Thank you, Brent. An important piece. This “insurrection” is going to go down as one of the greatest disgraces of American history. I hope that the true insurrectionists - those hired by the enemies of Trump to cause the scene - will be brought to justice and jailed for life, including that officer who was honored for killing Ashli Babbitt.
I am confident the truth will come out Polly. Julie Kelly has been doing accurate investigative journalism since the beginning. Follow Julie on Substack or X to see well sourced evidence of what happened to your fellow Americans. The people snared by the Fedsurrection are some of the most Patriotic and well behaved citizens in the community. What was done to us, in some cases by our fellow Republicans, is beyond the pale.
ALL J6 political prisoners languishing in Democrat built gulags should be pardoned on Day 1 of Trump’s new administration. Furthermore; they should all be apologized to on behalf of a grateful nation for their service.
A national monument and day of mourning should be established for Ashley Babbit
Those who arrested them and saw fit to put up a razor wire fence around OUR Capitol should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law. This must never be allowed to happen again.
All J6ers should receive a ‘Pardon of Innocence’ day one. As more truth comes to light, all those who think a riot occurred and angry Trump voters “stormed the Capitol” are going to feel embarrassed and ashamed. You let all of us be defamed and persecuted by the same people who told you small businesses had to close but Walmart could stay open during that ridiculous lockdown. The Insurrection was the 2020 Election. The J6 entrapment was the cover-up.
I hope that in the fullness of time we can learn two things. To what extent was federal law enforcement involved in perpretating the events of J6. To what extent were the results of the 2020 election determined by fraudulent votes?
Jeff, it does not matter whether there were fraudulent votes. The simple act of creating an electoral process that is not trusted invited the actions of the protestors on January 6, 2021.
If the electoral system is not fixed, it will happen again and again.
To not fix this obvious corrupted untrusted system we now have (they literally just finished counting votes today in California 🙄😳🤷♂️) is a travesty of justice.
For instance, Why do we have digital voting machines? Why do we allow mass mail-in voting? Why do we allow collection boxes?
EG: The "benefit" is getting unionized government employees to issue the final "adjudication" on questionable ballots. After the fact, when a discreet number of the necessary winning votes has already been determined.
Cure faulty ballots BEFORE, they are cast. Not afterwards. Let voters decide if they want to cast a faulty ballot that will be discarded BEFORE the vote count; not the county election office making that decision well afterwards..
I’ve been trying to expose the truth for for years. Stop watching cable news and spend more time listening to long form podcasts or reading posts on X, the only social media that allows diversity of opinions.
People on the left have been aware that the US has political prisoners for decades. Some on the right have known it, but some good that has come from the evil persecution of J6 protestors is that now many many more do. It is my hope that the J6 protestors will be fully pardoned and that the overall increase in awareness of the risk of the abuse of the legal system for political ends is used to protect against such abuse going forward. Leonard Peltier and Mumia Abu Jamal should be freed. Lavoy Finicum should be honored and his murders prosecuted. Assange should be pardoned. Arabs like Sami Al Arian and Tarek Mehanna targeted after 9/11 for speech or by entrapment should be freed. There should be an apology for Obama's ghoulish judge, jury and executioner killing of US citizens by drone of Anwar al Awlaki and his son, Abdulrahman al Awlaki. I am convinced Derek Chauvin and his fellow officers did not get a fair trial and he should be pardoned. This is by no means an exhaustive list, but it threatens all of our rights when we let political fads and emotional media climates allow for the trampling of the rights of citizens.
Standing up for equality under the law for all persons has nothing to do with sympathy. This is my biggest complaint about politics these days. Yes, be passionate, but don't let your feelings cloud your reason or principles. Even if you think the J6 protestors were all deluded sheep supporting someone who vaporized a man going to a peace meeting and let his Jewish supremacist son-in-law put together a "peace" deal that cornered the already marginalized Palestinians and who love jabs b/c the legacy media said the were "safe and effective" 4 million times, if J6ers have been charged, slandered and persecuted for not even breaking the law, that is a problem for all of us.
The degree and areas of indoctrination are large. No one is free from all of them, so who are we to judge? Just keep trying to get people to question and stand up for the good, the beautiful and the true for the common good.
Anyone who watched Tucker Carlsons piece on Jacob Chansley would realize how ridiculous the charges against Chansley and the vast majority of people who entered the Capital were. A few were appropriately punished but thousands were caught up in the witch hunt by the progressive left. Multiple pardons are due those who were abused.
It was an orchestrated entrapment. Everyone should receive a Pardon of Innocence. Once you start looking at the real footage you will see police attacking peaceful people, attempting to provoke self defense.
No doubt Trump will free these people. They've already paid the price in excess "harassment" received in jail. The ones that put them in jail should be placed in jail for the cruelty towards these patriots.
Those who conspired or lied about those of us who peacefully assembled that day should get the due process denied those of us falsely accused and punished for our “crimes”. Every American deserves a jury of their peers and honest prosecutors, investigators and judges, something J6ers were denied.
Admittedly, I have different, conflicting feelings regarding J6. As with many situations like this, I ask myself what would I’ve done differently? The simple answer is, I would never have put myself in that situation by NOT entering the Capital, KNOWING that do so was a crime and PROBABLY a set up. Having said that, I do feel those involved were definitely targeted and most likely were set up to take the fall and to make a political statement. Too many bizarre facts associated with this, such as possible FBI plants, and Capital Police literally waving protesters into the building. Why didn’t Pelosi require additional security, the National Guard that day, knowing there would be an unruly crowd? Why was an unarmed Ashley Babbitt shot fatally by Michael Byrd, who was then given an award for bravery? Way too many unanswered questions, Congress should have another hearing on this disgrace and get to the bottom of this. Never mind the Democrat J6 hearing, which was nothing more than an embarrassing sham. However, one thing a did learn in that hearing is, Rep. Bennie Thompson is actually a fool, liar and moron!
