Thank you, Calla. Fun piece to wake up to. Bad words are not what they used to be. There are words now considered obscene by the Left that used to just be words.

Yesterday I was talking by phone to a friend about Santa Barbara. He went to SBCC in the late 60s, studied art with Ken Nack and has been a successful, self-supporting artist ever since then. He's never had to take any other work and he credits Nack with that. He asked about Santa Barbara and I told him about the e-bikes and our government wanting us to go electric because they can virtuously spend millions of our tax money ruining SB as they always do. A few hours later he messaged me a photo of a diner in the middle of a dusty nowhere with the sign “Diesel Fried Chicken.” I immediately sent it to all my friends - I've never gotten such immediate happy responses. “I want to go there immediately” wrote a friend. “I'm framing a photo of it for my kitchen” emailed another. “I bet they'd like to diesel-fry Kamala at that place” said a third.

“Diesel” is now a swear word to the Left, the reason that we have Climate Change and Donald Trump. For the rest of us it's *like* saying “F you” to the Green scamming politicians, to the woke, to Mayorkas and Blinken for ignoring the pleas of NC because the lithium mines there are more important than the Deplorables who live there.

It's time somebody started a Diesel Fried Chicken stand in Santa Barbara,

Love the article. Totally agree that Senator Kennedy is the most fun person to listen to in all politics. I didn’t realize what an accomplished scholar he was either. I just thought that he was sharp tongued colloquial, old grandfather type. he never fails for top notch, entertainment value.

Isn't it delightful that when you read a quote from Senator John Kennedy you can HEAR him in your mind?

And see that crazy goofball.

I do appreciate Sen. Kennedy for his wit and astute juris prudence. I often watch him on YouTube where he can be found grilling various Biden appointees. He certainly can sniff out a phony or a candidate which is ill prepared or dishonest.

As for his rhetoric, it can be entertaining at times I suppose, but I can’t help but notice the reaction of the talking heads which are interviewing him, often rolling their eyes. Bottom line is he’s a great litigator but sometimes comes off a bit goofy!

Three news stories which are developing overnight:

The great James O’Keefe has the goods on MSNBC having one of their producers on tape admitting what we already know, which is MSNBC is nothing more than a bias, dishonest sham masquerading as a news network. All along tipping the scales in favor of Harris and the Dems…what a surprise! The MSN Producer had no idea he was being filmed by one of O’Keefe’s operatives posing as a honey pot. One comment I heard by a pundit is if Trump is victorious, he should pull the FCC license for MSNBC. That would certainly get their attention and put an end to the dishonest news coverage.

Next, the story of wannabe “First Dude” Doug Emhoff is gaining traction with multiple outlets covering the story first broke by the Daily Mail. It would seem “Dougee” was witnessed by at least 3 people punching/slapping a former girlfriend at a film festival in Cannes. What a guy! Especially since he has been interviewed several times saying “how much he respects and supports women!” I hope Republicans remember how Kamala savaged Brett Kavanaugh during his salacious SCOTUS confirmation hearings! Time for some payback!

Lastly, as reported “knucklehead” Tim Walz is due anytime now to land in SB. I suppose he’s picking up a carpetbag full of money from lefty donors in Montecito?

Earl Brown's avatar

Tampon Tim is such a 'knucklehead' he'll probably stand on a State St. corner with a tin cup to prove he's just a "small-town" kinda guy.

I have to agree with you, LT, about Sen. Kennedy. While I found him unique and fun to listen to when I first came upon him, I later got a tad frustrated waiting for him to finally get to his point but if that's the worst one can say about a politician, it's high praise these days.

Senator Kennedy brings together a brilliant mind, great sense of humor, bluntness, and fearlessness, all in a charming southern drawl. Any recorded Senate committee questioning by him is almost guaranteed to be insightful and entertaining. We need more like him on the Republican side.

Is “testosterone” the ultimate swear word for Woke lefties?

Earl Brown's avatar

No, there are a couple of other 4 letter words they don't like: "Work" . . . 'Soap" . . .

Monica Bond's avatar

Thank you Calla for the fun Saturday morning read!

Earl Brown's avatar

The most disgusting cuss words I can think of - 'President Walz.'

Look - siht happens, and with all the crazies the Commie-Dems have fostered, this wierdo could wind up running, and f**ing up the country even worse than Harris, . . . if that's possible!

LT's avatar

I totally disagree, Walz can’t POSSIBLY screw the pooch as bad as Harris!

Earl Brown's avatar

Harris is stupid, Walz is _dangerous_!

like most all politicians, they’re both government gangsters working for the cabal of evildoers…

The Current has done it again: now publishing x-rated mockery of everything we hold dear in life.

PS. I, too, admire Senator Kennedy.

Polly Frost's avatar

So, Lou, what is your favorite new word to offend the Left? Sawbilly has “testosterone” and I have “diesel.”

Andy rosenberger's avatar

Nicely written! Don’t agree with some, but great wordsmithing.

Wow is the first reaction. The second, long over due.

. . "keeping pornography and prostitution afloat . ." So where's the problem?

LT's avatar

I have none, hey at least a Hooker will admit to what they do for a living….politicians won’t ever admit it!

Luther inspired JS Bach, the greatest composer of sacred music ever, so someone on this comment thread (not Earl or LT) should shut up and go listen to Christ Lag en Todesbanden, written by Luther, music by Johann Sebastian. As for monarchists, the only ones I listen to are the Rastafarians, who worship Emperor Selasse.

Have to agree with Polly, Marley and the Whalers…One Love, Ganja for all!

Earl Brown's avatar

Whew! I'm glad you excluded me - I wouldnt know how to shut up! :)
