Thank you, Brian. Excellent work. While Mr. Carbajal may have admirably done military duty, he has done nothing but *provable* harm to Santa Barbara. He's a *provable* careerist who sucks up to the Dem Party leaders. He a *provable* misquoter of our president. He needs to be recalled along with a lot of our other carpetbagging government.

I know several people who have immigrated to this country and those that became citizens have a piece of paper showing they were naturalized with dates and all. Those that have not wanted to become citizens have a green card. I do not understand the reluctance of Mr. Carbajal showing a copy of his Naturalization papers. Sounds pretty easy to me. Short and sweet.

Louder for the people in congress. And the people in Santa Barbara. But they'll never hear this because they have their eyes and ears shut tight when they disagree!

In reading this article by Mr. Campbell, it would appear two things can be true; BOTH Salud Carbajal AND Jerry Roberts are LIARS! I about fell out of my chair to read Jerry Roberts is an “Prize Winning Journalist.” My question is; which reputable news organization would award a partisan hack and fraud like Roberts? Pinocchio award? National Lampoon? Pulitzer? BTW, did he or any other local “media” receive so much as a dime from USAID?

As for Rep. Carbajal, how did he finance his education at UCSB, did he receive a Pell Grant? How did he answer on his application regarding immigration status? Does he have a Security Clearance, again, how did he answer on his application? These are important questions that we as voters have a right to, and with FULL transparency.

Brian- This is an outstanding essay clearly based on facts and statements from Mr. Carbajal. Santa Barbara County taxpayers deserve to hear his answers. Unfortunately, I do not expect that we will. One thing that Mr. Carbajal is good at is hiding under his desk.

Thank you everyone. Illegal labor has troubled me for decades. The argument from Democrats that we need illegals to do the demeaning laborious jobs that Citizens will not do for less than what we would pay a Citizen. Indentured servants, slaves. Then you realize the Democratic Party originated from plantation owners who needed cheap labor. And the Democratic Party voted against every civil rights act.

It’s truly sad that they have pulled the wool over so many people’s eyes by paying them off, using tax payer money to buy the people. Like a dysfunctional family buying love, not earning love and respect.

There's a significant amount of deception at best. The one deception in Salud's story that particularly irritates me, is the "Military Service." To be clear, I'm not disparaging reservists...they carried a significant burden during the OIF/OEF years and serve a vital function in our DoD readiness/preparedness. However, Salud is constantly saying "8 year Marine veteran with Gulf War mobilization." Saying that to Vietnam or OIF/OEF veterans has a connotation that they understand "you actually mobilized in theater." Then actual veterans know you've led troops, you've organized logistics, worked at the 3 levels of planning, significantly sacrificed your personal and family's life up to and including writing a blank check for your life, etc. Salud did his two weeks per year during the Gulf War in North Carolina...probably catching up on his required training - not actually mobilized!

If you joined the reserves for college money and/or citizenship, just state that. No issues with that at all to me. Again, reservists serve a vital function. And many that were actually mobilized have that shared experience of active duty. One of my best friends enlisted on active duty for citizenship, he's a senior officer pilot squadron commander now with 27 years and multiple wartime deployments. He's a GREAT American!

I joined the Navy at 18 years old because I wanted something better than my lower class life in the Philadelphia area. I immediately found my calling in serving our country. I stayed for another 26 years. Multiple wartime deployments over the years as I grew from a junior enlisted to a senior officer. Many years of my life and my family time sacrificed for the greater good. Salud and I are NOT the same...but his deceptive messaging to the layperson makes it seem that way.

Robert Bob Smith, yes I would agree that those who serve in the Military

for some time or for life are different than those who jump in/out get

benys and later unfortunately may contradict their service.

Howard, in general yes. But, I don't want to make it seem like any of the service time is better or worse than the other. There are many people from 2001+ that served 4 years in Iraq or Afghanistan that blow away some 20 year careers in terms of hardship. My overall point is that Rep. Carbajal creatively crafts his service time statements for political capital. Its deceptive. I applaud him for being a reservist...anyone who voluntarily goes to bootcamp gets a bonus point in my book. But the two week annual vacations on reserve duty in the US...is not the same as a Marine's life on active duty or actually mobilized for the past 2 decades or wartime eras before. Just say, "I joined the reserves for college money, did my standard reserve requirements, and felt good about my part in service to our country." Leave out the "mobilized during the Gulf War..." parts. Big difference...

Hello Robert "Bob" Smith. When reading your response, I thought it was one of my family members talking or one of our friends that served. "Multiple wartime deployments over the years as I grew from a junior enlisted to a senior officer. Many years of my life and my family time sacrificed for the greater good." For a career military person ... everything evolves around their Military service. A Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas because many times someone in your family cannot be there, they are overseas. Those whose entire families serve over multiple generations understand what you are saying. Unfortunately, many of those who go into Politics do not just bend the rules they flat-out-lie. As you say >>>

"Many years of my life and my family time sacrificed for the greater good. Salud and I are NOT the same...but his deceptive messaging to the layperson makes it seem that way."

Those are the people you want to avoid and especially those SLICK-Politicians who do get elected embellishing their backgrounds. In my family we have had many a talk about this and concerns over the years as our Military gets more out of touch with their primary directive. Another discussion not to mention "The Military Contractors"

What you want the truth? You quote a publication which has a rich and deep history of quotes they cannot defend.

What you have uncovered with just the bracero program ending is just one more problem the entire Democrat Party has in this County and State.

