Thank you, Jeff, for an important and timely article. The statistics you share are something that should not be taken lightly by parents who want the best for their children. Hopefully the mantra, to "trust the science" that the medical establishment put out to quash any fears that a parent may have concerning certain vaccines will be substituted with common sense and the population will not continue to be guinea pigs for financial gain by greedy and unscrupulous people.

Good work Jeff!

Walter Reed was considered a heretic for suggesting that mosquitos spread yellow fever. He was finally proven right and is now the name on one of the most prestigious military hospitals in America.

A little known fact is the role SB has played in guaranteeing that parents will not be able to find a pediatrician willing to write vaccine exemptions for their kids

This is directly from Grok

Dr. Charity Dean

Dr. Charity Dean, MD, MPH&TM, is the doctor who began her public health career in the Santa Barbara County Public Health Department as deputy public health officer (2011–2014) and then served as public health officer (2014–2018). In September 2018, she moved to Sacramento as assistant director of the California Department of Public Health’s (CDPH) Communicable Disease Control and Prevention Branch, overseeing communicable disease programs including immunizations.

In her Sacramento role, she contributed to implementing Senate Bill 276 (2019), which created a statewide review system for medical vaccine exemptions via the California Immunization Registry Medical Exemption (CAIR-ME) portal. This system requires standardized exemptions, reviews those from doctors issuing five or more per year or at low-vaccination schools (under 95%), and refers questionable cases to the Medical Board of California for potential discipline, such as license probation or revocation, for improper exemptions. For example, it has led to sanctions against doctors like Dr. Bob Sears and Dr. Tara Zandvliet.

Dean advocated for stronger vaccine policies, including SB 277 (2015), which ended non-medical exemptions, and she developed local review programs in Santa Barbara to scrutinize exemptions before statewide enforcement.

And let's not forget the disgusting forced resignation of Dr. Paul Marik who was doing extraordinary work in fighting Sepsis but was accused of “spreading misinformation.” I've been trying to get in touch with Marik to interview him for my Substack.about my Sepsis experience and have not been able to find him.

Thank you, Jeff, excellent piece. And the way in which the unvaccinated have been cast as a threat to safety has been frighteningly successful. When people think an unvaccinated person is a bigger death threat on the city streets than an illegal with prior arrests carrying a weapon and fentanyl, we have a problem.

Every great cause begins as a movement, becomes a business, and eventually degenerates into a racket.

Eric Hoffer, “The Temper of our Times”

That says it.

Within the Pharmaceutical industry exists a business model termed full cycle (or circle) investment. In the context of this model, a company produces treatments for a disease which eventually produces new health challenges, for which that company manufactures and sells treatments.

And on it goes.

Del Bigtree along w Dr Rashid Buttar as well as Dr Pam Popper were among the first brave souls to expose various facets of the CV Op. Then along came film maker Mikki Willis and his series of films, which gave a closer look under the hood.

If one wants an idea of how badly perverted things are, do an Ai based search on the subject.

This has been an Op the likes of which Joseph Goebbels would have been quite proud. Keep in mind that he was never brought to justice.

Thank you for doing the work described in your article, Jeff. If more people understood this, then culture could turn on the perpetrators.

It’s no wonder the three letter agencies are no longer trusted by the public. Vaccines appear to be bad for our health. Statin drugs have a risk of causing diabetes while not improving our health. It’s sad but, even as a medical doctor, I don't trust anything with Big Pharma, the CDC, etc. I will never get another vaccine, even for the flu, etc. As a retired spine surgeon I was appalled that clearly 50% of all spine surgery being done were not indicated. The trust in medicine is gone.

Jeff barton's avatar

So refreshing to hear this from an MD. Isn't there a connection between statins and dementia? I was diagnosed with Wegeners autoimmune two weeks after my first ever flu vaccine in fall 2008.

This is a conversation I had with a Rheumatologist in 2010.

Jeff: Do you think that flu shot could have triggered my disease?

Dr Dipwad MD: You cant get the flu from the flu shot.

Jeff: That's not what I am asking. Could it have triggered my Wegeners?

