Dan, just a fact about your question. CA does not report immigration status with crimes or accidents. So it’s difficult to find that data for anything. It’s the same problem with saying undocumented commit less crimes, cool statistic when you aren’t taking immigration status. You are going to be able to say that about a lot due to Sanctuary law.
That said, my wife’s car was hit in a parking lot last year by an undocumented person without AB60 license or insurance. They refused to give any information or stay at the scene. My wife is Hispanic, they said they were sorry to her and explained in Spanish. I get that’s anecdotal, but it’s a known fact here that there are many illegal drivers without license or insurance. There were 1.2M total issued AB60 licenses. We know the adult number of undocumented is much higher than that. And proof of insurance is not a requirement for AB60 licenses.
