It's good to see you writing again! Yes, details matter immensely.

Very relevant questions Bonnie. Voters need to ask themselves, why would you EVER elect another DSA plant? Further, why would you elect someone who oversaw a toxic, dysfunctional, failed body such as SBUSD?

Electing yet another DSA lefty to the city council would be the final nail in the coffin of a once great city.

Q. Would a “newspaper” like the Independent purposefully mislead voters in order to pave the way for the lefty, radical takeover of SB?

A. Of course they would!

SBUSD school board failures also produced state Senator Monique Limon who now leads the California state senate. Escobedo admits his is an "ambitious" politico, wanting to move up the food chain too - from an under-serving local school board directly into Sacramento.

Wait there’s more, Sims-Moten running for SB Mayor. That’s right up there with Pat Paulsen running for President!

We do have a history of local perennial candidates: that homeless RV guy and the former John Birch guy - every election, until they finally passed off their own mortal coils.

A key word for this decade, and many that preceded it: 'mismanagement,' both public and private.

…and is that a picture of Gabe?

No, the woman was on the cover of the SB Independent. The faulty Escobedo campaign ad was slapped on top of that issue of the Independent.

Either she is very stupid or it’s an obvious choice.

Bonnie, great to have you back which is something I would have said even without the Spotlight plug! Thank you and see you tonight on the Esplanade.

Attending one of the all-district candidate debates, Gabe Escobedo was far and away the least impressive of the entire group. Inarticulate, uncomfortable and an eager yes-man for everything proposed by the current radical and partisan majority.

Nothing thoughtful about the major city controversies passed through his brain. State Street, rent-control, city budget shortfalls - zero consideration about any their long-term negative impacts; just keep moving forward with all of them. That is how Gabe Escobedo intends to represent YOU. Just keep slogging into The Big Democrat Muddy.

It would be a disaster to add him to the dysfunctional city council majority that has already been inflicted upon us today: Sneddon, Santamaria, Gutierrrez, Harmon. So naturally, Escobedo carries the full-throated endorsements by city unions and the local Democrat party machine.

Pay attention, downtown District 6 - Escobedo will cement the current rapid downfall of this city if he is elected. Pay attention Districts 4 and 5 and mayor - the wrong choices in all the city districts and mayor's race can make things so much worse, so very worse.

Do the math, voters - four radical city council members creates a city council majority. Two of them are already in place: Santamaria and Gutierrez. Which two new radical city voices do you want to add that ensure another four years of the city's current downfall?

This is crunch time, voters. Do not keep turning our city over to Democrat party politics.

Bonnie tells it like it is. Elected board members are required to read and scrutinize volumes of reports and pending contracts before taking votes in OUR names. This is the very job they campaigned so eagerly to get.

They need to approach every written page with a red pencil in hand and demand answers about any inconsistencies; not just scroll through an electronic device mindlessly turning the crank. Or waiting for their party handlers to tell them how to vote.
