Very interesting article. Maybe suspending Visas from Iran is a good idea right now, given that the US military and Israeli IDF are now engaged in a prolonged bombing campaign against Iran in an attempt to topple their gangster leadership? BTW, big shout out to the Officers, Sailors and Marines aboard the USS Santa Barbara which is currently engaged in combat operations!

Isn’t it bizarre that we now have a sitting member of congress, Ilan Omar, who is from one of the most corrupt countries in the world? But wait, massive fraud has been uncovered in her Congressional District…what a surprise!

I can hear the whiny voices now from those on the left about withholding Visas from the multitude of dirtbag countries because of “diversity.” But really, why to we need sketchy individuals from Iran, Somalia, Congo, Haiti, Nigeria, Sudan, Libya, Eritrea or Equatorial Guinea to name but a few?

Granted, even westernized countries can be corrupted, even those we consider close allies.

How would California rate on the corruption scale? Santa Barbara? I think we all know the answer. Does that mean Californians shouldn’t be allowed to travel to other states? Certainly, folks in Texas would probably agree!

This is exactly the sober analysis we need on this topic, stripped of the current drama queen hysteria and anti-Trump partisanship. Thank you.

It seems that our immigration policies need a review. They are too broad and generous to a fault. We are not a new country looking for new citizens. Or needing lots of people with professions we don't already have. Trump's actions to clean house are overdue.

In reading "Invisible Coup", many unfriendly countries are teaching their citizens NOT to assimilate into our cultures, but promote their country's cultures. Promote their language, customs, loyalty to their flag, etc. In my opinion, dual citizenship should be discontinued and encourage immigrants to want to be AMERCANS, with American values and customs. As it stands, we are importing enemies to exploit our system. Not to mention criminals.

As I said at the beginning, the immigration qualifications need a serious review and an update of the policies.

Many of our elected representatives have dual citizenship.

It wasn’t always allowed.

Time to disqualify anyone from holding office who has dual citizenship

A very illuminating and important piece of journalistic research. One can only wonder why it is that mainstream media, including Fox News just to be fair, do not choose to report these data. Only by citing these types of specifics will the "30-second sound bite attentive" citizenry ever be presented the facts and hopefully spur apathetic legally registered Voters into action that serves the national interests, having been informed. I could broaden this comment to equally apply to the inanity which reigns supreme in CA and accelerate the demise of the state.

The president‘s actions seem to me to be nothing but common sense. We don’t need these people for anything so why let them in?

Thanks for the information.

It’s my understanding that the USA accepts more legal immigrants than any other country.

I think we all know the reason globalists want unfettered immigration.

I read this US VISA Article titled "Validating Visas" By Brent E. Zepke, Esq.

and quote from Mr. Zepke Key statement "The CIS Ronald Mortensen wrote that vetting for nationals in such corrupt countries is nearly impossible for U.S. officials, “due to a combination of incompetence, poor or no record keeping, fraud, bribery, and personal dishonesty.”

So let's play "Devils Advocate" here for the good people of SB Current.

What happens when an individual comes over to the US from one of these "Corrupt Countries" using a sophisticated fraudulent International Passport with an equally fraudulent US Visa inside

of that International Passport? We would all like to think that the State Department, the FBI or the

CIA would catch such a fraudulent event but no this does not happen. In fact, many people come

over from "Corrupt Countries" with such fraudulent documents for many different reasons and some involve the National Security of the United States. These people then embed themselves

in the United States and begin their fraudulent operations like the Somali's in Minnesota.

What happens if it is alot more serious where criminal elements use fraudulent documents to enter the US like we all found out in 911 with the terrorists?

I provide the below links for those that maybe not remember the devastation of 911 >

https://www.9-11commission.gov/staff_statements/911_TerrTrav_Ch1.pdf

I provide you with FBI John S. Pistole Assistant Director, Counterterrorism Division, FBI >

https://archives.fbi.gov/archives/news/testimony/fraudulent-identification-documents-and-the-implications-for-homeland-security

"I would like to thank the Committee for affording us the opportunity to participate in this forum and comment on the use of fraudulent identification documents and the implications for homeland security."

Of course, the good folks and the So-Called-Leaders of Santa Barbara may all say that does not happen in our Lil Ole Sleepy Beach Town. Well, think again folks because it did.

And they Covered-It-All-Up. Welcome to Santa Barbara and California the

Land of Utter Corruption. Think Russia and Ukraine. Heads or Tails and we all lose.

Square these cold hard facts, with the Democrat-Leftist immigration nonsense agenda .... "no human is illegal" (aka : Democrats demand unvetted open borders).

Quick edit. Transparency International’s Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) is from 1-100, not 1-180.

It ranks 183 countries, not 180.

Iran's score is correct at 23 but out of 100. But it's nowhere near the third worst. Its global ranking is 153/183

https://www.transparency.org/en/cpi/2025/index

But perhaps the numbers cited in the article were from a different year?

Anyone else think the rapid influx of "Indian restaurants" right here in Santa Barbara, along with their rapid closures, had anything to do with family chain migrations?

Why didn’t he do this first term?

If he did it in his first term...finding time while fighting the media/Left "Russia Russia Russia" hoax narrative...would you have supported it? Just curious.

You previously referred to CIS (Center for Immigration Studies) as "a very right-leaning website. Have you subsequently discovered CIS is in fact a very serious and legitimate website as a source for verified and substantiated data regarding immigration? If yes, I am gratified. We are making progress David. Is this a great country or what?
