invasion. Annual DC meeting attendees from across the country were alarmed, prompting investigative writers to pursue facts to inform a largely disinterested public. During COVID-19, USAID helped fund bio-weapon programs in hostile foreign countries such as China and Ukraine.
Transparency Required
More damage by USAID surfaces regularly. The many USAID deep-state operations are not new. What is new is disclosure of USAID operations endangering national security. Finally, USAID will be held accountable for money laundering supporting NGOs and NPOs of Democrat operatives.
In the meantime, CA was written off as a lost cause by major donors trying to save some of the state for future generations, aware of growth’s impacts on the environment and quality of life, along with California’s leadership void. A decision was made to merge CAPS into NumbersUSA.com for sensible immigration. NumbersUSA was founded in 1996 in the Midwest to inform the public and legislators of “the numbers, and to track how each votes on every immigration issue for public perusal. My Rep Salud Carbajal has personal experience; having been brought here as a child, he earned his citizenship via military service.
California’s population was 10 million in 1950; today it is approaching 40 million. Our state’s 1950 General Plan for infrastructure calls for a maximum population of 30 million. Overpopulation has led to increased density, building in unsafe wildfire areas, lack of adequate water storage facilities, energy, etc.
The fight for America and California goes beyond just voting. Every citizen has a contribution to make. Start messaging.
Let facts be discovered, truths be known.

I recall when Californians voted to end bilingual education. Among those most opposed to bilingual education were the Hispanic families who wanted their kids to learn and excel in school. I remember talking about this issue with the Asst Superintendent of Lompoc Schools. I suggested that an intensive 1-semester English language program be instituted. It was 1989. The previous year while in East Berlin, our 10 year old was enrolled in the GDR school for "auslanders." Eric studied -- and spoke -- only German 5 1/2 days a week , the only English speaking child among Cubans, Hungarians, Poles, and other Eastern bloc countries. In a few months he was fluent, including a perfect Berliner accent. The educator's response? "If we did that, we'd be segregating those students." To which I replied: "I'm talking about segregating them for one semester, you are segregating these young people for life." BTW, my primary reason for the meeting, my concerns that white flight was a reality in LUSD, from the "downtown" middle and high schools, to Vandenberg and Cabrillo across the valley. He saw no problem. We stayed with the schools within biking distance from our home. Eric received a fine education, including a social environment that reflected his community, making him a better human being.
Very informative article Denise. Admittedly, it is somewhat depressing to be made aware of these facts, but being aware is very necessary if any changes are to be made. You would think the vast majority of legal citizens and taxpayers would be up in arms about fraud, waste and illegal immigration. Sadly, this is not the case as many have a direct financial interest in maintaining this failing system. It should be obvious to all that our education systems are teetering on implosion. The current system is weighed down by ESL, predatory teachers unions and outrageous budgets and then to think we are dead last in industrialized nations when it comes to standardized testing.
The election of Donald Trump has shed a beacon of light on USAID and the fraud, abuse and theft of public funds which apparently, has been rampant for decades. What has become obvious is, USAID is nothing more than a slush fund for Democratic and liberal social causes. Sure, how else does one explain how groups of loud, obnoxious radicals can be activated so quickly, seemingly on a moments notice. In effect, liberal causes have a dedicated “Goon Squad” on call and ready to be implemented against any group which poses a threat. Just today, a hugh rally and protest at UCSB calling for a strike of service workers. Wonder if any USAID funding involved? I remember well, seeing bus loads of Teamsters being brought into UCSB to protest, intimidate and bully those that stand in their way. Suspiciously, there frequently seemed to be an uptick in cases of staff vehicles having flat tires.
I find it interesting that Samantha Powers, former USAID Administrator, had a net worth of $6.7 million and in a short 3 years, has now a net worth of over $30 million. How is this possible even in a Bullish stock market? This should tell all we need to know.
I welcome the opportunity for citizens to get involved with local DOGE and start dismantling this massive confidence game!
