Racism. It’s the no 1 goto for the radical left. When they have no facts or if they just can’t put a coherent sentence together they call you a racist.

Democrats are the party of division.

They create diseases intended to divide people. This DEI is a social disease just like transgenderism.

Social diseases are created like COVID to divide, separate and control the people. Small groups are easier to control & manage than a large cohesive group. Fear is a great shock collar. They create fear in people as a motivator. They purposefully stir the pot trying to create animosity between the people trying to prevent people from coming together.

Don’t fall for it. Remember those who are still open Democrats voting for Kamala are ignorant children from an abusive relationship. How would treat a victim of such abuse? With kindness, not getting angry at them.

Have pity on Democratic Voters, take the time to talk to them in your kind gentle voice. Ask them questions, help them wake up to the abuse & lies they have been enduring.

“Racism “ has become one of the four pillars of liberal ideology. Yes, racism, climate change, abortion and transgenderism make up the vast majority of liberal life and liberal talking points. In fact, racism has become a cottage industry in “lefty world.” American industry has been targeted by this shakedown, in the form of DEI and accounts for millions to the corporate bottomline. Of course, the ultimate is state sanctioned reparations which somehow makes us all feel whole again. That’s right, making whites pay for blacks plight in life, even though they have nothing to do with injustices committed hundreds of years ago!

Racism is used as the ultimate trump card against whites, especially when blacks are to be held accountable. When all else fails…play the race card! Sure, violent crimes, robbing stores, dealing drugs, all due to white supremacy! We hear it all the time. After all, what could be worse than being accused of racism?

Clearly, liberal whites are complicit in promoting this sham and often display a degree of self hatred because of past misdeeds. We see this all the time here locally, being lectured by white, liberal elites, who probably have NEVER lived or worked in the black community.

What about black racism? Clearly, a significant portion of the black population seem to display open hatred and hostility towards whites and make no apologies. Somehow, it is this form of racism which is excused and enabled by the white corporate media. Ever notice how racists like Joy Reed operate against non-compliant, argumentative whites? The conversation immediately seems to get loud, angry and exhibits rage for those whites which dare to question DEI orthodoxy.

ANYTIME a black suspect is killed by police, the racism chants automatically begin. Yet, when blacks commit violent crimes against whites, race is NEVER an issue. Don’t believe it? Try walking in the streets of Compton or Oakland sometime if you happen to be white. I remember one time I got lost in South Central, so I stopped my pickup truck with Texas plates at a gas station for directions (before cell phones). Before I could even utter a word, the attendant asked me “what are you doing here?…you better get out of here now!’ Sure enough a crowd started to form.

Well, whites are getting tired of this and are pushing back. Of course racism in ALL forms is unacceptable, but don’t tell me this while I’m being car jacked!

Ever notice how inner cities which have large black populations, have black mayors , DA’s and police chiefs, are typically modern day hell holes…why is this? White guilt?

I agreed LT…”In fact, racism has become a cottage industry in “lefty world.” They use it to their advantage at every opportunity. Case in point, Kamala Harris claiming to be black to win sympathy & votes. BUT, will the real Kamala Harris ever be known?

Of course, the "anti-racist" (horrible word) strategy is to silence people into submission. It's the ultimate form of bullying. It's used as a means through which to shame, to destroy reputations and livelihoods, and ultimately, to gain total cultural power. That's why in today's political climate, we could easily topple George Washington for a statue of George Floyd. Wouldn't even have to go through a historic landmarks commission, just jetstream through to a mayor's office for blessing. We don't hear about it much any more, but there were two truly vile incidents that took place on SBCC's campus about 5 years ago. Publicly pilloried were 2 female administrators -- 1 white, 1 black -- and both liberal. Within the confines of faculty committee meetings (ironically, oversight for racial incidents), each woman could be accused of saying something racially insensitive, but not grounds for the community-wide humiliation and threats they endured: the white woman saying the "N-word" within quotation marks; and historically ignorant / insensitive, the black woman claiming that unlike blacks, Japanese-Americans could have walked away from the WWII internment camps. Both incidents could have been, ought to have been, handled in group discussion within the confines of the meeting room. That's not what happened. Instead, a faculty member or members exploited the moment, took it public including to the local press and media, and demanded the women be fired. AND COLLEAGUES WERE SILENT. The only folks who should have been sacked, those who exploited the moment for political gain. For the record: I did speak out on the public record for both women, individuals I have never met.

