As the supposedly former congressman Eric Swalwell‘s political career imploded amid a string of sexual assault and misconduct allegations, he had recorded a denial video at a Beverly Hills mansion belonging to idiosyncratic, just-shy-of-billionaire-status Stephen Cloobeck. Swalwell used the $26 million estate as a backdrop for his mythical tale of woe-is-me virtue signaling.
He had stayed numerous times in Cloobeck’s expansive quarters unchaperoned during his run for California governor, which made its debut on the late-night Jimmy Kimmel Show. “A lot has been said about me today through anonymous allegations, and I thought it was important that you see and hear from me directly,” Swalwell said, staring into the camera. “These allegations of sexual assault are flat false. They’re absolutely false.” On April 13th, less than 50 hours from the release of his video, he announced that at some time in the future (this is strange in and of itself) he would resign his seat in Congress.
The odd-duck character, however, in this melodrama is the financial angel behind Swalwell’s rise to the top (at an anaemic 15%) of the jungle California gubernatorial heap in the latest polls. Who is Stephen Cloobeck? Well, he is an offbeat, shadowy investor in the not-so-glamorous timeshare real estate business. Cloobeck refers to Harry Reid, the longtime Democrat Senate majority leader from Nevada who died in 2021, as his “adopted dad.” His career in Las Vegas real estate led to the creation of the global timeshare company Diamond Resorts International, which Leon Black‘s Apollo Global Management purchased for $2.2 billion in 2016.
Cloobeck had launched his campaign for California governor from his home on election night in 2024 with Zac Efron and Casey Affleck in the camera shot. Throughout his career, the wannabe insider was prolific in touting his partisan bona fides. Barack Obama was a “frequent” golf partner (so says the not-quite-billionaire) and the former president eagerly included Cloobeck in his cocktail parties and soirees. Also on Stephen’s speed dial are Democrat heavy hitters that include Bill and Hillary Clinton, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Pete Buttigieg, Cory Booker and we can’t leave out former Cuban Communist Alejandro Mayorkas.
A year after Cloobeck triumphantly entered the coveted California stakes race, he backed out and simultaneously threw his check book behind Eric Swalwell. Five months later, he’s throwing his arms in the air about the sudden politically provoked s**t show, saying in effect, “Who would ‘a thunk”? “If this was such a big known secret in political circles”, then how many others are there on the Hill”? Translated: “How the hell didn’t I know this”?
Living Large With the Low Life Crowd
But this 64-year-old cat is himself no stranger to the rumor mill, or to bad living, if you will. Apparently, he enjoys life in the vicinity of wrongdoing. While Swalwell was conducting sexual seminars away from his wife and children, Cloobeck experienced his latest tabloid bimbo eruption when his 28-year-old fiancée, an Israeli OnlyFans model and former Penthouse Pet named Adva Lavie, was arraigned on six charges after being accused of committing burglary at the homes of wealthy older men and younger women whom she met through dating apps.
Lavie had previously been married to a porn star known as Big Nick (it’s hard to make this s**t up), who himself was convicted of vehicular manslaughter in 2023 after crashing his Honda (not a big spender) into a motorcyclist. According to prosecutors’ depiction of the honey trap, Lavie, also known as Mia Ventura, posed as a romantic partner or travel companion before stealing cash, gold, and high-end designer goods.
While our former gubernatorial candidate (Cloobeck) trolls for respect among the Democrat dynastic mighty, in real life, he plays Boy-Toy with trailer trash lowlifes. The Penthouse Pet is currently out on bail with an ankle monitor and has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Cloobeck said, “I wanted to hear (Swalwell’s) side because I wanted to make sure his mental health was okay, because I’m a humanitarian. And I got to the point where I found he lacked integrity.” (The old tycoon is cavorting with larcenous bimbos, and he demands “integrity” from those he lets use his mansion as a crash pad?)
Cloobeck said Swalwell began apologizing to him two days after the allegations surfaced. He went on to say that once he had a fuller picture of the alleged misconduct, he told Swalwell “to get the f**k out of here.” That’s when Cloobeck became creepy and denounced the Democrat Party as an out-of-control viper’s den of reprobates.
Leaving the Party
He now considers himself a “liberal libertarian Republican.” I don’t know if the Republican Big Tent is truly big enough for Stephen Cloobeck. I hope he doesn’t drag his entourage of loose ladies with him (although they’ve lived much of their lives in tents).
Unfortunately, we’re not finished with Cloobeck’s sleazy side. He’s full of apologies for Adva Lavie. “She was wronged”! In 2021, Cloobeck sued another OnlyFans bimbo - er, model - then 26-year-old Stefanie Gurzanski. The suit was for fraud, claiming he only learned about her online work after she left him about six months into their relationship (How can rich men be so stupid?).
Stefanie filed a countersuit, alleging abuse and asked for and received a restraining order against him. Both suits were settled out of court, but not before the “classy” Cloobeck announced to a tabloid that Gurzanski’s b**w jobs were substandard.”
Is there no moral bottom for Democrats running for office? Cloobeck says there’s no overlap or connection to his politics from his personal troubles. All that counts are his intentions and motivations. “I’m willing,” he says, “to fight the good fight and make sure people get social justice.”
Right.

The reality is that this is how these lowlife forms roll! Sure, hookers, drugs, good times all subsidized by suckers paying their taxes! Just wait, more accusations are about to drop, including campaign donations used for tropical junkets to Puerto Rico in which Gallego is said to have illegally paid for his wedding with campaign funds. Turns out Gallego is facing more sexual harassment allegations, the same guy who left is 9 month pregnant wife for some office bimbo many years younger.
As more fraud is being uncovered, be prepared for more social unrest, riots, vandalism and demonstrations. Again, this is how they roll when Dems get desperate and are called out for their vast and far reaching criminal enterprises!
Sounds like the makings of a super sleezy Hollywood B movie. I wish this stuff was “made up”, but losers aplenty are out there.! It’s up to us to not embolden these malcreants, take a very wide circuit around them and completely rid them from our political system.
