This is what should be taught in our schools. Our kids have no idea what communism socialism, etc. has caused in this world. I pray that somehow we can get a hold of this and get it out to the young people who have no clue of history.

There's been no shortage of hand-wringing of late regarding the emergence of the DSA as well as (yikes!) communism in America. (For the record, I am a moderate Democrat and disapprove of this trend.) But maybe we should be asking what issues have inspired this movement. And, maybe just maybe, if we correct these issues maybe then we can defuse this socialist/commie threat and, maybe just maybe, make America great again.

One prominent issue seems to be the growing and grotesque disparity in wealth. Evidence of this is the fact that in the US fifty years ago (remember, when it was great?) the average CEO's salary was around twenty times that of the company's average floor worker. Today that CEO's salary is 300 times that worker's. Might that be inspiration for a little discontent?

Also, let us not forget the extrajudicial protections granted to the powerful elites whose names are perhaps forever buried amongst the still millions of pages of unreleased documents within the Epstein Files despite the fact that Trump himself signed the "Epstein Files Transparency Act" and promised to release them all.

Add to this the fact that we currently have a President who is arguably the most corrupt in US history. Evidence of this is too numerous to list here but include the fact that he has enriched himself and his family by some $2.2 billion in just the first year of his second term and has appointed his personal attorney (Todd Blanche) as the acting Attorney General, who then personally crafted an "anti-weaponization fund" that, besides offering possible compensation to J-6 rioters, also grants sweeping immunity from federal tax audits to Trump and his family. Meaning that even if Trump decided not to pay a dime in taxes on that $2.2b, there is nothing the IRS could do about it. (Imagine your outrage if Obama had done this.)

And then we have Trump's constant spewing of lies, whether it's his blaming the Reflection Pool debacle on "Antifa terrorists" (when actually is was the predictably shoddy outcome of a no-bid contract offered to GOP/Mar-a-lago campaign donor J. J. Cafaro, whose $1.7m estimate somehow inflated to $14.6m when all was said and done), or his deliberate mischaracterizing climate change as a "hoax" in order to benefit his cronies in the fossil fuel industry, or his incessant insistence that the 2020 election was "stolen" which, incredibly, even some of you believe.

Anyway, if you're truly concerned about the nascent rise of socialism in America, maybe you should address some of these issues that are engendering the discontent; namely, an unfair economic system and a petulant, narcissistic, prevaricating, grifter-in-chief.
