Just beautiful. I especially like your observation that churches do not like to discuss abortion considering it too political. I have not attended church in over a year for the reason that the pastor would not discuss abortion or the sexualization of children, encouragement of transgenderism, pronoun fantasy, gender affirming care, men in women's sports, bathrooms and locker rooms. It seems that there is more concern about losing some Democrat parishioners and their contributions than addressing these issues which are contrary to Christian mores and a threat to the moral foundation of western society.

And we do need to exert our God centered opinions into our community and its political/economic/social structures. Reminding us that evil is in our very own backyard. We have hope through an organization called Network Medical which saves babies and does not kill them. They have saved hundreds of babies and helped mothers with unplanned pregnancies and difficult choices.Tbey do not abort babies.
In a time where politicians allow abortion through the 9th month and famous trials idolize murdering children is acceptable,we need to remember God's word and stay true to the Bible. If we are outcasts and then ostracized remember Jesus was also for his faith.
In anything you do, do not follow the sheep and their agenda,including how we vote.

Have faith. At my church I see it growing not shrinking. They discuss the difficult issues,including abortion,and other topics.

Your Mom was a wise woman; you ARE a wise woman now. I was once a young lost girl at 18, facing immense challenges and choices. Had there been a viable, publicized counterpoint to PP... many young women would have made a different choice I think. I can only hope viable options are more evident for today's young women. So ordinary on the outside on such a well known street in town. Yet no drive past this block now can ever be the same. A death factory right in our own town. I remember growing up in the "who knows what's really true?" Or as we called it the "Question Authority" age (1970's & 1980's).
I think the authority we learned to question was man's, of course, not God's.
I'm not even Christian (Jewish) but I send my daughter to Christian schools. I am often taken aback by their refusal to confront abortion. I ask my wife, who is Christian, how can the school not confront this and draw the line? It's like if we went to a Jewish school that allowed worship of multiple gods or something...it should be a hard NO!
In any case, I remember you (we met once back in 1980's) Thank you for speaking out. It's difficult to believe in something, pick up the Cross, and walk the walk.
