Will May 9, 2025, be the new Jan 6? Which of course was the designation given to events of January 6, 2021.
Jan6
The events that made Jan6 memorable involved a federal building, the U.S. Capitol. While the Capitol is typically open, as it was when a captain of the Capitol Police gave us a personalized tour and made me an honorary member.
However, on January 6, 2021, a group of protestors became so large that they overwhelmed the capitol and were ordered to leave the building.
This began years of the protestors being arrested and jailed for variety of charges. The FBI stated that at least 600 were incarcerated for the misdemeanors of trespass and/or failure to leave a federal building when ordered.
May 9
The events of May 9, 2025, involved a federal building, Delaney Hall, in Newark, New Jersey.
The best description of Newark may be when I argued that the real estate taxes for a service station should be lowered based on my client having a contract to sell it for one dollar. After a politician “took me aside,” the taxes on the land remained constant in order to prevent the taxes being reduced for the entire neighborhood based on comparable values, but the value of the station was reduced to zero. Ironically, later the buyer refused to pay a dollar for the service station.
Delaney Hall, unlike the U.S. Capitol, is never open to the public as it is a facility of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
President Trump’s Border Czar and former Acting ICE Director Tom Homan says Delaney Hall “houses drug traffickers, pedophiles, gang members, and the worst of the worst,” and “We have to detain them to go through the due process–sometimes seeing a judge, sometimes they already have final orders. This is what this facility means.”
On May 9, 2025, the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey, Ras Baraka (D), Congresswoman Bonnie Watson Coleman (D, NJ), Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D, NJ) and Congressman Robert Menendez (D, NJ) led a group attempting to enter the ICE facility at Delaney Hall.
When the group was informed by the guards that Delaney Hall was not open to the public and that the group should leave, videos show they refused to leave and began trying to force their way in by pushing and shoving ICE personnel to gain entry.
Videos also show Representative McIver, whose red jacket made it easy to identify, screaming “I touch whoever I want motherf…er” as she shoved and slammed a much smaller female ICE officer.
Mayor Baraka was arrested and charged with trespass.
U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba said her department was reviewing the situation to decide if other charges should be brought.
May 14, 2025
On May 14, before attending a session of the House, Representative Coleman claimed that McIver “didn’t touch them” before conceding “She may have, like, pushed away to get them off of her, but she didn’t body slam anybody.”
Later, in a House of Representatives hearing on Wednesday, Coleman demonstrated her attitude when she could barely even read her prepared speech as she repeatedly hurled race-obsessed smears against the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. at a congressional session unrelated to the events at Delaney Hall.
Coleman said the Trump administration was “attempting to legitimize racial discrimination,” and accused Kennedy of pushing “the lie that Trump cares about me and black people.”
She continued “unamericaning (sic) in an unamerican society with a unitarian government that abuses power on all levels and treats Congress members as if we are the enemy. You know who the enemy is? The enemy is the enemy of the people, and that’s the white supremacist that you’re talking about.”

Alina Habba said “My office is undertaking a thorough investigation in cooperation with our Federal Agency partners of what transpired on Friday at Delaney Hall. The Mayor of Newark, Ras Baraka, committed trespass and ignored multiple warnings from Homeland Security to remove himself from the ICE detention center. He has willingly chosen to disregard the law.”
Subsequently, during a hearing U.S. Magistrate Andre M. Espinosa warned Habba against making public statements about an ongoing investigation.
DHS Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said “Body slamming, body-ramming, striking an officer, pushing, shoving, whatever you want to call it, sure looks like assault. DHS won’t stand for this.” ICE officers are now facing a 413% increase in assaults and stated that potential charges included violations of:
•18 US Code 2381 that provides “Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason...”
•19 US Code 2384 that provides “If two or more persons... oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States... shall be fined... or imprisoned for not more than twenty years, or both.”
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D, NY) threatened retaliation against the DHS agents if they arrest the Democratic lawmaker for storming the Newark ICE facility and assaulting an agent.
May 17
The DOJ did not charge anyone with violations of either 18 or 19 US Code.
However, Alina Habba, did charge Representative McIver with violating U.S. Code 111 (a)(1) for “assaulting, impeding, and interfering with law enforcement.”
McIver's attorney will have a difficult time overcoming the video showing McIver's words indicating her assault was pre-meditated. Coleman's words will not only destroy her effectiveness as a defense witness but also may support the DOJ's establishing premeditation.
The DOJ announced that it was dropping the trespass charges against Mayor Baraka. However, Magistrate Espinosa castigated the DOJ for making the “severe” charge of trespass before, unlike the 600+ Jan6ers who were sentenced to prison for trespassing in a normally open federal building.
May 9 should be remembered for the words of U.S. Attorney Alina Habba: “No one is above the law–not even politicians.”
Take a look at COLAB’s latest video, “The Great Fee Heist”
It should be obvious to all that the liberal agenda and its Democratic Party handlers are in lock step with chaos, mayhem and thuggery. Yes, the underlying philosophy being of “flooding the zone” with outrageous political stunts, sit-ins, demonstrations, walk outs, intimidation and violent protests. Just look at recently in Seattle, whereby Christians were mocked, chased and beaten for expressing their faith.
It’s truly become a clown show with the liberal left, something right out of an episode of “South Park,” and a constant race to the bottom.
Sadly, the left has a vested interest and is cheerleading for the failure of our President, Country and society in order to create a narrative for the news cycle. Right out of central casting of the communist manifesto. That’s right, tear down a society in order to rebuild their twisted vision of a just society.
Well, at least none of the Dems was wearing a horned headdress or pooped in the ICE facility during the storming.