I can tell you, having worked on the Hill. It's trespassing to even step on the Capitol steps. Did you know that? And all areas above the steps have various states of restrictions. Even though I wore a pass around my neck most of the Capitol was off limits to me.
When I lived in Wash DC in the 1970's everything was open - you could just walk in, attend hearings, ride the little train and share elevators with the congress people and media personalities. Even eat in the cafeteria. Made our "government" up close, immediate, and personal. Thanks for the update - those days are now long gone if you cannot even approach the Capitol building today.
My octogenarian Mom would have gone if she thought her feet would allow her to walk that far. When a police officer tells you you can enter a building or go through a red light, you are supposed to be able to trust that it is lawful to obey. Yes, if there is a lot of hype around an action, you should be wary of provocateurs and false propaganda about the event and choose accordingly, but to *blame* people for staying within police instructions while protesting for an election audit is wrong.
Also, people who didn't even go into the building were questioned by Feds due to surveillance of their locations. DC no longer has parking spots for people who can't or won't pay with a "smart" parking meter, so that is another method of surveillance. None of these infringements on privacy and rights of expression are tolerable. Will we the people just let it go like we did Snowden's disclosures about mass surveillance of all of our communications, the transformation of all airports into surveillance checkpoints and monitoring of financial transactions, energy use and movement? Or will we demand the bill of rights be honored even in the electronics age? And btw, doesn't all of this data mining and data banking on every person have too great of a carbon footprint when we are told we have to be terrified by "climate change"? Not to mention the carbon footprint of all these wars including risking nuclear escalation not seeming to worry Biden and the Dem elites who wring their hands about catastrophic irreversible anthropomorphic climate change... It is almost like they don't really believe in climate change...
J6. These people are stupid. It was a total set up as far as the eye can see. They left a big dirty trail in their wake. DC mayor (married to Donna Brazil?) turned down 10,000 National Guard troops ready and waiting? Advance notice from FBI office in Northern Virginia. Open the gates and let the crowd marched to the US capital building. fire projectiles and incendiary devices, etc. into the crowd? Open the doors and welcome people in. Let them stroll around and have a good time.
Who is Ray Epps? How many 10+ phone calls/comms with Nancy Pelosi's office in the weeks+ lead up to the Fedsurrection. Federal agents in the crowd, with Ukrainian Nazis from Connecticut? other 5th columnists from George Soros collection? Pipe bomb across town. Who is this guy? Nobody knows?
Selection of the J6 committee members? Loss tapes, hidden information, witness tampering. It goes on and on. Define 'Plant'. How do you insert a plant? Can emotions be used to insert a plant? Who is Cassidy Hutchinson?
Saddest part is the J6 Patriot prisoners held for far too long in nearly inhumane conditions without proper due process. I believe that they will be made whole in some ways, at least financially and criminally. But one can never remedy their lost time from family, loved ones ,and friends. God rest the souls that lost their lives as part of the process.
Welcome to the Second American Revolution (and GlobalRev 1.0). Charges for sedition, subversion, corruption, and Treason can’t come fast enough. Then, crimes against humanity would do the trick (unite humanity, beyond ideology and party lines? Unite the world?)
The unilateral willingness of some state AG's to use this alleged "insurrection" to deny Trump a place on the ballot is even more reprehensible. How corrupt was that?
Yes, Nancy Pelosi and her hand-picked kangaroo court Jan 6 Committee did that too. Whenever a Democrat threatens Trump will destroy "democracy" fling that POS Jan 6 Committee back into their snotty faces
As a taxpayer, I was funding the corrupt actors denying our freedom, ruining our reputations and draining our retirement savings. The goal was to leave us broken and powerless and according to Judge Beryl Howell, keep us from “participating in as many election cycles as possible”. The bad guys landed some punches but I promise I am stronger than I have ever been: https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkxnh2f6IxmhXInzxj4jG6j7l7V17CoM86L?si=4fyr6VXuE_HMbx0K
And we the taxpayers are still force to fund this entire Democrat charade. Gawd, elections have consequences, but only if Democrats win. Otherwise, elections have deep state obstructions. This is wrong and this is unacceptable. Fight, fight, fight.
Thank you for writing. The arrests of people participating in the January 6 "protests" is a violation of the first amendment. The following excuse called hearings by democrats was shameful and needs to be re examined. Furthermore, the interruption of the senate hearings were "interfered" with by the commotion outside the chambers. The senate hearings were to listen to the electoral vote count. At this time is when a Senator could bring an objection about the electoral count, which could stop the election or at least slow it down by an investigation of how the votes were cast. There were some questions about how some states cast their votes (remember Covid 19 & mail in ballots). Because of the haste in voting caused by the commotion the questioning of the electoral votes was not allowed to happen. Had there been an orderly examination of the votes, the president might not have been Biden. We will never know.
Nancy Pelosi needed a "national emergency" to cram down a same day vote to award Biden the Presidency, and immediately halt the legal states review of their own certification processes.
Whatever Nancy Pelosi wanted that day, Nancy got. She wanted NO further review of the 2020 election process. So many loose ends still unresolved about that day from the initial "pipe bomb" call in, to the planted visual props left untouched by the Capitol Police.
Yes, Nancy Pelosi should be the subject of congressional investigation related to her errors and omissions before, during and after J6. Further, both her and husband Paul should be under SEC investigation for insider trading.
“Where do I go to get my reputation back?” -Ray Donovan 1987
What I have been put through for having the decency to answer my President’s call to show up and “peacefully and patriotically” assemble at a permitted event in support of election integrity is unfathomable. Even my fellow Republicans referred to me as a rioter and an insurrectionist, including an SB GOP endorsed candidate for Supervisor who said I belonged in prison.
