Nowhere is Trump Derangement Syndrome better exemplified than yesterday’s arrest of washed up, make believe “Journalist,” Don Lemon for his hateful, deranged and unlawful attack on a Christian Church in St. Paul. The video evidence is clear, documenting Lemon’s direct involvement in harassing, threatening and disrupting worshippers while exercising their constitutional right of freedom of religion. Can one only imagine the outrage by the left if it had been a white, conservative journalist interfering in a Black Church or Mosque? The hypocrisy is sickening.
Another example of TDS is the shooting of Alex Pretti. Naturally, no one wants to see “protestors” being killed for exercising their constitutional rights, but when you come to a protest, armed to the teeth, engaging federal agents with physical assault, then you are responsible for the consequences. Turns out, Pretti was not so much of an outstanding, caring, and squeaky clean “Nurse” after all. Is there a LGBTQ component to all of this? Sure seems so given the numerous assaults, mass shootings in churches and assassinations. Why hasn’t the media connected the dots? Sure does seem the mayhem and debauchery in Minnesota started as the MASSIVE fraud of public tax dollars was uncovered?
Yes, TDS takes on many forms of mental illness manifestations as we see here locally. Chanting, protesting, yelling, screaming, abandoning jobs and schools in order to make their “outrage” known to all. How about the local real estate agent who got sprayed in the face with pepper spray for threatening ICE agents? Who would want to buy a home from this unhinged individual? Does her Broker condone this behavior?

My Position on Immigration:
I'm strongly pro-immigration AND pro-reform of our broken immigration system. Unlike some here, I don't view every non-white immigrant as a burden or criminal. I see them as a solution to critical long-term problems, and I use historical precedent to support this view.
For those who dismiss education: study how the Irish, Italians, Germans, Japanese, Chinese, and Jews were treated when they immigrated between 1850-1950. The groups you now consider "acceptable" faced the same hostility—often worse—than today's immigrants from Honduras, Venezuela, Mexico, or Pakistan. Without immigration, we'd be a Western version of England. With it, we became the United States.
Every single wave of immigration faced identical accusations: they're criminals, they don't speak English, they won't assimilate, they're taking our jobs, they're bringing disease. The Irish were considered genetically inferior and too Catholic to ever integrate. Italians were linked to organized crime and anarchism. Chinese immigrants faced outright exclusion laws. Japanese Americans were thrown into internment camps. Yet within two generations, each group became an integral part of the American fabric, contributing immeasurably to our economy, culture, and innovation. The current hysteria about Latin American and Middle Eastern immigrants is the same xenophobic playbook, just with different targets. History proves these fears are always overblown and that immigration strengthens rather than weakens America.
Immigration solves a problem that anti-immigration advocates refuse to acknowledge: our declining population. I'll make you a deal right now:
Publicly fund childcare. Mandate parental leave until age one for either parent. Provide government-funded healthcare. Cover college tuition (not room and board) for all citizens, regardless of age. Create reasonable housing solutions.
Do that, and I'll concede we don't need immigration. Yes, we'd lose diversification, but removing the massive financial burden of having children would change the equation. You'd see birth rates climb to 2, 3, or 4 children per family.
The math is brutal and unavoidable. The U.S. birth rate is 1.6 children per woman—well below the 2.1 replacement rate. Without immigration, our population will shrink, our workforce will contract, and our economy will stagnate like Japan's. Social Security and Medicare depend on a growing workforce to support retirees. Who do you think will pay for your retirement when there aren't enough workers? Every developed nation without robust immigration faces this crisis. You can't have it both ways—you can't oppose immigration AND oppose the social programs that would incentivize Americans to have more children. Countries like France and Sweden maintain healthier birth rates precisely because they've implemented these support systems. But American conservatives oppose both immigration and family support programs, ensuring demographic collapse while pretending the problem doesn't exist.
But here's where people like Henry cherry-pick. You want only "the best and brightest" to come to America. What you haven't figured out: the best and brightest increasingly don't want to come here.
Obama's ICE focused enforcement on criminals and recent border crossers—a targeted approach with priorities. Trump's ICE conducts indiscriminate sweeps, separating families who've been here for decades, tearing apart communities, and creating economic chaos in industries dependent on immigrant labor. Yes, it's tragic that Katie Abraham was killed by a drunk driver who happened to be undocumented. It's equally tragic that 34 Americans die daily from drunk driving—where's your outrage for the other 33 that day? Where are the tears for the thousands killed annually by citizen drunk drivers?
Katie represented 3% of that day's drunk driving deaths. Studies consistently show undocumented immigrants commit DUIs at lower rates than citizens. If you genuinely cared about drunk driving deaths rather than weaponizing this tragedy for political points, you'd be advocating for comprehensive drunk driving prevention—not selective outrage based on immigration status.

