“Harry & Meghan’s ‘Revolving Door’ of Employees Continues” (Daily Mail)
Hapless Harry and Me-Again have lost 18 of their employees in the last five years (half of them since they exited the UK in 2020).
The most recent to flee was Harry’s chief of staff Josh Kettler, who was in his job for a mere three months.
I asked ChatGPT (AI) to explain such a phenomenon.
Response: The most common reason might be poor treatment, including disrespect, unreasonable demands, or a toxic work environment. If the employer is harsh, unkind, or difficult to work with, employees are likely to leave quickly.
“Harry & Meghan’s A Team: Another One Bites the Dust” (The Times of London)
“You could not escape them,” a source tells Valentine Low in his book, Courtiers. “There were no lines or boundaries — it was last thing at night, first thing in the morning.”
The source adds: “Every ten minutes, I had to go outside to be screamed at by her and Harry. It was, ‘I can’t believe you’ve done this. You’ve let me down. What were you thinking?’ It went on for a couple of hours.”
Sounds awfully like ChatGPT is on point.
“Prince Harry Will NOT be Attending Funeral of Robert Fellowes” (Daily Mail)
Lord Fellowes was not only an extremely senior Buck House bureaucrat (top adviser to Queen Elizabeth II for 13 years) but was married to Princess Diana’s sister.
The proffered excuse for non-attendance: Royal security was removed from hapless Harry (he continues to fight this in court), and he feels unsafe while in the UK without it.
The likely reason: Not invited, on the basis that Prince William will not attend if his younger brother is present.

“Ukraine Seizes More Land in a Week Than Russia Managed in Eight Months” (Daily Telegraph)
Ukraine military forces are in control of 386 square miles encompassing 14 settlements in Kursk. Russians are now evacuating from a second region, Belgorod.

Make that 74 settlements within 400 square miles.
Troops are now within striking distance of several Russian ballistic missile bases, and hundreds more Ukrainian fighters continue to pour into Kursk and the neighboring Belgorod region.

Uh, make that 621 square miles…
Yet the response of most Russians has been a passive, fatalistic shrug.
“Putin Facing Revolt as Kremlin ‘Questions Leadership’ Over Humiliating Ukraine Invasion” (Daily Express)
The Kremlin is just as cutthroat – even more so – than the Beltway Bog. Knives are always out, on high alert for friend or foe, whomever turns round and exposes their back.
Despite putrid Putin’s peremptory piloting, he is not immune from Kremlin cutters.
Putin Wringing his hands. Might some kind soul wring his neck?
“Russian Commander Revolts Against Putin and Demands Coup Over Ukraine Failure” (Daily Express)
Says private military chief Gregory Zakrevsky, “Our country is not just on the brink of disaster or already right next to it, our country is already in trouble – in big trouble.
"Drones are flying all over central Russia, right up to Moscow and St. Petersburg. They even attacked the Kremlin.
"Our Black Sea fleet is being pushed out.
"Our aviation is practically not working.”
A mighty military without maintenance or mastery is meaningless.
“Chinese Organ Harvesting Victim Woke up Chained to Bed with Parts of Liver & Lung Missing” (Daily Telegraph)
The Chinese Communist Party has – purportedly – harvested organs from healthy political prisoners for decades.
The formula is simple: Round up the usual suspects (members of Falun Gong, a spiritual movement), imprison them and, when bigwig elders are ailing and in need organ transplants, wheel them into surgery and cut out whatever’s been ordered up.
Also targeted: Uyghurs, Tibetans, Christians, and Muslims.

“Walz Tells ‘Old School Libertarian, Republican’ Nebraskans’ This is the Ticket for You’” (NBC News)
"Look, in Minnesota, we respect our neighbors and their personal choices," is one of Walz's signature lines on the campaign trail: "We live by the golden rule, and that golden rule is, mind your own damn business."
Let’s get real: Under the draconian “golden rule” of Tampon Tim Walz, this was how Minneapolis operated during COVID:
No personal choice for people wanting to sit on their porch.
But if you chose to riot, loot, and set fire to businesses…

“Tim Walz’s Immigration Record Mirrors Democrat Push to Embrace Migrants” (The Wall Street Journal)
As the Democrat governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz signed into law initiatives allowing immigrants in the country illegally to apply for driver’s licenses, qualify for free tuition at state universities, and enroll in the state’s free healthcare program for low-income residents.
Nothing is free. Tuition and healthcare for illegal immigrants is at your expense.
And that’s still not all…