I’ve been subjected to body searches, drug tests, house arrest and separated from my husband who is undergoing the same cruel humiliations as we serve our 90 day house arrest for a single count of “entering and remaining in a restricted area”. Since when is the Capitol off limits to the public?
We had our rights stripped, we denied due process, harassed with anonymous hate mail and abandoned by all but our closest friends and family.
The most disturbing thing about the COVID lockdown was realizing America had become a nation of cowards, subjugating our sovereignty to the all powerful State. I’m glad my parents didn’t live to see what became of this country. All that is left for me to do at this point is laugh: https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxR_QPa3Z79vVwhNkxbGSxDzo-XA9mD2th?si=GsxJz274YhTqcHkf
Hey Karen, like I commented to Joan, if you don't know most of the Capitol is off limits to the public I don't blame you. I thought the same until I worked there. Even as a paid employee of a Congressman I couldn't set foot on the Capitol steps, let alone most areas of the interior. And honestly, I have no sympathy for you and your husband.
Done, Thanks…don’t post much on X these days, been kicked out more than 20 times these past Trump years… still shadow banned, ghost banned, reply banned, etc. But still a great source of current events.
Hi Karen, not short on facts, but I am big follower of all things political, local mostly. I think you, your husband and thousands of others made a mistake and should be held accountable, that's all.
I have been to the Capitol at least 4 times. The Rotunda and Statuary Hall have always been open to the public. When I went in the late 1990s as a class chaperone it was extremely open. After 911 things got progressively more secure all over DC with each visit but the Rotunda and Statuary Hall were still open to the public when I last visited in 2017. On my 2017 trip I was with a large donor and was escorted by a congressman, Steve Womack, into many of the private areas. I would never enter an area that was not a public space unless as a part of a guided tour. The side walk and steps have also always been a public space every time I had visited. Like many others, I was permitted and actually encouraged by friendly police at the door to enter. We were on the East side in a very calm, polite group of people who walked peacefully and patriotically to the Capitol expecting to attend an event were RSVP’s to. You weren’t there. People who know me know I would never participate in a riot or force my way past a policeman. You obviously have not been following this story closely. There is so much evidence of this being an entrapment but you will never see it on any media brought to you by Pfizer.
Obstruction is one thing, but this statute requires "corrupt obstruction".
Wonder how they defined the term "corrupt" which implies both intent and a reprehensible degree of obstruction. Obstruction that shocks the conscience?
Or did choose to apply the tried and true thought-crime definition -we know what you were thinking so we decide what you were thinking. Seems like this thought-crime standard was recently applied to charges against Trump on multiple occasions.
Such is the Alice in Wonderland rabbit hole that current officers of the court have dropped us into. Obstruction vs corrupt obstruction. Where is the bright line.
“Congress never thought of it” supports Justices Robert’s opinion, since the courts are to interpret but not make law.
Justice Breyer wrote a book ~14 years ago entitled "Making Our Democracy Work" I read it and at the time I thought he should be fired because he advocated creating law, a clear over-reach of his authority. Really, don't these people have a conscience?
I don't think we'll ever know about the extent of fraudulent votes. What was more significant, IMO, was the torrent of lies about Trump in the run up to the election. There are many in positions of influence that have no problem with being dishonest (reference: Andy Caldwell's recent piece here a few days ago citing a Scott Rasmussen poll). In their minds and soul, the end justifies the means.
Trump will have to be careful about everything he does because of the resistance he will encounter. Maybe not all of the J6ers will be pardoned. Isn't there also commuting a sentence? That might be less fodder for leftist outcry.
There are (1) fraudulent votes; and there are (2) corrupt election practices. Important not to confuse the two, since each has different causes and remedies.
"Covid" prevented judges from going to work, in order to lawfully process these now unconstitutionally languishing DC Gulag prisoners? Add that to the list of extraordinary "covid" advantages, all construing only to Democrats during election year 2020.
You can stop your search. Justice has been served. You’re right the charge of obstruction of justice was wrong, the charge should have been insurrection against the United States. It’s an insult to every citizen in this country to call the scum who participated in the January 6th attack patriots or hostages, saying they’re languishing in gulags, saying they were peaceful tourist. What a crock.
trump could have pardoned all those nominees for the Benedict Arnold award, but he decided to make a political move instead. In his head, he thought by pardoning insurrectionists some of the voters would turn against him.
This is from an article in political.com . “One of trumps top advisers said that trump saw announcing his presidency right away as a way to frame any future prosecutions against him as politically motivated. trump also thought that blasting the 2020 election as “rigged”, a claim made without evidence, would energize his base over the next four years, the person said. He wanted to carry the sense of grievance into the election cycle. Then he said I’m running again.
Hey, how about all that nepotism? isn’t it great all trumps friends and family will be employed or get to be ambassadors. Let’s see what he picks for his wife and son. even his daughters father-in-law was pardoned during trumps first term after he had served time in prison, and he even gets to be an ambassador to France now, what a cushy job for a criminal, but then what can you expect? We have a convicted felon as a president elect, which he seems quite proud of.
Also maga’s, quit clutching your pearls over Hunter’s pardon. Call Biden a liar all you want. I believe that was his true intent, to not pardon him, but the magas couldn’t keep quiet about revenge and retribution. I feel like trump pressured him into doing it. Are you aware that trump pardoned over 230 people mostly his crooked cronies at the end of his term?
Thank you, Brent. An important piece. This “insurrection” is going to go down as one of the greatest disgraces of American history. Thank you for believing I wasn’t a criminal. I look forward to meeting in person.