I agree that any possible cure will take many years. Even if a person finally concludes they were wrong, misguided, or changes their opinion, it is human nature not to admit it. There is also the fear of losing your friends and colleagues, and for politicians losing their job.

Please talk to a Sheriff. You are woefully under informed. They can’t do custody transfers in almost all cases. It is a fact that sanctuary is only protecting criminals, and the people most victimized by those criminals are the immigrant neighborhoods themselves.
I’ve also attended multiple charities on the Democrat side that are struggling for funds to support trafficked children here. They have many kids under case workers with the funds they do have.

Sanctuary states and cities do not report immigration status with crimes. So the entire state of CA does not attach “illegal immigrant” and “crime” together in any report…then you say, “illegals aren’t committing crimes here.”
Obama didn’t have to work against Sanctuary. He had local support to target specific people. He also did almost all “removals” instead of “returns.” Bill Clinton did almost exclusively “returns.” A “removal” gives a person a 10 year felony ban on reentry. Not a civil infraction. A federal criminal felony. So a “removal” by Obama in 2014, means if they came back during Biden open borders in 2021, they are automatically in a criminal felony state with a federal criminal warrant. So when you say “why did this nice worker get detained?” Without context, you have no clue that person isn’t under a federal criminal warrant. Under INA 241 (a)(5), no judge is required for immediate administrative removal - this is the “due process.” If Obama had done “returns,” the process would be different. Not one complaint then. Not one protest. No constant attacks on officers looking for a reaction to use politically.
If you don’t like INA 241, your POC to protest to is Salud Carbajal - our federal legislator, not law enforcement. Neither him or Capps before him did a single piece of legislation to change it since Clinton improved expedited deportation.
Creating chaos against federal authorities for 12 months, including when they were here to get trafficked kids off a cannabis grow, then using two tragic incidents that eventually occur as a result, regardless if fault is determined on the officers, as justification for creating the well funded and intentional chaos in the first place is just wrong.
No sane person wants these large forces in a neighborhood, I certainly don’t. Dan, I don’t disagree with you actually. I think there’s a bit too much aggression. Even in the Pretti shooting incident, there was way too much force used on the woman in pushing her to the ground and spraying her. I’m trained in use of force and was a training supervisor on this stuff in the Navy. De-escalation and continuing to treat people with respect should be the norm.
That said, they are on a year of constant messing with them executing their duties, and a portion of protestors step way over the line each night, not surprising an incident occurred, and it’s being reinforced by people in office to use as political capital. Doesn’t excuse it. I’ve seen nothing in that video personally that justifies deadly force.
If the majority of Americans don’t like the laws being enforced we have a democratic process to change them. However, I think most Americans want illegal criminals gone, and it’s fact that the posture here with sanctuary is protecting criminals, drugs, and trafficking.

What has taken place in MN should be a concern for all Americans. There are serious constitutional issues in play, however the answer to these issues is not thru street violence, rather the courts and legislation. If DHS has deported hundreds and thousands of people, the reported violent incidences are a couple of hundred. This is a very small percentage, under 1%, and does not indicate a deficiency in the system, and the majority of these incidents have been in “sanctuary” jurisdictions. Unfortunately at a time where MN is deciding to be less of a Sanctuary our local reaction is to be more of one. This makes no sense if we want our laws enforced and less violent incidences when they are.

But that was before Sanctuary City laws when the jurisdictions worked with Ice under Obama and were able to pick up criminals at the jails and if released in to the community.
The reason ICE has to go into communities in 12 states who have Sanctuary laws, is that the Sanctuary States do not work with ICE when a criminal is released from a jail. Instead the criminal is released in to communities.

