Does voting matter? YES. At minimum each vote messages, so why don’t more Republicans, NPPs and under 50 year olds vote? Is it because they’ve no civic duty to community or country, because candidate choices are the lesser of two evils and ballot measures are intentionally confusing, or because they’re satisfied with the status quo thinking little ever has or will change? We all know Congress is dysfunctional with too many self-serving legislators holding hearings followed by no action; engaging in ‘inside trading’; and disregarding the 80% or the desires of constituents. Our rep Salud is so biased he only reps Democrats, unresponsive to the rest of us. The Democrat Socialists here have taken control of Santa Barbara. Tell me, WHO FUNDS DSA locally?
Fortunately we have good reason to vote this November to replace Salud with responsive, proven leader Bob Smith. Moreover, we must vote on every ballot initiative to save ourselves and our property.