“Judge Merchan’s Daughter Raked in $12.7 Million in First Six Months of 2024” (Declassified.Live)
The boom in business coincided with Trump’s six-week trial in Merchan’s Manhattan courtroom, which began on April 15. Prior to the start of the jury trial, Merchan repeatedly sided with Bragg while demonstrating open hostility to the former president. Merchan imposed a gag order early on and then proceeded to deny nearly every defense motion.
This is not unlike anonymous “collectors” purchasing Hunter Biden’s paintings at astronomical prices.
Dems have a way of ensuring payoffs that don’t appear to be outright bribes.
“Trump Shooter’s Body is ‘Gone’ as Congressman Discovers ‘Disturbing Fact’ About Investigation (Daily Mail)
Excerpt from Congressman Clay Higgins’ Preliminary Investigative Report to the task force investigating the attempted assassination of Donald Trump:
My effort to examine Crooks’ body on Monday, August 5, caused quite a stir and revealed a disturbing fact… the FBI released the body for cremation 10 days after J13. On J23, Crooks was gone. Nobody knew this until Monday, August 5, including the County Coroner, law enforcement, Sheriff, etc. Yes, Butler County Coroner technically had legal authority over the body, but I spoke with the Coroner, and he would have never released Crooks’ body to the family for cremation or burial without specific permission from the FBI.
Again, similar to releasing the crime scene and scrubbing crime scene biological evidence... this action by the FBI can only be described by any reasonable man as an obstruction to any following investigative effort. Please note, Mr. Chairman, that on J23, the day that Crooks was cremated, both the Homeland Security Committee and the Oversight Committee had begun House Committee jurisdictional investigation into J13, and Speaker Johnson had already stated that he was forming an Official Congressional investigative body. Why, then, by what measure, would the FBI release his body to the family for cremation? This pattern of investigative scorched earth by the FBI is quite troubling.
I understand from a reliable source that a law enforcement officer on protection duty July 13th in Butler, PA wrote in his report: “Trump should’ve never gotten out the car.”
There is something not quite right about all the so-called “bungling.” If you want my opinion, “they” had a plan—and that’s what got bungled. I’ve seen enough shit go down in the past 61 years (let’s call it the magician’s sleight of hand) not to believe otherwise.
(While in Vegas on March 26th, I serendipitously learned a couple of things from an ex-special forces guy that, with hindsight, and without going into detail, seriously bolster my contention.)
“What’s Wrong with Starbucks?” (WSJ)
More like, what’s right? (Not much these days.)
Montecito’s Starbucks used to be a gem: comfy furniture, coffee morning moms and Rob Lowe, Dennis Miller, and Peter Noone popping in for a cup of joe.
Now it’s a tarnished piece of costume jewelry: sparse tables & chairs (plain & stiff), tip-prompts, preferential service for call-in pick-up – and riffraff. Sadly, Starbucks has evolved into a peddler of 500-plus-calorie concoctions rendering it more an obesity parlor than a coffee house.
“Experts Reveal the Seven Odd Behaviors Linked to a High IQ” (Daily Mail)
Here’s at least how to fake it:
Stay up late sitting all by yourself in a bar or late-night coffee roasting emporium (not Starbucks), clutter up your space and, alternatively, talk to yourself, daydream, and read a book.

Thank you, Robert, for bringing up the body harvesting of political prisoners in China. It was one of the most infuriating parts of the BLM summer that I would get emails from people about racism and slavery in America - I knew one young white woman who marched up and down Coast Village Road carrying a Black Lives Matter sign past the pricey boutiques - when they were using devices that had most likely been made by slaves in China or driving a car that used batteries made by slaves. When I explained the cruel irony of that to them, they were unmoved.
I became interested in the Falun Gong when I lived in downtown NYC. I would walk to Chinatown to shop for Asian ingredients and to have Dim Sum at the strange and wonderful Nom Wah Tea Parlor. I often passed elderly Chinese people doing Falun Gong in one of the parks. I became interested in the practice and learned about the persecution of them in China. I sent money to Epoch Times, because of their connection to the Falun Gong. Subsequently, I learned about the Uyghurs as well, and joined the Campaign for Uyghurs and send money every Ramadan to that organization.
The harvesting of body parts isn't restricted to political prisoners. For a long time I've gotten alerts about Planned Parenthood from organizations that, as far as I can tell, are doing reputable investigative work into PP's financial relationship with the sale of aborted baby parts, as well as writing to our CA government against late term abortion, because it so obviously is just that, a body part business possibility.
For me, the ugliest of hypocrisies of the Left is its exploitation of “oppression” while ignoring the very real slavery and organ harvesting going on in the world.
I’m enjoying this news update with the art work! News from Montecito to Minnesota to Moscow, all right here on the Current, flavored with insightful commentary.