Nowhere is Trump Derangement Syndrome better exemplified than yesterday’s arrest of washed up, make believe “Journalist,” Don Lemon for his hateful, deranged and unlawful attack on a Christian Church in St. Paul. The video evidence is clear, documenting Lemon’s direct involvement in harassing, threatening and disrupting worshippers while exercising their constitutional right of freedom of religion. Can one only imagine the outrage by the left if it had been a white, conservative journalist interfering in a Black Church or Mosque? The hypocrisy is sickening.
Another example of TDS is the shooting of Alex Pretti. Naturally, no one wants to see “protestors” being killed for exercising their constitutional rights, but when you come to a protest, armed to the teeth, engaging federal agents with physical assault, then you are responsible for the consequences. Turns out, Pretti was not so much of an outstanding, caring, and squeaky clean “Nurse” after all. Is there a LGBTQ component to all of this? Sure seems so given the numerous assaults, mass shootings in churches and assassinations. Why hasn’t the media connected the dots? Sure does seem the mayhem and debauchery in Minnesota started as the MASSIVE fraud of public tax dollars was uncovered?
Yes, TDS takes on many forms of mental illness manifestations as we see here locally. Chanting, protesting, yelling, screaming, abandoning jobs and schools in order to make their “outrage” known to all. How about the local real estate agent who got sprayed in the face with pepper spray for threatening ICE agents? Who would want to buy a home from this unhinged individual? Does her Broker condone this behavior?

My Position on Immigration:
I'm strongly pro-immigration AND pro-reform of our broken immigration system. Unlike some here, I don't view every non-white immigrant as a burden or criminal. I see them as a solution to critical long-term problems, and I use historical precedent to support this view.
For those who dismiss education: study how the Irish, Italians, Germans, Japanese, Chinese, and Jews were treated when they immigrated between 1850-1950. The groups you now consider "acceptable" faced the same hostility—often worse—than today's immigrants from Honduras, Venezuela, Mexico, or Pakistan. Without immigration, we'd be a Western version of England. With it, we became the United States.
Every single wave of immigration faced identical accusations: they're criminals, they don't speak English, they won't assimilate, they're taking our jobs, they're bringing disease. The Irish were considered genetically inferior and too Catholic to ever integrate. Italians were linked to organized crime and anarchism. Chinese immigrants faced outright exclusion laws. Japanese Americans were thrown into internment camps. Yet within two generations, each group became an integral part of the American fabric, contributing immeasurably to our economy, culture, and innovation. The current hysteria about Latin American and Middle Eastern immigrants is the same xenophobic playbook, just with different targets. History proves these fears are always overblown and that immigration strengthens rather than weakens America.
Immigration solves a problem that anti-immigration advocates refuse to acknowledge: our declining population. I'll make you a deal right now:
Publicly fund childcare. Mandate parental leave until age one for either parent. Provide government-funded healthcare. Cover college tuition (not room and board) for all citizens, regardless of age. Create reasonable housing solutions.
Do that, and I'll concede we don't need immigration. Yes, we'd lose diversification, but removing the massive financial burden of having children would change the equation. You'd see birth rates climb to 2, 3, or 4 children per family.
The math is brutal and unavoidable. The U.S. birth rate is 1.6 children per woman—well below the 2.1 replacement rate. Without immigration, our population will shrink, our workforce will contract, and our economy will stagnate like Japan's. Social Security and Medicare depend on a growing workforce to support retirees. Who do you think will pay for your retirement when there aren't enough workers? Every developed nation without robust immigration faces this crisis. You can't have it both ways—you can't oppose immigration AND oppose the social programs that would incentivize Americans to have more children. Countries like France and Sweden maintain healthier birth rates precisely because they've implemented these support systems. But American conservatives oppose both immigration and family support programs, ensuring demographic collapse while pretending the problem doesn't exist.
If you can't see the difference between ICE under Obama versus Trump, you're willfully blind. Trump has repeatedly lied about his policies, and his most devoted followers believe every word. Yes, it's tragic that Katie Abraham was killed by a drunk driver who happened to be undocumented. It's equally tragic that 34 Americans die daily from drunk driving—where's your outrage for the other 33 that day? Where are the tears for the thousands killed annually by citizen drunk drivers?
Katie represented 3% of that day's drunk driving deaths. Studies consistently show undocumented immigrants commit DUIs at lower rates than citizens. If you genuinely cared about drunk driving deaths rather than weaponizing this tragedy for political points, you'd be advocating for comprehensive drunk driving prevention—not selective outrage based on immigration status.
Let's talk about what actually reduces drunk driving deaths: stricter DUI laws, ignition interlock devices, better public transportation, ride-sharing services, and aggressive enforcement. These measures save lives regardless of the driver's immigration status. But I don't see Henry or others demanding mandatory interlock devices for all first-time offenders. I don't see them pushing for the public transit investments that reduce drunk driving. They're not advocating for the proven interventions that would have saved Katie and the other 33 people who died that day. I’ve also attended multiple charities on the Democrat side that are struggling for funds to support trafficked children here. They have many kids under case workers with the funds they do have.