Amazing how before obum we all had reached another level of gettin' along.

And I get ill hearing 'feeling unsafe' around someone who has a differing point of view. What do they think that person will do? Funny how so many on the left CALL for violence against conservatives yet run to their safety pin safe place when someone asks tough questions.

Hi Monica - welcome to this part of the Santa Barbara media world. I've been enjoying your husband Jeff's comments. Now I know you edit his writing, I'll express my one criticism: you both should be taking Hillary's mandate that the media needs to have a “consistent narrative about the danger Trump poses” more seriously!

I love your line about DEI scholars “as if the meaning in their arguments derived from the DEI buzzword count.” You're right, they're not very smart, except at getting cushy posts like Robin DiAngelo has.

Fun to read a movie review in SB Current. I'm partial to film critics since a famous one introduced me to my husband.

I read this article by M & J Barton titled "Racists On the Loose"

"Now in DEI Expert character, and armed with his certification, Walsh

sets out to expose the absurdity of the DEI movement."

Many have no real first-hand experience in Racism which is really

Discrimination that can lead to HATRED. Jewish, African Americans,

the Gay Community have been targeted and Killed because of

this HATRED towards them ..............

Politicians will mis-use this Discrimination/Hatred just to get ELECTED

or MAKE THIER TALKING POINTS as shown in this article.

You cannot really know of this HATRED unless it comes to you first-hand

Pray to God that you are never a target of those that Discriminate

and use HATRED. Not only is this a violation of the US Constitution

but also a serious Federal Crime that is investigated by the FBI >>>

https://www.fbi.gov/investigate/civil-rights/hate-crimes

And I quote "Hate crimes are the highest priority of the FBI’s civil rights

program because of the devastating impact they have on families and

communities. "Traditionally, FBI investigations of hate crimes were limited

to crimes in which the perpetrators acted based on a bias against the

victim’s race, color, religion, or national origin. In addition, investigations

were restricted to those wherein the victim was engaged in a federally

protected activity. With the passage of the Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr.,

Hate Crimes Prevention Act of 2009, the Bureau became authorized to also

investigate crimes committed against those based on biases of actual or

perceived sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or gender."

What would it take to remove the illegal George Floyd “I can’t breathe” mural from the full side of the building on East East Haley Street?

City spent a great deal of time with the public crafting an agreed sign ordinance. At the time, the building owner claimed this clear violation would only be temporary. But there it remains.

What is the process to make this large public mural legal? What prevents other residents from having a free for all painting what ever they choose on their own property in full public view. Does this illegal mural now stand for the public’s fear of being called a racist?

Make it legal or get it gone.

Great article. What really proves to me that Dems/liberals are not truly sincere in their causes is that they NEVER will support their BS with their OWN money!!!! They take our tax money.

If they could only use their personal money, NONE of their BS would ever see the light of day.

Just look at the FEMA money Stolen by the Dems and used to pay for flights, rooms, housing, medical, cell phones, cash handouts etc to ALL the illegals they BROUGHT into our country illegally. Then they have the audacity to say there is NO MONEY for OUR Citizens in dire straights from the hurricane!! And do for get how they turn a blind eye to our Vets!!!!