Dr Dipwad MD: I TOLD YOU, THERE IS NO ACTIVE PATHOGEN IN THE VACCINE.

Jeff: Nevermind.

Scott Lederhaus's avatar

Yes, dementia is also associated with statins. I just didn't give all the side effects known.

DLDawson's avatar

NEVER take statins, they rob the brain of much needed cholesterol (25-35% of cholesterol in the body is used by the brain)…statins are causing dementia, Alzheimer’s & other neurogenic brain illnesses…up is down, left is right…the medical community (and thus general public) have been fooled by the same people that sold us climate change, C19, vaccines, never ending wars, etc.

In 1985, high cholesterol was over 280. In 2001, it was lowered to 240. In 2004, it was lowered to 200. Now they're suggesting statins for anyone over 190. At this rate, everyone will qualify by 2030. Which is probably the plan…

I have often seen statistics about how many childhood vaccines are administered now compared to my childhood in the 1950's. So as not to exaggerate:

Grok tells me:

Likely vaccination schedule as a child born in 1954 would have looked like this:

Pre-School Years (Birth to Age 4–6)

1950s (Your Childhood):

Vaccines: Smallpox, DTP (diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis), Polio (IPV starting 1955).

Total Doses: Approximately 6–8 doses (e.g., 3 DTP, 2–3 IPV, 1–2 smallpox).

2025 (Current Schedule):

Vaccines: DTaP (diphtheria, tetanus, acellular pertussis), IPV (polio), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella (chickenpox), Hib (Haemophilus influenzae type b), PCV (pneumococcal), Hepatitis B, Rotavirus, Hepatitis A, Influenza (annual).

Total Doses: Approximately 20–24 doses (e.g., 4 DTaP, 4 IPV, 2 MMR, 2 Varicella, 3–4 Hib, 4 PCV, 3 Hep B, 2–3 Rotavirus, 2 Hep A, 1–2 Influenza).

School Years (Age 6 and Up)

1950s (Your Childhood):

Vaccines: DTP booster, Polio booster, Smallpox booster (if required).

Total Doses: Approximately 2–3 doses.

2025 (Current Schedule):

Vaccines: Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis), HPV (human papillomavirus), MCV (meningococcal), Influenza (annual), boosters for MMR, Varicella if needed.

Total Doses: Approximately 5–9 doses (e.g., 1 Tdap, 2–3 HPV, 2 MCV, 1–4 Influenza).

Total Vaccines (Pre-School + School Years)

1950s: Approximately 8–11 doses across childhood.

2025: Approximately 25–33 doses across childhood.

Monica Bond's avatar

Thank you, Pat, for the info. What an incredible and scary difference between the doses currently and in the 50's.

I am utterly unwilling to EVER take any vaccine again, so I won't be adding to my tally !

Polly Frost's avatar

Pat, I felt the same way until I got shingles in my left eye which can lead to blindness, strokes and to your brain being destroyed. The doctor asked me if I'd take a new drug and I said give it to me. I'm not vaxed, and when I was in Cottage for Septic Shock they told me I was the only patient they had who was taking no prescription drugs. But in some cases you should go for the drugs.

The movie called “An Inconvenient Study” is free on YouTube. Look for ICAN and Del Bigtree. We watched it tonight and I suggest that you all watch it, and share it with your friends, particularly those who have young children. The results are overwhelming and hard to ignore. What is tragic is that the researcher who did the crucial work showing vaccine injury turned out to be a coward. He was so interested in saving his job and his name that he will now go down in the annals of infamy, as the man who came up with the crucial information, and buried it because he was selfish and scared. His name is Dr. Mark Zervos at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.

Thanks for the article. Reminds me of the mid 1950's polio vaccine tests when I was in the third grade living in the Boston area ... and later told I got the Salk vaccine. Waiting in line in the school auditorium for a shot wasn't my favorite school memory. Back then, as I recall, there was no concern about the validity of testing and parents were not concerned. Polio was a big deal, and a cure was urgently sought after. The control of parents by the Dems to have children take inadequately tested vaccines is typical of an overreach by a political party gone mad. The Dems would prefer to take children from the parents so they can be brainwashed.