Sanctuary states and cities do not report immigration status with crimes. So the entire state of CA does not attach “illegal immigrant” and “crime” together in any report…then you say, “illegals aren’t committing crimes here.”
Obama didn’t have to work against Sanctuary. He had local support to target specific people. He also did almost all “removals” instead of “returns.” Bill Clinton did almost exclusively “returns.” A “removal” gives a person a 10 year felony ban on reentry. Not a civil infraction. A federal criminal felony. So a “removal” by Obama in 2014, means if they came back during Biden open borders in 2021, they are automatically in a criminal felony state with a federal criminal warrant. So when you say “why did this nice worker get detained?” Without context, you have no clue that person isn’t under a federal criminal warrant. Under INA 241 (a)(5), no judge is required for immediate administrative removal - this is the “due process.” If Obama had done “returns,” the process would be different. Not one complaint then. Not one protest. No constant attacks on officers looking for a reaction to use politically.
If you don’t like INA 241, your POC to protest to is Salud Carbajal - our federal legislator, not law enforcement. Neither him or Capps before him did a single piece of legislation to change it since Clinton improved expedited deportation.
Creating chaos against federal authorities for 12 months, including when they were here to get trafficked kids off a cannabis grow, then using two tragic incidents that eventually occur as a result, regardless if fault is determined on the officers, as justification for creating the well funded and intentional chaos in the first place is just wrong.

Dan, I don’t disagree with you actually. I think there’s a bit too much aggression. Even in the Pretti shooting incident, there was way too much force used on the woman in pushing her to the ground and spraying her. I’m trained in use of force and was a training supervisor on this stuff in the Navy. De-escalation and continuing to treat people with respect should be the norm.
That said, they are on a year of constant messing with them executing their duties, and a portion of protestors step way over the line each night, not surprising an incident occurred, and it’s being reinforced by people in office to use as political capital. Doesn’t excuse it. I’ve seen nothing in that video personally that justifies deadly force.
If the majority of Americans don’t like the laws being enforced we have a democratic process to change them. However, I think most Americans want illegal criminals gone, and it’s fact that the posture here with sanctuary is protecting criminals, drugs, and trafficking.

What has taken place in MN should be a concern for all Americans. There are serious constitutional issues in play, however the answer to these issues is not thru street violence, rather the courts and legislation. If DHS has deported hundreds and thousands of people, the reported violent incidences are a couple of hundred. This is a very small percentage, under 1%, and does not indicate a deficiency in the system, and the majority of these incidents have been in “sanctuary” jurisdictions. Unfortunately at a time where MN is deciding to be less of a Sanctuary our local reaction is to be more of one. This makes no sense if we want our laws enforced and less violent incidences when they are.
Yes he sent agents to homes and in his press conferences he stated he was following the law. Which Trump is also.

Do you know Tom Homan was head of ICE also during Obama and received a medal for his accomplishments. Same leader and same laws.
But that was before Sanctuary City laws when the jurisdictions worked with Ice under Obama and were able to pick up criminals at the jails and if released in to the community.
The reason ICE has to go into communities in 12 states who have Sanctuary laws, is that the Sanctuary States do not work with ICE when a criminal is released from a jail. Instead the criminal is released in to communities.
That is the difference.
