Too late as I just dropped my ballot off at Election HQ. Not knowing anything about these judges, I left that portion blank! Now embarrassed, I wish I would’ve known.
Yes, MANY judges have amounted to radical activists in black robes. In fact, the argument can be made that the judiciary is no longer a co-equal branch of government and has now evolved into an ongoing body of obstruction to the administration and conservatives in general. And why not, Law Schools have become a breeding ground for leftist ideology. I know this, because one of my daughter’s classmates in law school actually identifies as a “Bunny!”
When one thinks of the numerous recent SHADY rulings which in my view, is tantamount to a conspiracy to bring down Trump! In multiple states and at the federal level, radicals now seem to have their way. Further, the process to remove or impeach corrupt judges is complicated and complex.
US District Judge from Florida, Alcee Hastings comes to mind in which he was impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate for bribery, corruption and fabricating evidence only to be later elected to Congress.
I sure wish you had put this out earlier. With everyone telling us to vote early(not often. like the Democrats) we returned our ballots over the weekend without voting for any of the judges. This is very useful information. and I know I can’t be the only one that could’ve used this information earlier. Please next time see if you could get this out sooner. I, for one, would greatly appreciate it.
James, thank you for this! It was shocking to see that there was no information enclosed in the voter guide? Why have voters vote on something they know nothing about? If judges are to be on the ballot, their records should be included in the voter guide.
Thank you James. Needed some guidance on this as it is very difficult for the average voter to know anything about the judges. Excellent job. Will pass on.
Phew! I voted earlier; I voted NO on every judge. I always do because I know nothing about them. I assume that with the extraordinary power that the Democratic party has and has had in California for years, that most if not all, were their political picks in the first place. Often, three judges have more power to influence our lives than a gaggle of politicians. Putting them up for re-election is a farce. My guess is that many people don't vote for, or against them, because of lack of knowledge. Not voting at all is tantamount to a yes vote, because the democratic majority will always vote yes for the judges.
Thanks James for providing examples of the actions of the judges that it is our privilege, and duty, to accept or reject before they act as "Kings" in their courtrooms.
Thank you, James good sir. The "judge thing" is perhaps the most confusing element on the ballot.... beyond the props. But its impact is significant, as we continue to experience. Who are these people? You've made the introduction through good research. Hopefully many ballots are still waiting to be filled out. But in any case, VOTE! for common sense for God's sake. And ours. John
Please explain to me why the administering of the law of the land is a political appointment. In a healthy country surely the judiciary are chosen on merit? I would like the best legal brain on the bench deciding my case, not the right party. What ever ills are perceived here in California there will be a similar but different imbalance elsewhere in the country. Improve the system.

You simply can’t make this stuff up!

This needs to be posted as the ballots are going out...many of us are ready to vote almost upon arrival.

Thank Goodness I'd already voted NO for all of 'em. Not about to vote "Yes" for anyone I couldn't find anything about.
