Thank you, Caroyln. The Left has gone into Death Overdrive in order to control - submit to our lockdown and you'll get to live, and while we're at it, let us kill your fetus for you. But their use of death and their psychological torture of children, turning them into assassins, couldn't control Charlie Kirk. The crowds at his memorial showed he will live on in more and more people. It showed they can't use death anymore. The Left is going to have to realize the true meaning of “getting a life.”

We are grateful to still have the ability to express our opinions in public. Whether this means writing a piece for the Santa Barbara Current, or writing a piece in the Noozhawk, the point is that Christians need to speak up and challenge what people claim about Charlie Kirk. Even more importantly, Challenge what they think about Jesus Christ. Being salt and light takes courage.

I’m not a fan of Charlie Kirk…not in the least but….My god, Polly..This is totally inappropriate..Can’t you withhold your vitriol in the face of a senseless death?

I'm merely reporting the facts, Elaine. Facts are not vitriol. Except when the Left doesn't like them.

Growing up, I recall 2 magazines that reflected and shaped our family: Readers Digest, and Guideposts, a Christian periodical of inspiring life stories. The accounts of how various people followed Jesus through personal tragedy & victory was designed to show others (me!) "the way." Charlie Kirk was not Jesus, but his life was certainly a significant guidepost, a cairn marking the narrow trail of faith. We need these markers to help find the trail, and then find the courage to stay on course.

Thank you, Carolyn, for carrying our hearts and thoughts with you into the arena that morning as you honored the brave young man, Charlie Kirk. We are grateful for your witness of love and remembrance. May God’s blessings be upon you and Paul.

With love in Christ,

Charlie Kirk was not the President of the United Sates, but it is possible that he could have become one. I noted that, whereas, a large number of government officials were in attendance, including both the Vice President and the President of the United Sates, I saw nowhere in your list of prominent political leaders, a member of the Democratic Party.

That brought to my mind the days of Reagan and O'Neill. Chris Mathews wrote a book entitled "Tip & The Gripper, when politics worked"

In an interview with Politico following the publishing of this book Mathews described what happened when Reagan was shot in an attempted assassination. "When Reagan was recovering in George Washington University hospital, Tip O'Neill was one of the first to visit him. He walked across the room to the bed and grasped both of the President's hands and said, 'God Bless You Mr. President'.

President Reagan was still groggy with the medications he had received, but when he saw Tip, he gave the Speaker a big smile and said, 'Thanks for coming Tip.'

Then, still holding one of the president's hands, the Speaker got down on his knees and said 'I would like to offer a prayer for the President, choosing 23rd. Psalm.

Charlie Kirk was a young man; his intent was to be a leader in uniting the people of America focusing on young Americans. he was right, and very much needed in our fractured society.

I hope that Erika is able to build a strong team that will enable her to build on what her husband started.

Thank you for your column today! It was good to review the memorial a celebration of Charlie Kirk’s life! I watched the entire service on TV and joined Turning Point USA the next day after receiving a request from Erika Kirk. Charlie’s work will live on!

God Bless America!

Unlike Erika Kirk, I cannot forgive Charlie Kirk’s assassin! I have struggled with this for days even after watching the entire, moving Celebration of Charlie Kirk’s life! I have decided to let God forgive him for I simply cannot! God Bless America and may God continue the work of Charlie Kirk!!

Erika could forgive him, which demonstrates, more than anything else, that she lives the life of a person transformed by Christ. Doing this is contrary to all of our human natures and it is only God that could achieve this in us. Jesus, God himself, forgave those who crucified HIM.

This is the foundation of the Christian faith.

There's a country western song by Lyle Lovett “God may forgive you but I can't, and that's the difference between God and me.” I have complete admiration and love for Erika Kirk, but there are people I will never be able to forgive because of what they did to people I love. And that is the difference between God, Jesus, Charlie and Erika - and me.

The Democrats are too stupid to realize this, but they would have gained enormous goodwill with voters if they had asked to speak at this event. On another note, with all due respect to Turning Point, the cutoff age to vote should be at least 21. Until you have some experience in the real world other than living with your parents and going to classes where you are routinely brainwashed, it's better for everyone if you wait until your brain is fully developed before you vote.

Male brains are not fully developed until 29/30, female brains at 21/22. Should both sexes wait until their appointed time of development to vote?

Would that also mean no military service until those ages?

I wrote an essay in high school taking that unpopular opinion! I thought it should stay at 21. I also thought that changing the dress code to make it more casual was a mistake. I believe I was correct.

Thank you for this.

Listening to CK podcasts over the years and watching the memorial and specifically Erika Kirk’s forgiveness in the face of unimaginable pain and confronting the pure evil that has become leftist ideology has given me hope for the future.

I am reminded of the lines from the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar” about power and glory:

Simon:

“There must be over fifty thousand

Screaming love and more for you.

And everyone of fifty thousand

Would do whatever you asked them to.

Keep them yelling their devotion,

But add a touch of hate at Rome.

You will rise to a greater power.

We will win ourselves a home.

You'll get the power and the glory”

Jesus:

“Neither you, Simon, nor the fifty thousand,

Nor the Romans, nor the Jews,

Nor Judas, nor the twelve

Nor the priests, nor the scribes,

Nor doomed Jerusalem itself

Understand what power is,

Understand what glory is,

Understand at all.”

Unfortunately, some of our neighbors continue to spread lies and vile rhetoric towards Charlie Kirk and Christians in general. Terms like “white supremacist” continue to be allowed in our local media. Shame on Noozhawk in allowing this disgusting commentary made by disturbed individuals.

Undoubtedly, these are the same burn out, losers which regularly protest in front of our local Tesla dealership, spreading venom and hate towards our country and President.
