On the subject of Palestinian student protesters being deported:

I am an American. I am Jewish. I am pro-Israel. I am pro-Trump.

Therefore; I am firmly against these actions!

Free speech must prevail. As long as it is speech and not assault or intimidation, as distasteful as I may find it, the principles of free speech are our greatest strength.

I am reminded of the fictitious President Shepherd in the movie “The American President” this powerful speech should be just as true for the Trump administration as it was for the Obama administration and whoever was president the last 4 years:

“America isn't easy. America is advanced citizenship. You've gotta want it bad, 'cause it's gonna put up a fight. It's gonna say, "You want free speech? Let's see you acknowledge a man whose words make your blood boil, who's standing center stage and advocating at the top of his lungs that which you would spend a lifetime opposing at the top of yours."

Fundamentally agree. We saw what unilateral censorship did during "covid" and Biden era. However, visas are a qualified privilege; not a license to intentionally and specifically abuse the host country.

I hear ya. My experience with such things is if we give an inch they take a mile. They may be young and naive, here on visas, just guests here and all that; but I would rather they return to their home countries and tell their friends and family about how they were allowed to protest here and criticize our government and make fun of our leaders and that, unlike anywhere else on earth, we didn’t seem to give a shit. That’s power and strength…🤷‍♂️🇺🇸😊

Napoleon presumably said “Never interrupt your enemy when he’s making a mistake.” How right he was. Now’s the time for the GOP to be careful and not get carried away with their _temporary_ overwhelming victory.

The Commie-Dems still have a huge base of dopes who still believe in their BS, and when, (not if), they get their act together they’re going to be a force to be reckoned with. As Republicans let’s be thoughtful, sensible, and do it right - with the right PR we can rule for years!

Good job with the info, Robert. In a nutshell (or a tack box), the Dems believed there was nobody smarter than themselves. This scenario is akin to a box full of sharp tacks containing 348 million tacks, each tack representing a person in the U.S. Dems made three BIG mistakes, (1) not realizing how stupid they really represent themselves as very dull tacks, (2) discovering Trump (the sharpest tack) was layers of intelligence far above all the Democrats in existence and (3) Elon Musk (a very, very sharp tack) would eventually break through all the criminal activity going on within the Federal Government. The Dems thought they were the sharpest tacks in the box because of their stupidity in thinking they could get away with theft or wasteful spending. These were big mistakes, and they will pay in fines and jail time.

James Carville's past history as a "marble mouth" fast talker I found somewhat entertaining. James reminded me of the fast-talking car salesmen such as Ralph Williams or Cal Worthington during my Los Angeles days. Both car salesmen used gimmicks in their TV advertisements. Likewise, I was always listening for gimmicks in James Carville speech. He has slowed down his speech some now at an older age, but he still rattles off a lot of BS.

Aha, so that explains why our recent Christmas holiday sojourn to Solvang found the entire town full of "Asians" (Chinese and Indians - families and solos) with a small smattering of Russians too. All enjoying Solvang immensely, but a surprising totality of Christmas holiday visitor demographics.

Myself being of Scandinavian origins, I should have been photographed as a missing link endangered species sighted by these hordes of new and curious "Asian" Solvang visitors. Here I thought they were visiting just for the almond ring kringle; not the Vandenberg Bermuda triangle.

Also explains the replacement of the venerable Danish knicknack and curio shop on the main corner with a California high-five surf shop. Also explains why one can no longer get a real almond ring kringle in Solvang too. Passing of an era. Still trying to figure how the Boom Boom Tiki Room found a prime place on the Solvang main drag. And were the Turks also recently invited in the mix, just to manufacture their Turkish Delight confectionary base for marijuana gummies?

All of which is a reminder when I first arrived back in California in the 1970's, Solvang was a sad little affair with some planters filled with faded plastic tulips while confusing both Dutch (Deutsch) and Danish.

Yes, the Democratic Party is in full free fall for all to see. The front people for this mob; AOC, Crockett, Jeffries, Omar and Pressley are all involved in a public exercise in idiocy…and it shows! I’ve often wondered why Trump is moving at such an urgent, break neck pace in addressing our vital issues. Wouldn’t it make sense to take a slower and more deliberate approach in enacting controversial programs like DOGE? Then, I’m reminded of what happens in a barroom fight. Typically, you don’t stop swinging until your opponent stops coming at you or the Cops show up. Similarly, with the Dems one must punch them in the face, repeatedly and daily, blooding their noses, keeping them from creating even more havoc and chaos. This is the only technique that keeps them off balance and wondering what is coming next. All while Democrats do what they do best, ie confront, protest, threaten and resist the rest of us who continues to pay the bills and support a strong US economy.

The next 6 months are bound to be tumultuous; the economy, Europe, the Middle East, tariffs, the list goes on. One thing is for certain, Democrats and liberals in general will continue to perpetuate their unhinged, crazed, violent and anti American sociopathy and we on the right need to continue to call them out.

Trump knew Democrats and their still embedded deep state would be in bratty opposition to everything he wanted to do and was mandated by the 2024 voters to change.

So right now he does need to "move fast and break things", so America can also see who and where the ongoing partisan road blocks still exist Plus motivate the Congress to pass enabling legislation in the interest of American voters, who finally got tired of too many years of self-serving Democrat abuse of all our government institutions.

