The “Last Gasp” of Journalism as We Once Knew It

Jory Rand perform duties as a “reporter” for ABC7 in Los Angeles. While “reporting” his nonsense during the mayhem occurring as I write this, Mr. Rand opined that he would hate to see law enforcement officers interfere with a “bunch of people having fun watching cars burn.”
Wasn't the concern much more ominous on J6 when a similar combat battalion of “journalists” were chronicling “the last gasp of democracy in America” and other idiocies? Now with the shoe on the other foot, this drill sergeant of insurrection is concerned that if law enforcement moves in to stop these “mostly peaceful people having fun watching cars burn,” it could make things worse.
But if it did “make things worse,” wouldn’t that mean more cars would burn and even more people would be having fun watching them burn?
Anyway, this is your brain on Woke logic.
California is experiencing a real full-blown insurrection in Los Angeles, much of it led by people who shouldn't be here, and who are waving flags of foreign countries. Cars destroyed, police officers injured, buildings under siege. The City of Angels is so morally broken that its sinister media is gaslighting readers and viewers into accepting that it's all “just a bunch of people having fun watching cars burn.”
No mention, by the way, of air pollution.
Are you having fun yet?
Silly me, traditionalist that I am, but when cars are lit on fire, the local police department should stop that.
Am I wrong?
If law enforcement doesn’t step in, more cars will burn. Lawlessness begets lawlessness. How would Mr. Rand feel if “a bunch of people were having fun watching cars burn” in the ABC7 parking lot, or in his driveway? Is it still “having fun” when it's your property?
I'd wager he would call 9-1-1 and expect prompt action.
A Democrat Party End Game?
The Left is so cornered by its own base (who else would watch ABC7 and its idiot “reporters”?) that they have to say things this ignorant and destructive or risk blacklisting and/or violence from their very own. If the local media in Los Angeles were to show the moral courage necessary to demand these riots be put down as quickly as possible, the ABC7 crew fear they would be next, that it really would be their own parking lot on fire. So, they have no choice but to parrot what they know are lies, what they know will encourage more rioting, and do so in the hopes it never arrives at their door.
Or, of course, it may simply mean that their hysteria would draw in more viewers to their TV coverage and away from having fun watching cars burn.
We are witnessing the self-immolation of the Democrat Party, a party that currently stands for freeing illegal aliens (especially rapists, murderers, human traffickers, and gang members) that upwards of 73% of Americans polled agree should and must be deported. Democrats are a party that stands with fetishistic men who destroy girls' sports and invade women's private spaces; a party that stands with giving illegal aliens free housing, health insurance, and welfare: inducements that attract border-crossing illegals to come here and partake of all the freebies on offer. Democrats are members of a party that stands with rioters burning down their own cities.
They are only hurting themselves, of course, particularly now that corporate media no longer has the credibility to gaslight anyone but its own true believers. The Los Angeles insurrection going on right now is an in-house tantrum which can't/won't end well for Democrats.
The Los Angeles Insurrectionists, despite the encouragement of empty-brained TV reporters, must believe that President Donald Trump can be emotionally blackmailed into becoming a potty-trained house Republican.
That is not going to happen.
To reiterate: elected Democrats and people who vote for them are okay with people burning police cars while waving Mexican flags.
What more does anybody need to know?

Bus Records Expose Over 1,000 Out-of-State Activists Bussed into Los Angeles Ahead of ICE Raids, Tied to Democratic Funding

Shocking new evidence has emerged revealing that over 1,000 individuals were transported into Los Angeles just days before the violent protests erupted outside an ICE facility in June 2025. Transportation manifests from multiple charter bus companies show that these trips were organized and funded by activist groups with known ties to the Democratic Party. The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights
(CHIRLA), a prominent organization that received nearly $34 million in government grants during the Biden administration, coordinated a rally against ICE operations targeting undocumented immigrants, including convicted criminals. While CHIRLA denies involvement in violent demonstrations, riots involving over 1,000 people have erupted, prompting President Trump to deploy 2,000 National Guard troops.
Law enforcement sources have confirmed that several individuals detained or arrested during the ICE riots matched names and identifiers from the bus passenger manifests.
