There is nothing democratic about California. It’s essentially a dictatorship. The one-party rule has been locked into place through redistricting, mail-in ballots, ballot harvesting and indoctrinated student blocks from our colleges and universities. And I think it’s also fair to say, there’s a lot of corruption and cheating with the ballots themselves.
I give it to the Democrats. They’ve done a great job of turning California into their own personal regime. They’ve created an impenetrable wall and hold no shame. They scream it’s all about democracy and yet they’re not even close to being democratic.
California is the worst run state in the union and yet we still we allow it to happen. Our representatives are complicit in allowing it to happen. Santa Barbara has been under liberal authority for as long as I remember. From the city council, to the supervisors to its Washington representatives. All decisions, policies, regulations and control have been designed and created to take care of one side, the liberals. Common-sense thinkers and conservatives have been forced to suck it up and deal with it. If it wasn’t for almost one man, Andy Caldwell and COLAB, we would never hear about half the stuff the corrupt left tries and does pull off.
Salud Carbajal, our “non” Representative in the 24th district has voted since October 2021, 100% of the time with the worst president this country has ever had to endure. A partisan politician who recently gave himself a pay raise while giving his constituents a pay reduction for monies needed to cover the cost of swag for all the illegals pouring into the country. For someone who should know better, having been born in Mexico and immigrated to the United States at the age of five, why does he continue to be part of the problem and undermine the people he’s supposed to serve?
Death of the American Dream
Even after passing legislation to fight fentanyl entering the country, he continues to allow it to flood in by the ton since his partner in crime, President Biden, refuses to close the border. I should think with the massive influx of illegals and the strain and pressure being put on American citizens who are already struggling to make a living would and should be his first priority. He even said so. “I think it’s the ability to put food on the table, to provide a roof over your head, to be able to pay rent or a mortgage. To provide accessible and quality child care, pay reasonable prices for gas, have good and affordable quality health care, good jobs, economic opportunities and be able to pursue a higher education. That is the American Dream. That everybody can thrive and live up to their potential and be productive citizens.” Key word, citizens.
We always hear that the reason Democrats are destroying our country by allowing this massive invasion is they’re manufacturing votes to keep them in power. Last I heard non-citizens can’t vote. Democrats constantly bleed my ears with “it’s all about democracy,” but it’s nothing more than a hypocritical battle cry of vulgarity. You can’t claim you’re protecting democracy while ripping the shirt off what it means to be an American citizen.
California and my hometown of Santa Barbara get nothing but leftist lip service. Salud, who fended off some very smart and much more rounded challengers, serves on numerous committees, all with pleasant sounding titles. But all I see here at home are oil companies with wonderful tax contributions to our coffers booted out of the county, the state. More housing shoved down our throats but no new water to handle them. Homelessness still growing, taxes going up, gas prices double over other states. Santa Barbara County created Bidenomics.
Rules of Citizenship
What is really going on? How come things are so upside down? Why can’t people like Salud care about Americans first? We have so many problems in this country, especially California being first in everything wrong, why do we allow such a shocking calamity to continue on our border? It can end yesterday. Close the border! The hate for Trump is so profound the Democrats cut off their noses to spite their face because they can’t allow themselves to respect Trump’s success.
“But we need comprehensive reform” shout the Democrats. Would someone explain and outline exactly what that is. It’s a bunch of gobbledygook. We already have oodles of laws and rules. Just enforce them. And the bogus asylum seeker ruse has to stop.
As it is, there are four ways to become an American citizen:
Citizenship through birth (we’re all familiar with pregnant women jumping the wall and having kids on our soil).
Acquired citizenship through parents.
Derived citizenship through parents (have a green card, one parent must be a citizen and living in the U.S.).
And the granddaddy: some five, maybe ten million new illegal entrants and counting, and the Democrats are relying on citizenship through naturalization. This entails five years as a permanent resident, three years married to a U.S. citizen, (i.e., Ilhan Omar married her brother) or in the armed services. So, when all the border crosses are told to report to court in five years, it’s meaningless. They can become citizens.
Getting It Right
Where I will give Salud Carbajal credit is his effort toward helping veterans. However, there’s still something seriously wrong. Veterans wander our streets aimlessly while illegals lounge in five-star hotels complaining the food doesn’t meet their dietary standards. Suicide rates for our military is beyond disturbing. Since 9/11, 7,057 service members were killed in combat but 30,177 died by suicide. When we say, “Thank you for your service,” there are those thousands that we let down who will never hear those words of gratitude.
How about we take all that money being wasted to teach racism in our schools, kick American kids out of their classrooms to house illegals, pay for healthcare to people who don’t belong here, and really focus on things that matter to Americans?
Can we just try and get something right?
Electing Roy Lee as supervisor, to replace the equally awful Das Williams, would be a significant shot across the bow of the liberal establishment
What an excellent summary of the current disastrous situation. People have to step back and take a look at how things are and how things were. The people, and the people alone, are the ones who can make the necessary changes. Remember that the number one priority of any elected politician is to get reelected. Obviously, the welfare of the community and its people is clearly not our congressman's highest priority; how could it be when he votes 100% of the time with the President with the worst approval rating and policies in modern history.
