Meet and Greet With the Democrat Elite

Wow, there sure was a lot of money on stage in Chicago during the Democrat National Convention (DNC) this past week. There was Illinois Governor Jay Robert Pritzker ($3.6 billion in inherited wealth), Barry and Michele Obama ($200 million is the best guess), Billy and Hillary Clinton (probably another $200 million, maybe more), Nancy Pelosi ($60 million?), Jack Schlossberg ($100 million inherited), and on and on.

Whew. It’s comforting to know that Democrats want to take the money out of politics. And put it in their pockets. Finally!

Here’s what Michele said from the podium:

“[My mom] and my father didn’t aspire to be wealthy. In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed…”

Apparently, “being suspicious of folks who took more than they needed,” means that anyone who accumulates more than, oh, let’s say $200 million or so, is taking “more than they needed” and are worthy of suspicion. Which of course, leaves out the various and sundry gluttonous Democrats worth more than $200 million, including all those creepy, greedy, selfish Democrat billionaires.

I understand completely.

Also learned that there were, oh, about 818,000 less jobs than originally reported having been “created” by the fabuloso Bidenomic machine miracle of creating money out of thin air rather than with the paper/cloth ordinarily used for such purposes. Particularly hard hit was manufacturing. No wonder so many deplorable people believe the U.S. is in recession even as Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris boast about the amazing gob smacking regenerative power of Bidenomics!

Curiously, even though they over-reported U.S. job creation by 818,000, there were a thousand more government jobs “created” than initially reported.

Now, that I believe.

After all, how difficult can it be to “create” a government job if you are the government? You simply throw out the “Help Wanted” sign for as many hires you think will be “required” (you’ll most likely need all of them at least through the first Tuesday of November).

Then, you can print whatever amount of money you need to pay your new employees.

It’s good to be king… ah, queen… ah, I mean president.

I’m no mathematician nor am I an accountant, but I do believe one of the major factors behind the incredible and all-powerful machinations of Bidenomics! is the “creation” of hundreds of thousands, heck, even millions of jobs.

Paying for them, as I’ve said, is easy.

When it was his turn in the barrel, I mean at the podium, former president Obama (using his patented “sincere” look and tone of voice) said he was “feeling hopeful” again now that his party was nominating Kamala Harris for president. Then he blathered on about feckless Joe Biden “putting his own ambition aside for the good of the country.” Not quite sure what he meant by that, as most 81-year-olds probably figure it might be time to retire, which is the only “ambition” that comes to mind.

But, got to give it to Barry; he’s a damned good speaker. Even if it is just mindless bullshit.

Speaking of speakers, Alfred E. “Pete” Buttigieg had a primetime slot, during which he gushed that he was “so excited” to be in Chicago to “capture the energy” of the convention and of the Harris/Walz ticket.

All the Democrat former presidents, first ladies, presidential candidates, and celebrities, along with a bevy of invited speakers, such as Oprah Winfrey, Eva Longoria, Pink, John Legend, the group formerly known as the Dixie Chicks, Spike Lee, Patti LaBelle, and other performers, glowingly praised the new Kamala Harris as the best candidate ever.

The roster of talent did make me wonder where the A-Team Democrat stars of yesteryear – such as Michael Douglas, George Clooney, Cher, et al – were hiding, but hey, no doubt they were lurking around somewhere.

Funny enough, all the speakers cooed excitedly that they’d be “Going Forward” and not – Oh no, never! – “Going Back!”

Of course, “Not going back,” means that Kamala will be re-hiring or at least depending upon pretty much all the Clinton/Obama re-treads from the golden oldie Obama years: David Axelrod, James Carville, David Plouffe, Samantha Powers, Susan Rice, Valerie Jarett….

The list is long.

Good-Bye and Fare Thee Well

The best thing about the Democrat National Convention was the farewell address given by a clueless Joe Biden. Here are just some of the world-class whoppers (Biden is, after all, a topnotch plagiarist) he served up in his going-away appearance:

“On [President Trump’s] watch, the murder rate went up 30%, the biggest increase in history.” A lie.

“Violent crime [under the Biden/Harris team] has dropped to the lowest level of more than fifty years.” Absolutely untrue.

“Trump killed the strongest bipartisan border deal in the history of the United States.” BS of the highest order.

“We know from his own chief of staff, the four-star general John Kelly, that Trump when in Europe would not go to the grave sites, the one of—in France—the brave service members who gave their lives to this country. He called them suckers and losers.” Never happened; who would say such a thing?

“When Trump left office, Europe and NATO was in tatters. Not a joke.” It is/was a joke.

“No commander-in-chief should ever bow down to a dictator the way Trump bows down to Putin.” What crap. This from the sucker who mumbled that if the Russian incursion was small, it would be no big deal.

“Trump wants to cut Social Security and Medicare.” Trump never touched either program and promised not to.

“Donald Trump says he will refuse to accept the election result if he loses again. Think about that. He means it. Think about that. He’s promising a ‘bloodbath’ if he loses, in his words, and that he’ll be a dictator on ‘day one,’ in his own words…. We can’t let that happen.”

Anyone who was paying attention knows the “bloodbath” statement was in reference to what would happen to the U.S. auto industry and the union jobs dependent upon them if China were allowed to build cars in Mexico and export them – tariff-free – to the U.S. And those of us who spend our days awake remember Trump’s joke to Sean Hannity that he’d “only be a dictator on day one” so that he could close the southern border right away. “After that,” he smiled, “I wouldn’t be a dictator.”

Virtually every word Biden spoke when referencing President Trump was false – and he rattled off many more equally tiresome fabrications. But – in the words of Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – “the stenographers for the organs of power” (sometimes referred to as the “mainstream” press) never bother to correct the record.

And, because the record is never corrected there are many people who believe all that (in the words of the inimitable Joe Biden) garbage.

Considering that, I’d like to offer a hearty don’t-let-the-door-hit-you-on-the-way-out fare-thee-well to the outgoing president.

In other words, good riddance to bad rubbish.
