Amen Mr Schulte Amen! To be able to breathe at last! To call evil Evil and truth Truth. To do away with all the insanity we endured under a comatose past President and to breathe again. Yes Charlie’s life and death meant a great deal in history. His sacrifice for speaking the Truth , unafraid and so clearly , has left an indelible mark on all our hearts. The word of God is eternal. Charlie was unafraid to speak and live it. Praying for Erika as she lifts up the gauntlet of Faith.

The assassins bullet which cut down Charlie Kirk was the shot heard around the world. We are now at the point of no return, there’s no turning back now. Yesterday, it was Charlie Kirk doing nothing more than exercising his right for which he willingly gave his life, tomorrow it could be me or you.

We now see the left closing our government, taking to the streets with violence and anger and demoralizing our country to the rest of the world. Have they no decency? No they don’t. They promote vile, disgusting theology in our schools and they shout us down at school board meetings when we object. They murder us while we worship and they desecrate everything we believe in. They encourage hoards into overrunning us and overwhelm our social services in order to destabilize our society.

Yes, this is the Turning Point. The time for looking the other way for fear of offending someone or turning the other cheek is over.

Thank you, Henry. I recently lost a friend as in she doesn't speak to me. She stopped before Charlie Kirk was assassinated. No, she's not a Leftie. She's just acting as intolerantly as one. She believes that in order for America to be saved that everyone has to become a Christian. To me that's like when people said that if everyone got vaxed there would be no Covid. My step dad's closest friend from childhood in Santa Barbara was Donny Yee. Donny's widow is a Buddhist, as was Donny. She goes to Santa Barbara Cemetery to light incense in the urn garden for my step dad, my mom and Donny ( my step dad's ashes are not there, long story, but I had a beautiful stone memorial put there). What, I'm supposed to tell Mrs. Yee she can't do this because there should only be Christ worship? Thank God this bs wasn't happening when my step dad and mom and Donny were alive. In my own opinion, America will not be saved by everyone becoming Christian. Nor is talking like my former friend in any way doing honor to the wonderful man, Charlie Kirk and his angel of a widow, Erika. To quote the great songwriter Nick Lowe “What's so funny about peace, love and understanding?”

Having a scientific perspective and having a belief in God are not mutually exclusive. To have a scientific perspective requires the ability to understand the difference between the language of science and the nature of knowledge. Evolution teaches that life can adapt and mutate in ways that can explain how a worm can over time evolve to a human. Evolution theory is clothed in the trappings of scientific verbiage yet in the end the origin of life remains unexplained. A primordial soup of organic molecules formed in an ocean stimulated by lightning formed a self replicating pseudo life form that evolved to burble, burp lalalala. Evolution teaches that life just happened. The most important part cannot be proven or reproduced in a laboratory and no analogues have been discovered of assumed primordial processes leading to proto-life. Indeed a great amount of faith is required to accept evolution and the associated "science". Similar arguments can be made regarding the science behind climate change or the covid response. A defensible scientific perspective requires that the proposition be demonstrable and reproducible. To believe in evolution or climate change requires suspension of the scientific method and adoption of faith in the trappings and verbiage of science or a faith in a construct of man. Rather it is more defensible to realize there is much we do not understand and reserve our faith for God.

Swiss psychiatrist Carl Gustav Jung proposed a cosmology that comfortably integrates the spiritual with the intellect, along with sensation and emotion. To each their due in his proposition for an integrated whole. Religion and science do not need to compete - both are essential. This approach has long appealed to me, coming from a Unitarian religious tradition.

I like your insight, Henry ... great article. I believe Erika knew she would eventually be second in command of the organization. The Charlie-Erika sequence of events certainly has elements of religious connection(s) to the past. Again, great article Henry!

I am quite convinced we are in a spiritual war, Good vs Evil, and many people are showing their true colors now by giving tongue to the hatred that seethes within them.

While in the past I may have sought to avoid confrontations by dodging around the divisive topics, I am finding myself now more willing to ask these haters to explain themselves. Because they cannot articulate their positions, something has overtaken their rational brains and if I provoke them I at least know who I am dealing with.

I want to hold myself to a standard of honesty. I speak my piece, and hope for peace, because the time for remaining silent is over.

Interesting comment.

It would appear that the "other side" is failing and their slide is accelerating.

Otherwise why the derogatory comments and attempts to halt what they dislike, is happening.

As a friend often states "Be of good cheer".......

Congratulations, Henry! You have a remarkable ability to hit many "hot buttons" all at once, but in an atmosphere of friendliness. We need more of that.

Now as both a scientist and a Christian I could wade into some of your comments with my own belief system...but I won't because I believe the undergirded premise of your article is that those who are of the conservative bent are trying to bring in civility and cross-the-table conversations without retorts, but respect. So...good going, my friend! And well said. May we all go forth, in love, to try to understand each other and dialog in the spirit of our founders.

Interesting reflections. Thank you for this through-provoking piece. Man moving to myth must also include John Lennon for another generation. Or even Elvis Presley. And more darkly, the riots triggered by premature deaths via cell phone cameras.

The myth may well include what happens when human potential is cut down before it is fully realized? We all then get to write the final ending, that meets our own human needs. A highly public premature death can also be the first very sobering reality of human mortality. There, but for the grace of God, go I.

The Rapture will occur prior to the second coming. As well, the Antichrist will appear on the scene prior to Christs return. So, for those who believe and have read the Bible it will be obvious what is going on. The answers are in the Bible.