Good Article…the Ds (and company) are playing up the race card like never before because they are in deep panic…the polls show that Trump now has +20% of the black vote, and they know they can’t win if they don’t capture all but 10%…

Why do D’s want to control the black pop? Why do they intentionally keep poor and in need? Why do D’s project RACISM on a daily basis against R’s? Why do black elected officials do the crazy talk on behalf of D’s? How do D’s cover the historical facts of forming the confederacy, KKK, and oppose all things pro black re: legislation? What happens if D’s lose the slave grip on the black pop? Why do D’s, through the funding of the CIA, prop up and install Hollywood/media assets? Does this fall within Operation Mockingbird? What were the historical advantages D’s gained by having MSM and famous people peddling narrative?

Good article, witty and also thought provoking. Matt Walsh is a genius at letting people make fools of themselves and showing what a scam "playing the race card" is. When I hear the term "hate crime" I always wonder how an emotion like hate or love for that matter can legally be used in a court of law to determine guilt of a crime. If you robbed and killed a person because you wanted their money, how would that be any better or worse than if you killed a person because you just didn't like them? Anyhow Jeff and Monica, enjoyed reading your column.

Why ask why? Why are Federal hate crimes overwhelmingly brought against whites? Why are blacks rarely if ever charged with these crimes? Why was the Nashville transgender mass shooter never charged with hate crimes? This, despite they/them/their manifesto professing hatred for Christians. Why has this never been made public?

For four decades I have specialized in Celtic and Pictish tattooing, what I think of as "White guy tribal". Nowadays it is sometimes mistakenly considered racist and aligned with the Aryan brotherhood to be enthusiastic about Christian motifs and Irish-positive symbols like the shamrock. I view it as one of the few ways left that a person of the paler persuasion can be enthusiastic about their heritage. While other races can call out "cultural appropriation" when tattoo enthusiasts want to acquire historic symbols of these other ethnic groups, White folks are branded with the racist tag if they celebrate their own heritage. I persist, bringing alive the art of my ancestors in skin. www.LuckyFish.com

Your post reminds me of a 10 year old when viewing a local storefront sign that read: “Latino insurance”. The child asked if there were stores for “white insurance” and “black insurance”. Years later I was asked by an older teen: “Tell me the difference between prohibiting a trans from using a woman’s locker room and historic separations. It seems similar to historically prohibiting a black from using a white locker room.” I replied a person doesn’t choose their race or gender at birth. As an adult if you choose to modify yourself into a different gender, you’ve chosen to deviate from the norm. As such, is society — are taxpayers — obligated to accommodate that person’s decision to claim a gender change which is scientifically impossible? I can tolerate or respect every person’s right to choose but it’s wrong to require me — others — to pay to accommodate, accept or to be otherwise impacted by any other citizen’s rightful choice. A person doesn’t choose their DNA makeup or chromosomes.

My only comment on the tattoo subject is that whatever you have inked into your skin, you should consider 2 issues-

1) what if your views change, or the love of your life changes?

2) medically, one should research the long term consequences of what these dyes might do to your future health. The green ones seem top of the possibly harmful list. By the way, I loved the artwork you sent us! I’m going to put it on my wall.

1) I am adept at cover-ups ! They leave healthy skin (not scars as removals do) and you go on with your changed self and self-image.

2) I use tattoo pigments, not dyes. The "problems" you may have read about are the result of a market flooded with Chinese inks, available to anyone, and often contaminated. I buy from reputable suppliers I have patronized for decades.

3) I'm pleased you like it. The cross is an original design I created using elements in the O'Connor high cross in the Ballinasloe graveyard in County Galway, Ireland, carved in the early 19th century by two generations of stonemasons in honor of their patriarch. It was a custom commission for his great-great-grandson, who had it tattooed in August on his arm.

You don't need to get a tattoo, Pat, they may not be for everybody. I have no tatts, but I do wear a mjolnir (Thor's hammer) to honor my Jute ancestors and Norse heritage - another culture misappropriated by the Nazis, skinheads, and haters.