We should have picked up a lot more seats in 2022. It was a red wave; just not reported that way by the government employees who determine who win.

100% true. I’ve been defamed in publications big and small. The Daily Mail still is referring to me as a “rioter” even though I was never charged with any violent or destructive behavior: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14050439/trump-january-6-capital-riot-pardon-election.html?ito=native_share_article-nativemenubutton
Media also keeps referring to Trump as a rapist. Fake news indeed is the enemy of the people. Good to get your personal and direct insights, Granny.

There is so much more to the story than even fair minded people know.
You are right: a total setup. Let Julie Kelley unwind it all in a book and then some fearless director/producer put it into a movie

I know what happened. It was a deliberate and successful attempt to keep an outsider from another term as POTUS.

WOW, you’re in deep …..
Unfortunately there are still a lot of people like Dan who are short on facts and big on retaining power over others.
Yep, but not for long… there will come a time when none of them will be able to walk the streets…

Thanks for those links. You can follow me on X. I opened an account after the election. I am Karen Jones @grannysnakebite

That answer took you three days? How do you feel about Hunter’s pardon?
It's national, so I couldn't care less.
What does this pink box mean?
Deep what?
Dan, if you got cancer I would be rooting for the tumor.
Jeff, your profile photo is of a black cat. I've had two and I revere blackies. What's your problem with me expressing my opinion?
You can tell who is up to date…no sense of humor.
…what an awful thing to say to anyone. Please seek help.
Are you up to date on your covid vaccines?
Oh it's gonna be FUN come Jan 20th!!!! round up these pos's and deal out some REAL justice!
