Thank you, Stephen, excellent analysis and clear. No on Prop 2! But it's not just schools. It is absolutely outrageous how the build, build, build mandate is being used on every level in California and only benefits unions and developers and corrupt politicians.

We have to stop this “progressive” bullying. Take a look at The Independent https://www.independent.com/2024/08/27/more-housing-is-practical-not-problematic/. This opinion piece sums up the destruction of our state - and of Santa Barbara - by Democrats browbeating citizens with bogus horrors if 15-minute cities aren't built now!

What really galls me is the owner of The Independent, Marianne Partridge, lives on her vast ranch while morally lecturing the rest of us about how we need to start packing in high rises, enlarge our freeways and allow our beloved single family neighborhoods to be turned into ugly jungles of shabbily built constructed pack-'em-in apartments. Okay, Marianne, you first: take 10,000 of your acres and make a 15-minute city.

And of course we need to build more schools! And indoctrinate more children into the joys of living like placid trans insects!

How anyone can vote Democrat ever again in this state is beyond me. Everyone with TDS who harangues voters against putting the evil Trump in the White House, is so far gone mentally that it isn't possible to reason with them. I just sit back and try to remind myself how important freedom of speech is to Democracy - the real kind of democracy, not the bs kind the Dems blathered on about at the convention. But you Democrats who still can think: you owe it to future generations to vote out the elite members of the Democrat Rubber Room.

My wife and I are supporting a 17-year-old exchange student who had to leave his family to avoid being forced to enlist in an unjust military at 18. It’s a country that’s unfortunately being destroyed by a violent, murderous militia government inflicting religious and personal persecution.

This school year, his Midwestern US private tuition includes dormitory housing, 3 healthy meals a day, full-time 10th grade courses specializing in pre-engineering, field trip transportation, emotional counseling, spiritual and social activities, books/supplies, and healthcare copays. He's also provided with part-time on-campus employment for personal spending money.

There are no student cell phones on campus.

The total cost? $11,000 per year.

Clearly, California has failed its children and the taxpayers
