What a great message Henry!! I agree with you 100%. We must look at the progress we are making, no matter how big or small. They have every thing to lose, and we have so much to gain. They are losing and we are gaining on them, and PURE COURAGE by continuing to SPEAK TRUTH is going to be the fuel that keeps us going and gets us to the other side! TRUTH IS A LION, you do not need to defend it, it will defend itself.

I would venture to state that many conservatives are in businesses and can't afford to speak out because of the threat of "bricks through windows," or worse. I will also speculate that the "rent a demonstration crowd" don't own a business and are employed by a government related agency (including schools).

One protester expresses freedom of speech and suffers possible loss of livelihood and the other protests and risks nothing. Conservative courage has to be channeled in a less obvious way to be effective; being able to gentle discuss the facts is a valuable choice. Thank you for the piece.

To quote Bonhoeffer, who died for his convictions- “ Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless Not to speak is to speak.

Not to act is to act”

This is courage. Each one of us has the opportunity to share truth with people blinded by lies. This is called being “ salt and light” in a dark and rotting society.

Glad to see the Current doing just that

A most recent example of official silencing happened when "the state" eagerly passed the "medical misinformation" law. This legislation could result in the loss of one's medical license, if the medical practitioner did not conform to a very vaguely defined consensus about "covid".

..........From MedicalEconomics: "Gov. Gavin Newsom signed Assembly Bill 2098*, which designates “the dissemination of misinformation or disinformation related to the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, or ‘COVID-19,’ as unprofessional conduct.” Physicians found doing so could face sanctions from the state’s licensing boards and some news reports described the law as the first of its kind in the nation."...........

*AB 2098 was later overturned by the courts - yet it passed easily through the California Medical Association, the state legislature, and on to Governor Newsom's desk. The preemptive threat of punishment was built into the legislation, should anyone dare demonstrate the courage to protest.

Will this be the face of government-run universal health care?

I went back and read this good article by Mr. Schutle but has one main defect.

I quote "Why have we allowed it to happen? .....The answer is simple; fear of being terrorized, your business destroyed, the safety of your own well-being or coming under attack or being bullied on social media." And more .... "Others have told me they wished they could express their own feelings publicly but couldn’t take the chance of what it could do to their business. In a community such as “liberal” Santa Barbara – where 64% voted Democrat in 2020 – people have a right to be nervous."

Mr Schulte ends with this statement "The courage, in other words, to reclaim our Constitutional rights.

“Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” – Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill did not sit around an throw WORDS at the Nazis they fought them to the death and

this Country is at a very serious crossroads. I do not advocate any violence but when violence and hate is perpetrated against you then you must act. Federal Deprivation of Civil Rights is serious and Hate

Crimes against us is the most serious. Hatred has not place in America.

Liberals (Classic Liberals) were about "live-and-let-live", but that idealistic movement mutated into something that has nothing to do with liberalism, (liberalism being the idea that while America was basically good, as a country, we needed to address the injustices and hypocrisies that were systemic) but as Dinesh D'Souza writes, are "illiberal" ideas. Sure, the Marxist/radicals/whatever term applies were always the Trojan Horse in the mix, but for the most part, what I saw 50+ years ago were people who (now mostly dead) really wanted equality, and for the government to provide a limited role in helping those who fell through, or were pushed through the cracks of life.

Today, we see the mutation--a mutation which has taken over the Democratic Party, the public education, the television media, and the universities. These people who have no idea what its like to experience the systemic racism/oppression of which they speak are nothing more than pro-segregation, self-hating, against the principles which the true civil rights leaders fought for, and the mostly-overlooked fact that they are ageist. These people will deride anyone of a "Certain Age" with "OK Boomer", "Shut up Boomer", "Sit down Boomer", and their other ageist Logan's Run (A reference to a movie from the 1970's where everyone over 30 was considered useless) terms, while not realizing that it is the Boomer generation that were the ones risking their relationships with their familes, their jobs, and in some cases--their lives, as they took to the streets (without setting fire to properties or blocking freeways) in order to gain the rights these indoctrinated Leftists take for granted.

My parents considered themselves liberals, and they among those who stood up for these rights of which I speak, but to quote the actor Mr. T. "Pity the fool" who would dare burn an American flag or the other violent, disrespectful acts of tyranny these spoiled brats engage in, believing it to be "social justice". My parents were in their 80's when they died (2008 and 2012) but interestingly, both of them had grown disillusioned with those who had co-opted the cause they once supported, expressing discontent with both political parties while not giving up their fundamental belief of "To whom much is given, much is expected".

Please don't allow these Latter-Day tyrants, to "re-imagine" history. Avoid extremes.
