Thank goodness it’s morning again in America. With today’s sunrise comes the end to the most incompetent, feckless, criminal and corrupt administration in history. Good riddance Joe, don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Not a surprise you gave your family members a presidential pardon on the way out the door. I wonder why? What crimes did they commit? I read today the Biden’s are visiting SY, landing Air Force One at Vandenberg. I guess the runway is too short at SB Airport? Anyway, there goes the neighborhood, please don’t plan to stay.
Interesting to see the typical local cast of peaceniks and malcontents protesting at our courthouse. Yes, banging their old, tired drum of anger, despair and claims of racism. Chanting the same old tired 60’s slogans, making the same old stupid arguments. Dr. King would be truly embarrassed by these white, liberal, overly educated groups of phonies, “resisting” our newly elected president. Never mind Trump won overwhelmingly, these groups of Ty- dyed losers continue their struggle against “Orangeman.” Yes, the nutty, lefty, psychopathy continues here in SB.
Every twist and turn in Trump's Presidency will be fascinating to watch. His thoughts are continuously dynamic and never static and will provide a great lesson to all of us observing his midcourse corrections during his Presidency. Trump and all of us will be sharing the learning process along the way. Never expect a dull day. Trump is here to stay for a very long, four years and we'll see a lot of him.
1/21/25, WASHINGTON D.C. — Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, Chairwoman of the Subcommittee on Delivering On Government Efficiency (D.O.G.E.), is pleased to announce the Republican members selected to serve on the subcommittee for the 119th Congress. These members bring a wealth of experience and dedication to ensuring a more efficient, effective, and accountable federal government.
The Republican members of the D.O.G.E. Subcommittee are:
Rep. Pat Fallon (TX)
Rep. William Timmons (SC)
Rep. Brandon Gill (TX)
Rep. Brian Jack (GA)
Rep. Tim Burchett (TN)
Rep. Eric Burlison (MO)
Rep. Michael Cloud (TX)
Chairwoman Greene expressed confidence in the subcommittee’s composition, stating, “I am honored to lead the Oversight subcommittee for Delivering On Government Efficiency, and I’m proud to announce my fellow colleagues who will be working alongside me to deliver the mandate from the American people. Together, we will strive to eliminate waste, fraud, abuse, and mismanagement within federal agencies, ensuring that the government operates efficiently and transparently for the American people.”
Myself with over fifty years’ experience as an engineer, I'll state my interpretation of how I predict how Elon Musk, the engineer, will handle tasks. I identify myself with some of Elon’s characteristics. Elon once mentioned he had autism (perhaps autism spectrum disorder or ASD) making him a hard worker to compensate for his deficiencies. Also, he’ll display some oddities, too … watch him carefully for those sorts of wild “Why did he do that?” observations. When engineers have to make decisions, they depend on past experiences. Elon will always be leveraging from past experiences in order to spend more time on the less familiar things. When tasks or problems contain thousands of details, one needs to apply past decisions to save time which allows him to move forward. Elon will connect the dots with amazing rapidity and come to surprisingly accurate conclusions. Not common to engineers I come across, but I tend to work on the difficult things first and then go to the easy “clean up stuff.” I always do the most difficult and time-consuming tasks first. I wonder how Elon works on problems. Elon will not waste time. Elon’s sense of urgency to find answers is because of his high level of curiosity as to who done it and why and then creating a solution. Elon will be full of information and then one day, “Eureka!” Been there and done that myself. Many of the observations Elon makes is what we will simply call “Common Sense.” And be asking ourselves, “Why didn’t I think of that?” I immensely enjoy hearing “common sense” used by Trump and I wonder if he picked it up from Elon. Wouldn’t it be great to be a fly on the wall when Elon is at work? Someone should put a camera in the room where he works, and his methodology might become a college class.
You can contact OReilley, if you can get him, since he just had dinner with Trump last week and sat-in on one of his Pre-Cabinet Meetings with Trump. And you can contact Trumps
Press/Contact and directly ask them. I am certain they want to take credit for it.
Ask your friend what CSIS is doing on the Russian/Ukraine Front since no one seems
"Daniel Byman is the director of the Warfare, Irregular Threats, and Terrorism Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He is also a professor at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and director of the Security Studies Program. He is the foreign policy editor for Lawfare and a part-time senior adviser to the Department of State on the International Security Advisory Board. In addition to serving as the vice dean for the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown, he was a senior fellow at the Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution..."
Hey Gene maybe you can suggest Byman to come out to SB and Detect the Threats!
My family has been in the Santa Ynez Valley for over 100 years. We will not welcome people who think that the values of America are expendable. No, hard working people live here who provide many of the products our society requires all from the humble cow! Fraudulent ex-politicians we don’t need in our backyard!
I enjoy the articles here if for nothing else, providing me with insights and perspectives that are often not my own. In the most recent election I was extremely dismayed by the choices I had for leadership.
On many policy topics I, as an independent centrist, find myself concerned with what's being done to our culture, and what the world view dictates. As an example I'd be happy if we just agreed to continue pumping and fracking the wells we already have. Pursuing unlimited fossil fuel production is a case in point. Sure drill Baby drill may be good for economic productivity but it also may be horrible because it decreases the liklihood of us pushing forward the pursuit of alternative sources of energy production. It sure would be fine in Santa Barbara to restart our offshore wells and keep the oil flowing without drilling more.
