Salud Carbajal has been a resounding FAILURE for the 24th Congressional District. Clearly, Carbajal’s constituents are NOT the middle class taxpaying public. No, the majority of attention given by Carbajal is the special interests of: public sector unions, radical environmentalists, illegal migrants, liberal elites and the rainbow coalition.
The rhetoric of Carbajal against a sitting president and his administration is nothing short of disgraceful.
It is astonishing how California is rating the bottom of the barrel when in comes to home ownership, poverty, education, gas prices and the overall cost of living. All while giving political coverage to the most corrupt governor in California history, Gavin Newsom.
James good sir. I get the same "news" letter and actually prepared a similar piece, but you beat me to the punch. Well done. This dude is a menace. Here's his closing statement:
"Please know that I will continue to fight to protect health care, keep families fed, and ensure our government works for working people – not just the rich and powerful."
Translation: “I want to give as much money and free services to people who are here illegally to secure their vote through our corrupt California election process so that I, and my pompous cohorts in crime, can remain in power and rip off the American citizen taxpayers to re-distribute their hard earned income.”
That is the way I interpreted his closing statement. I have found that "contacting" him and asking for a response does not get one if you criticize or disagree with him. He needs to go away!
SC does not know how to get anything really accomplished excepting for bashing others that are trying to get America back on a track for a prosperous and secure future. He had accomplished nothing since we have been here in Ca about 8 years. Might be time for a job in the private sector to learn how real people struggle in this state.
I'm guessing an AI search of the constituent letters written a year ago by the 212 Democrat members of the House would reveal an eerie similarity...probably most wouldn't pass the anti-plagiarism filter of an average college professor. Point being that the "talking point" hyperbole factor of Salud's letter is meant to feed and perpetuate the creedal narrative to which his base--and the national (D) Party message factory--adhere. Frankly, the franking privilege of House members produces information and opinion that is anything but frank...or real. Salud!
Thanks for the reality check! It is strange that our congressman had no such warnings on the inflation reduction act and longs for more of the affordable care act. As a congressman he could keep his plan, it is time for our district to take our congressman off his healthcare plan and other perks of the drooling class.
Is this an issue of intentionally bad intelligence or truly a person off the rails?
I chose to believe the former.
Reminder Lois Capps living on a modest retirement was talked into running for the 24th District and promised not to serve more than 2 terms. If you are not grounded in reality the bubble called Congress can be reality warping. How does it change reality? Does Lois oversee a non-profit and the additional retirement? When informed of a personal conversation where Dr. Capps stated he was against open borders former representative Capps exploded and said her husband never made such a statement. (That was a direct conversation I personally had with the former UCSB Professor and at that time a member of the House)
Rep. Carbajal seems to be moving more and more to the radical left. The Washington Bubble is taking grip on him. It is both Socially and Monetarily destructive. This at a time where it would appear the Democrat Party is and has moved to a position where they want to destroy the construct of the Constitution. When leftest Supreme Court Justices were in the majority everything is right. Now Democrat Leaders have openly stated when they cannot control the game it is time to tear it down. The radical DSP is gaining control of more and more of the Democrats. So where is Salud on social issues?
Mr. Fenkner's comment "But pretending the only solution is writing bigger checks funded by tomorrow’s taxpayers — while ignoring what actually works on the ground — isn’t compassion..." is how the Left views answers. Just look at Newsom and Sacramento with their answers. Throw money at it while the State is flooded with red ink and raise taxes. Look at Wisconsin another middle finger state where give away money, change the flag, and more "free" that isn't free. Now look at the demeaning and and anti 250th Birthday rhetoric coming out of the House Minority leadership.
So there it goes. Salud is not a Blue Dog Democrat. He is being dragged to the radical left and it would appear he doesn't realize it.

Mr. Fenkner thought provoking article.
Thankyou. Truth!