It would be informative for me to read up on that childhood experience. I've only known one person, back in the late 1960's, that had polio. Back in the 50's, there was mention of the stagnant swim holes gets would go to that was the source of polio.

Thank you for your research perspective, Elce. And your time writing this comment, too! I was in the 3rd grade (1954) when I started receiving the Polio shots. The process made me paranoid about getting injections. My older sister brought me to the doctor for a Polio booster shot years later and I passed out before getting in the door<g>. When I went to college in SF, I had a military deferment, but still I had to go to the Oakland Induction Center and there I passed out while waiting in line for a blood test. It wasn't till I had to take injections for a severe case of hay fever (since I was about six years old) did I more or less overcome the fear of needles ... started by laying down to standing up for the shots. Hay fever tests took dozens of skin scratches of pollens and dust ... recording a 4+ which intrigued the doctor which took pictures. When I turned around 40, the hay fever problem was gone. I never received the "being bad treatment or you'll get Polio" from my parents. I remember one watering hole located under a bridge that gathered a lot of kids in one place. Because it was so densely packed with kids, I didn't go into this "fishbowl." That's why I didn't get Polio <g>. My favorite teacher of all times so happened to be Mrs. Stockwell in the 3rd grade during the start of the Polio shots.

Elce, speaking of needles, when I was a kid, I knew well the inventor of the disposable hypodermic needles, which included visits to Mr. Roehr's home in Daytona, FL and his manufacturing plant located in DeLand, FL ... also my hometown from 1957 to 1963. When my dad passed away in 1960, I did part time work for a music store that offerred me electronic repair work and installation work of background music systems for stores and factories. I repaired Roehr's Fisher hifi system at his home in Daytona Beach and worked on his background sound system in his needle factory in DeLand. One time there at the factory, he gave me a handful of his Monoject disposable needles. One thing I found interesting with Mr. Roehr, is he had photography as a hobby and his own darkroom at his home. He also "imported" Scandinavian women as maids to his home. Blonde and beautiful!

Zbysław Roehr (1902-1970) was a Polish inventor and industrialist who founded Roehr Products in 1948, which later became known for manufacturing disposable hypodermic needles. The company introduced the "Monoject" plastic disposable hypodermic syringe in 1955, which was a significant innovation in medical technology. Roehr Products was recognized for its contributions to the medical field, and the DeLand manufacturing plant, originally part of Roehr Products, is now known as Covidien, a manufacturer of medical devices and supplies.

RFK, is a treasure trove of misinformation regarding vaccines and children’s health. He has fueled vaccine hesitancy, in this social climate that gave way to a deadly measles outbreak in Samoa and Tonga and more recently in the western Texas and east New Mexico areas. He recently also stated that Tylenol was the cause of autism, and I believe he only said that because he promised that by September of this year he would know the cause. So he had to say something. He is a danger as head of health services for the United States of America.

Amazing how many here turn out to be anti-vaxx. I looked at the references for the studies and found that both Thomas (who is profiting) and Zervos were unreliable while the Aaby studies were dealing with questions of sequencing of DTP and Measles vaccines. That is a good study. The others, bogus. I'm not supporting the pharma industry, which is just doing its capitalistic best for profit, but vaccination is the major public health tool that we have and opposing it is foolish or worse.

However, for those who don't want their kids vaccinated, you still ought to push for general public vaccination. Why? Here's some statistics on measles:

unvaccinated chance of life changing result: ~1 per 1000 (about 30 years ago while working on models of epidemics for a course in math modelling I talked to a nurse who had worked in the serious measles ward of a hospital. She said it was the most heart-wrenching experience of her life).

chance of serious reaction to MMR vaccine: ~ 1 per 1,000,000 (mainly consequence of egg allergy)

percent of population vaccinated required for herd immunity: 95+%

Obviously, push for the 95% rate of vaccination and then feel safer in not getting your kids vaccinated. Cynical, of course.