The methodology used by aspiring dictators was an item of focus in my 9th grade social studies class in the 70's. George Orwell's Animal Farm and 1984 were required reading. We studied the MO of the classics: Stalin, Mussolini, of course Hitler, and others, and how they rose to and hung on to power - how the gullible public bought the propaganda, stood back and let it happen We learned to think critically and studied propaganda and other persuasion tools. I had an excellent social studies teacher to have taught in a way to make this dry material relatable to 13-14 year olds. Social studies was my least favorite subject until this year.

The Soviet Union as it existed provided an intriguing real life case study into the effects of the resulting government. Of course, this was a different time. To be a good American, to be a patriot, one needed to display anti-"communist" values (communist, or commie, was the word commonly used to convey followers of the authoritarian government model, or followers of Leninism or Marxism, which mean separate things but blurred together in concept).

Good patriots believed in the US Constitution and abhorred communist governments, communism, or any other threats to the ideals of the US Constitution. The strongest believers were conservative republicans - followers of Christian values and considered to be "good Americans." Stereotypical far left liberals were depicted as "groovy" hippies, some of which believed in Marxist principles (equalizing wealth) but not in Leninist authoritarianism.

Fast forward to the 80's. Gorbachev's promotion of a new way of thinking: glasnost and perestroika (rebuilding and openness) warmed our hearts. The democratic world celebrated in 1989 when the Berlin Wall fell, and not long afterward when the Soviet Union dissolved in 1991.

The world had become freer, more democratic, and now this is all unraveling.

What has happened to our country? Our founding ideals have been turned upside-down and backwards. Watching this unfold through the lens of my 9th grade social studies class, I'm in shock as our First Amendment rights are torched, one by one, while a shocking % of our gullible populace is distracted by wacky conspiracy theories and non-issues, buying the propaganda, and cheering on our aspiring dictator.

Distracted by issues that in reality affect very few people (modern gender/sexuality issues, illegal immigration, Hunter Biden) while autocracy burns our constitution and the world goes up in flames.

It's no surprise that the USA was recently added to the global watchlist for rapid decline in civic freedoms. Our democracy is next in line to fall: https://monitor.civicus.org/watchlist-march-2025/ ..Is anybody here paying attention?

VV: Chill lady......"our dictator"...."our autocracy" .."First Amendment being torched"...... "rapid decline of civic freedoms" I can see making your case for the past four years of the Biden administration; but Trump is finally freeing this country from that long partisan nightmare.

When 17% of 2020 voters claimed they would have changed their vote had they known the real story about the Hunter Biden laptop, its intentional official lies and media suppression was not a "sideline distraction".

BTW: while you were still in Jr High learning about the Cold War, I made my first trip to the Soviet Union to see first hand for myself - who are these people we are spending 50% of our tax dollars to suppress. As always, first hand observations often belie prevailing political dogma.

Trust but verify, continues to be sound advice. Never trust a RINO is right up there with never trust a self-serving Democrat. There was some strange breakthrough this last election since dogma was getting thrown fast and furious from both sides; yet Trump's message resonated with this newly emerging America First majority.

BTW Were you put in a medical coma for the past four years? Asking for a friend, as they say.

Who exactly suppressed the facts about "covid" in 2020? Who suppressed the Frontline Doctors who put out the facts from day one and to this day were never proven to be wrong? When an administration has carry over deep state partisan loyalists personnel like Fauci, Birx et al and you can't get rid of them, and who then they become the media darlings simply because they are celebrated as the "anti Trump", you have the recipe of election year madness.

Brownstone Institute provides a good recap of the "covid" mass hysteria where rights indeed were obliterated in an instant, along with courts acceptance of the ersatz "covid exemption", there remains a lot for all us to still learn about that horrid abuse of both power and the people. Election Year 2020.

You spit facts with panache and style and they bumble around with 'but, but... hamas' and 'Russia man bad' as some attempt at a suave rebuttal. You deserve an award of some type.

Shout out to Eric Gordon though. He commented that despite being pro Israel and pro Trump, he OPPOSES this infringement on free speech, adding that we have to always uphold free speech no matter how much we disagree with it. That, at least, was refreshing to read.

Mr. Eringer,

After getting through the rabbit hole of your renderings, the only thing that made sense was where you say, and I quote “trump reigns supreme. His enemies no longer matter“. Then you write. In his address to Congress, the Democrats, Europe, and Zelensky were reduced to mere sideshows. Paraphrasing Carville: “it’s about Americans, stupid.“. But you were wrong Mr. Eringer, as Americans have also dropped to the wayside. He got what he wanted. The power of the presidency, and who cares about the little people that believed his lies and voted for him, now he’s telling them they might have a little discomfort, temporarily. He and his billionaire friends, don’t care they won’t suffer any discomfort.

Trump does reign, as he believes he is king. His goal was to isolate America from the rest of the world, which he has.

trump is also trying to end free speech. He has banned the AP news from his plane he throws out anyone who speaks anything he doesn’t like. His little hitler press secretary is arrogant and rude, and thinks she’s smarter than anybody else, a real trump disciple. She bans reliable and real journalists from the press room to allow room for TikTok nfluencers that are pro-trump so they can continue to push his rhetoric.