The last statement in this article is a classic case in point. It's used to condem Joe Biden for his pardons, which I understand even if I'm not supportive of. Further it characterizes as acceptable what Trump has just done by offering a blanket pardon to people who seriously violated the laws by attacking the capital police and breaking into the White House. Does the writer see how his last statement applies to Biden but not to Trump. "With a pardon comes a presumption that criminal laws worthy of prosecution were committed." Think about that.
This is SO mean spirited and, yes, totally offensive and nasty. Just like Trump. Why not focus on what you think needs to be fixed and see if Trump fixes it? The past is over. Read Heather Cox Richardson (link below) for a straightforward description of what is happening and what you voted for. Proud Boys marching the streets of Washington DC? Thugs on the streets looking for more guns? Elon Musk sporting a Nazi salute? Just TRY to see this from another point of view. I hope Trump does some good. I really do but something darker is happening to this country.
Elaine, You need to let go of the few hours of the Jan 6 Capitol Police Riot, if you want to move on. Trump re-owned the Capitol Building Rotunda with his distinguished Inauguration ceremony, bringing so many former critics together with a renewed spirit of unlikely cooperation. For that alone, you should be grateful.
I suspect Trump may have had several speeches ready to load into his teleprompter. But once he learned Biden had issued that tawdry 11th hour pardon, just minutes before Trump's own inauguration, covering that select list of Biden family members stretching all the way back to Biden's Obama administration, days, assume Trump went with Version #2 - take no prisoners and give no quarter. Trump has always been a very good counter-puncher. Case in point.
I remember a very early saying on the net when "flame wars" had quickly become part of these new digital conversations with total strangers: Do not poke sticks at dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.
Why does it make you feel better that the lives. Businesses and even families of too many patriotic Americans were destroyed by Nancy Pelosi’s decisions on and prior to 1/6? Get informed!
It’s hard to get really informed in this culture of lies and misinformation. What Trump said about Nancy Pelosi and 1/6 are total lies to me….and I saw the videos. I’m astounded that you believe what you just said.
I firmly disagree. I guess you are okay with the release of convicted prisoners…violent people who defecated and urinated in the Capital, beat officers, broke windows and destroyed offices? With people in The Proud Boys and The Oath Keepers who marched down our streets chanting, “Jews will not replace us?” You’re afraid of Nancy Pelosi…Really???
Fantastic article Mr. Eringer!!! What a day yesterday! CNN fact checked the whole thing and gave the mainstream narrative as proof of Trump's "lies." What morons. I went back and watched Biden's inauguration speech from 4 years ago, it aged like sardines in the Mojave. The grift is mind boggling! Add of the wasted money on DEI an the projected 95 trillion for the Climate Hoax! Keep up the good work!
But Politfact has LA FD DEI spending at 0.3% of the 24-25 budget. Maybe they don't need it at all - it's not a huge suck on their funding. Let's keep things in perspective.
Perceptive TJ? It’s not just about the budget allocation, it’s about creation and purpose of DEI departments, job assignments of those on DEI staff, and whether DEI related hires are persons able to do the job, and preferably excel at it. Welcome back merit and competition!
Agreed and another result I witnessed was when the non-DEI employees saw that promotions were based on DEI, the good ones left. What young, qualified, hard working, person would want to stay if they perceived that they could not advance no matter what they did?
Brent’s Journal: Question remains will the DEI followers controlling admissions and hires, respond to yesterday’s Executive Order or be held accountable? To elaborate on your point beyond workplace, the DEI based rejection of stellar young Americans only because of skin color and gender. I recall well the year of Stanford’s first year grad biz school DEI hire- a Black female who rejected males from the top 5 ranked national/international universities who had perfect 100% GMAT scores and near perfect UG records only because of their European white skin and where they had obtained their UG degrees. Categorically these exceptional men were labeled “elite”, despite many coming out of public schools and working/middle class homes versus top National private schools like Phillips & Exeter or celebrity homes. These young men were shocked, confused by blatant, blanket discrimination. Inexplicable. They sought answers. They had been raised and believed MLK ‘it wrong to judge by the color of skin’; they shared and executed MLK’s dream in their actions and friendships. When they discovered gender too was now a basis to discriminate, they rose back with their friends, co-workers, and strangers. Yesterday they celebrated a return to meritocracy by Executive Order with fingers crossed.
I emailed this little video to my friends last night, both the Americans, (Republicans), and Commie-Dems. Subject: “Here’s to Trump.” It epitomizes the new Trump America.
Ranger, making the Santa Ynez Valley a center for the pot industry and an enormously lucrative gambling industry, perhaps? Sounds like a good draw for the Biden family proven self-interests: wages of sin and more wealth redistribution grift.

There is no legitimate statistical evidence that DEI has any economical or social value. It is strictly a race hustle.
You are absolutely correct.

You ask why?
Because JUSTICE must be served!!
If no Justice, they the evil will be allowed to keep on doing corrupt actions. They know that there is no penalty.
Thus why all the last minute pardons.
Guilty they all are!!!!!
Justice must be served or the Republic will fail.

No Elaine. You only saw part of the videos. The ones the pre-planned Pelosi cabal wanted you to see. Use other sources.

The violence was committed by the government's own due process failures. Be better next time.
The violence was committed by PEOPLE….who Trump encouraged to storm the Capital. Words and film don’t lie.

But Politfact has LA FD DEI spending at 0.3% of the 24-25 budget. Maybe they don't need it at all - it's not a huge suck on their funding. Let's keep things in perspective.
Thomas John it is not just the Funds Directed at DEI, it is the large number of people
the City & County Hires DEI. The Issue is are they Competent? How many DEI
Hires are in the City & County of LA or for that matter in Santa Barbara?
ALOT and are they Competent? I think not. I for one do not want my local
government DEI-INFESTED or INVESTED. It is best just to move-out and be
done and gone with IT ALL!
OK, I'll agree to that.
