Enjoyable article of a boy recollecting love of country…Thank You…

Today, as American Patriots, let us remember, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

I have attached a link to the document signed by our brave founders today in 1776.

It is worth reading again. Our nation was founded by people of deep faith in their creator and aware of the hand of providence in its forming. The signers risked their lives and fortunes to put their name on a document telling the king of England that they rejected his authority. What is alarming is how ignorant most current citizens and residents of this country are about how and why it was founded. Read the Declaration to each other and then share it with a friend or grandchild. We need to understand and cling to our precious history and the values on which this nation was founded. The people in charge seem to have forgotten, and have a completely different vision and agenda.

Well said. I keep a copy of the Declaration and Constitution within arms reach. The ability of the drafters to have, and be able to capture on paper, such concepts, is nothing short of astonishing.

Our Founders were Freemasons, they rejected traditional and religious values and the very government they created prioritized "freedom", the individual, and relativism which again are in stark contrast to true Christian governance under a monarch who upholds morality and divinely held beliefs. Christians support the will of God, they reject the will of man which so often embraces sin and wickedness.

Democratic values have undermined traditional, conservative, and religious beliefs. The American founders by rejecting the authority of the rightful monarch of England further pushed themselves toward liberal and relativistic values. When you undermine authority you move towards liberal/leftist ideals centered around hedonism/individualism which erode the very values you claim to uphold as a conservative.

"Three years from now, the United States will celebrate the biggest and most important milestone in our country's history, 250 years of American independence. What a Great Country! And we have to keep it that way. But that's why, as a nation, we should be preparing for a most spectacular birthday party. We wanna make it the best of all time.

Here is my plan to give America's founding in 1776 the incredible anniversary it truly deserves.

On Day 1, I will convene a White House task force called "Salute to America 250". It will be responsible for coordinating with state and local governments to ensure not just 1 day of celebration, but an entire year of festivities across the nation starting on Memorial Day 2, 2025 and continuing through July 4th, 2026.

2nd, I will work with all 50 governors, Republican and Democrat alike, to create the Great American State Fair, a unique 1-year exhibition featuring pavilions from all 50 states. It'll be something. The Great American State Fair will showcase the Glory of Every State in the Union, promote pride in Our History, and put forth innovative visions for America's future.

My hope is that the amazing people of Iowa will work with my administration to open up the legendary Iowa State Fairgrounds to host the Great American State Fair and welcome millions and millions of visitors from around The World to the heartland of America for this special one-time festival. Together, we will build it and they will come.

3rd, alongside the Great American State Fair, we will host major sporting contests for high school athletes. These are great athletes, wonderful athletes from fantastic high schools all around the country. These "Patriot Games" will allow young Americans from every state to show off the best of American skills, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit.

4th, I will sign an executive order to bring back our National Garden of American Heros, which we wanna build very badly, commission artists for the first 100 statues to populate this new statuary park honoring the greatest Americans of all time.

5th, as President, I will invite the leaders and citizens of nations around the world to visit the United States in Honor of our 250th anniversary. It's gonna be great. America's tourist industry should get ready because we're gonna have a lot of people coming. It will be a record year.

And, finally, and most importantly, I will ask America's great religious communities to pray for Our Nation and Our People as we prepare for this momentous occasion. From the very beginning, America has been a country sustained and strengthened by prayer and by our communities of faith. As we chart a course toward the next 250 years, let us come together and rededicate ourselves as One Nation under God."

Man was indeed meant to be free, from sin. Freedom today means to be free or moral constraints, to do as one pleases without regard for their own wellbeing or the welfare of their communities. Freedom today include being "free" to slaughter the unborn, to engage in calumny and blasphemy, to promote secular values (in democratic and pluralistic socieites) that oppose the very thing conservatives fight against routinely. The rise of secularism in democratic and protestant nations in particular, stemming from liberal movements like the enlightenment have done nothing but destroy this country conservatives claim to uphold.

Great article Robert. I’ve often wondered how our founding fathers put this gig (America) together. Here they are, a bunch of men looking at this huge land mass, diversified people all over the place, no rules, no laws, no representatives of these groups. States? What are those? Where to start? What a mess! But they got it done, and slowly but surely this miracle came together . . . thank God!

I’ve been all over the world - in the military, in business, my wife worked for the airlines so we could fly anywhere practically free etc., and the more I saw of it the more I appreciated this great land. Most of us just don’t realize how lucky we are.. . but I do!

In spite of the fact the Democrats are afraid the voters will interfere in the election, our leader is a weird old fool, and we’re about a step away from DEFCON1, it’s still _the_ greatest country in the world and I love it! I’m grading on the curve here folks - it ain’t perfect but it’s my beautiful home !

I read this good article by Eringer titled "Patriotism and Belonging"

which I happen, as any American, would agree. I quote from same....

"Sure, conflict exists, but with democracy comes adversity, and the adversity we witness (openly, for we welcome freedom of expression) is tempered by a system of checks and balances, advise and consent, to ensure that our high-powered locomotive, always in motion, does not go off the rails."

The problem is Mr. Eringer that system of checks and balances have failed not only in Washington

but rigth here in Santa Barbara. Since you were involved serving our country with the US

Intelligence then you know of what I speak and propably know what is going down here in SB.

When the So-Called-Leaders here in SB target vulnerable Citizens in SB than we all have very

serious problems. July 4, ........... is all about Service, those that served in the past, now and in the future.

The So-Called-Leaders in SB have utterally failed to serve the entire Santa Barbara Community.

Loved this piece/peace! Thank for articulating a feeling I’ve had but couldn’t have said it better. It’s so refreshing to hear a fundamentally positive perspective on who we are and what we have as Americans. Can more of us see this regardless of our political vantage point?

Our national ideas are futures in the process--not the progressive elimination of our institutions and traditions with lack of civilized debate and discourse. PC talks needs to be freely chosen Respectful Communication--with lots of freedom to say what we think in ways others can hear it--without propaganda, hatred, revenge--mostly the left-leaning agenda. Mean spirit is the leftist mantra not "Hopeful courses of action we ALL want for our children and citizenry" in a decent future --learning from history not loathing it and ourselves. Happy 4th!