Think about it. How many of these defenders of Mr. Carbajal have also backed failure in local transportation planning (death valley state st.). Bike programs that continue to be a joke, and closing Old Town Hollister.

Going back to a broadcaster I liked..... Stay tuned for the REST OF THE STORY.

Thank you for the research, the many threads you followed, and the right questions that need to be asked as our nation is yet again facing this critical issue. We must end fraud at all levels in the name of sound governance. Exceptions should never become de facto rules. One is also reminded of Senator Elizabeth Warren's false Cherokee heritage claims and her own unchecked history of Native American grift.

This challenge is incumbent on all of us - how in fact do any of us trace the legality of our immigrant status roots. Vague stories about immigration multiple generations ago from pre-Revolutionary Scotland, to 19th Century Denmark and Germany are my own history. How would I too confirm them today?

Step one is to stop these massive and known border leaks right here and right now. Confirm constitutional guidance for assertions of current claims for immigration rights and statutes. Does issuance of a US passport end the need for anyone's individual confirmation trail. If so, why tell lies and intentionally confuse these issues for personal gain?

I also recommend everyone read the entire Emma Lazarus poem placed unwittingly on the Statue of Liberty which has exercised far more emotional clout over this topic than ever intended. The full poem celebrated a highly regulated immigration process primarily from Northern Europe only.

Stop anyone short if they claim our informal American immigration heritage demands we take in without question the "tired and poor" from around the world. They have some other agenda. They need to stop lying about their own ulterior motives.

It always boggles my mind when those in authority are so reluctant to tell the truth. Transparency is a rare gem these days. And to be honest, it's usually because they know the truth will reveal a hidden lie. And that lie could end the path they currently walk. One day they will know that the truth will set you free...Blessings

Journalism in search of truth..... how surprising it is to read all these facts, presented in such a lucid manner. AND to know this "conversation' has been going on for a month with the fraud in discussion, who cannot, will not, provide the documentation to clear up this very interesting question.

Reminds me of when I previously saw the fascinating research uncovered by the team assembled by Sheriff Joe Arpaio who were sent to Hawaii to investigate the birth certificate of Barry Soetoro.

We are in a time when to DOGE has become a verb, much as GOOGLING has. Time to lift every rock and see what is hidden beneath.

Many who have watched the career of Salud have commented on his lies, few so expertly as Mr Campbell. Time for accountability.

I read this very detailed and excellent Immigration Story titled "The Immigration Story of Congressman Salud Carbajal" by Brian Campbell My Hat is Off to you Mr. Compell.

I provide a new title "Major Immigration Fraud Case Involving the National Security of the

United State Concealed by the Santa Barbara Police Department, Santa Barbara District

Attorneys Office and the Santa Barbara Superior Court."

I quote from Brian Compbell's Definitive Article that focusses on Salud Carbajal as follows>

"What if elected officials who represent American citizens have personally benefited from breaking laws—then advocate for others who break the same laws?" AND "The law we are discussing is U.S. immigration law, the primary statute governing illegal entry is 8 U.S. Code § 1325 – Improper Entry by Alien. This law makes it a federal offense to;"

1.Enter or attempt to enter the U.S. at any time or place other than those designated by immigration officers (i.e., crossing the border illegally).

2.Evade examination or inspection by immigration officers.

3. Make false or misleading statements or representations to gain entry.

“Salud Carbajal, who immigrated illegally with his family at age five (first to Arizona and then) to Oxnard, where his father worked on a farm. Salud eventually became a U.S. citizen, served in the military, and was elected to public office."

AND

"His office specifically challenged the claim that he entered the U.S. illegally, calling it “patently and provably false.”

AND

"Mr. Carbajal claims his legal entry is provable yet refuses to provide documentation."

What happens when a foreigner enters the US using sophisticated Fraudulently Altered

Documents, Passport and Visa, to specifically evade Immigration Law then proceeds to

commit additional crimes once they have obtained fraudulent entry into the US in violation to 8 U.S. Code § 1325." NOW THIS IS A MAJOR PROBLEM.

What happens when the scheme to defraud involves the National Security of the United States?

I will tell you WHAT HAPPENED. THE "SHIT HITS THE FAN" and you will have the entire US Intelligence all over the place like in our Lil Ole Beach Town of Santa Barbara.

In Defense of Salud Carbajal. California is a rich state because of the historical major contribution of Mexico and it's people who I have worked beside for many years. Additionally, Mr. Carbajal did exactly what many folks did for over 200 years. And he served our Country that is a completely different scenario than someone who fraudulently entered with the intent to commit additional crimes especially what has been concealed here in Santa Barbara for so long.

I do have a question for you Mr. Salud Carbajal. Did you know or were involved in the below?>

How about Kamala Harris, did she know when she came to Vandenburg for alittle visit?

https://foreignpolicy.com/2017/12/14/the-secret-history-of-the-russian-consulate-in-san-francisco-putin-trump-spies-moscow/

"The Secret History of the Russian Consulate in San Francisco" and "Overflights, mapping fiber-optic networks, “strange activities.” Moscow’s West Coast spies were busy."

Mr. Carbajal Honorably served our Country as a Marine. FOLKS KEEP YOUR EYE ON THE BALL.

Howard Walther, Member of a Military

PS1 - If Salud Carbajal has been deceptive about his Military Service this is NOT GOOD

and would contradict what service is about. That said, need to avoid or extract those

Politicians that deceive which would include about 70% of the US Congress.

Why isn't he answering questions about his immigration if he came here legally? Hmmm.... not surprised.
