What an awesome heritage!

Sadly, we live in a city governed by an elite who pander to their hate America patrons and voters.

This is the price we pay for living in what Ronald Reagan described as a city in the same zip code as heaven

Thank you, for reminding us why we celebrate Flag Day through George East's heroic, patriotic story. About 6 years ago, I was driving westbound along Foothill, not far from my home, when I saw a flag discarded off the road. I made a u-turn at the next light. By the time I got back, maybe a minute later, a man had already stopped; I could see him gently picking up the soiled flag. I shouted my thank you to him. He replied, "I'm a Marine. How could I not." Denice and I were fortunate that our public school education included a strong grounding in Civics. The school days began with the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a patriotic song. Every day. In my California grade school, crosswalk "safety patrol" students were also responsible for the raising of the flag in the morning, and lowering after school. We learned how to fold the flag. It was considered an honor to be selected. Fly Old Glory proudly this June 14. Then again on July 4, the 250th. (Costco has flags for sale currently.) Mine flies every day, to be replaced this upcoming Flag Day as I do every year.

A wonderful piece, Denise. They don’t respect it because their family’s don’t have any shared experiences like yours. They’ve come from other countries to take advantage of our largest and government programs and have not assimilated to this country. We continue to hope that as they live and enjoy the American way of life that they will come to love the country as much as we do and we’ll see that the policies that allowed them in are unsustainable and will ruin the way of life that they have come to love.