Monica Bond's avatar

Burton, we will have to agree to disagree . I don't think the article is suggesting that we go back to the stone age in medicine but that we start using common sense and when it comes to bringing in a new medicine, have it thoroughly tested by non biased, if that is possible, parties. There are so many obituaries these days with more and more younger folks dying from heart disease and cancers than in the past and as was predicted when the Covid push came, it seems to be coming to fruition. You are amazed , you say, at the amount of readers here that are leery, to put it mildly, of certain vaccines, but I am amazed that I still see people wearing their masks as they drive in their cars. You should certainly have the right to stick whatever legal substance into your body you want and you can scoff at folks all you want who disagree with you. What really amazes me is that this topic should be completely

non partisan but for some weird reason followers of big government seem to fall lock step with the push to vax.

Burton H Voorhees's avatar

Vaccines are tested, usually, covid likely not as much given the emergency push (Operation Warp Speed, Trump), but no company wants lawsuits piling up and I doubt that it has contributed to folks dying of heart disease or cancer. Of course, no vaccination is 100% safe, just much safer than the disease it prevents. If we want to look at young folks dying from heart disease and cancer from things they put into their bodies, I suggest starting with pop and fast food. Then move on to lack of exercise.

The question of vaccination really ought to be nonpartisan, but it runs into the difference between personal health responsibilities and public health policy. The latter requires a sufficient percent of a population to be vaccinated for herd immunity to kick in. Otherwise it puts unvaccinated people in danger. That means that it's not just a matter of personal rights, a person deciding not to vaccinate can endanger others. (I got my last serious virus in late 2018 on a flight home from Hawaii. A woman in the same row was coughing, sneezing, complaining about catching a cold on vacation. She wasn't wearing a mask and both I and my wife came down a couple of days later. I'll bet that a few others on the plane did, also.)

Jeff barton's avatar

Hey genius, the national childhood vaccination injury act of 1986 protects vaccine manufacturers from liability. But never let facts get in the way of your narrative. You should read Aaron Siri’s book Vaccines Amen where he discusses in detail the safety testing done on each vaccine on the childhood schedule. For example safety testing of the hepatitis B vaccine given at birth the control group was followed for 5 days to look for adverse reactions. Even you must agree this is inadequate. Dr Plotkin who is the top recognized vaccine “expert” when deposed under oath conceded that this testing was inadequate.

Thank you Jeff Great article. Before my first child was born,I was sent a VHS of a PBS documentary and the harm of vaccines.

I'm so glad that was given to me.

In the late '90's and early 2000's in California you were able to take a religious exemption for required vaccines to enter school. I'm very thankful for that. I don't know what I would do now.

I was able to not have to fulfill the vaccination requirements for my kids.

It was a constant battle with pediatricians which the baby well checks just seemed just an appointment for vaccinations.

My 2 kids took the minimal vaccinations and with adjustments to their schedules.

To any parent I would recommend, and also RFK JR,to not give all vaccines at one appointment, start later in the child's life,Break up the MMr vaccine and always ask for non Thermisol vaccine.

My children seemed to be very healthy in their childhood and no chronic illnesses and are still healthy.

What happened to the building of immune systems. The kids have a total of 70 vaccines in their early childhood and it completely destroys their inherent immune system.

Also remember when the child enters College there are another wholw bunch of vaccines are required for them. My suggestion would be check immunity by titers, and avoid the vaccines altogether. It is accepted by colleges.

Julia Gonzales's avatar

IMO: I feel I have lived this long through the grace of God, vaccines and vaccinations. I have been blessed and not gone through any childhood diseases. I have been receiving vaccinations since the late 1940s. There have been studies on vaccines since they came into existence. Results can vary which often they do, but as I said, this is my opinion. As stated studies can be manipulated, depending on what your goal is.

As I said, it seems most of these health issues in children started with antibacterials. Everything was about killing the germs. Antibacterial was put into every cleaning or washing solution they could find. And it’s a known fact that we do need certain kinds of germs. Again, this is just my opinion.

Monica Bond's avatar

Julia, I do have to agree with you that perhaps a lot of folks today do not have healthy immune systems and are more apt to become ill as they have not built up a resistance to germs. Also, one of the readers gave some interesting statistics about the doses of vaccines in the earlier years than today.

Great article and one which is triggering much discussion, such as how can a vaccine be considered safe if you do not consider the long term effects? Berney
