Silence is Golden

Note to the President-Elect: Silence is Golden

Mr. Trump, please keep your words to a minimum.

The time to share your ideas will come when you are president.

Until then it may be preferable to remember to apply the First Law of Motion of Sir Isaac Newton, (1642-1726), that “an object at rest will remain at rest,” or simply stated an object will resist changes in its state of motion unless a force compels it to change. This applies especially to the sitting president (Joe Biden) and to all members of the Biden administration.

Please wait until you are President Donald J. Trump to become the force that compels the changes that will help Americans.

Football Analogy

Consider that until your inauguration the Biden-Harris team has the ball and is studying your defense to decide which plays to run to preempt your strategic moves.

As has been evident for some time, the coaches who run the Democrat team, Nancy Pelosi and Charles Schumer, disqualified quarterback Biden from leading their team, and backup quarterback Harris has never even suited up. The Democrat team has been – and will continue to be – led by its junior varsity, also known as the B Team.

The Democrat team’s approach to this transitionary period, however, is like the illustrated Spy vs. Spy strip that appeared regularly in Mad magazine, which played out thusly: whatever action was taken by one spy would be immediately opposed by the other spy.

Transitionary Time

During this period of transition, one might say the Biden-Harris team’s approach is to apply Newton’s Third Law of Motion – “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction” – to every proposal of President-Elect Trump.

Here Are a Few Examples

President-Elect Trump has proposed that since only six percent of federal employees come to the office a full five days a week, presence at their government offices should be required. The immediate reaction? The Biden team negotiated a contract clause with the 42,000-member American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) union (all of whom work for the Social Security Administration) that would protect all 42,000 members’ ability to continue to work from home until 2029.

Result: Unless overturned, the public will receive less service; that agreement would also stymie Trump’s new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from successfully implementing its mandate.

The Border Wall

Biden’s team, after allowing the specially constructed steel portions of the border wall taxpayers had previously bought sit unattended for four years, has been auctioning it off for pennies on the dollar.

Result: taxpayers – who have already paid for everything that had been constructed – will have to pay for replacement reenforced steel segments, while seeing the wall they voted for delayed.

Close the Border

Biden’s team authorized 1,500 people a day to use their U.S. government-approved “app” to enter the U.S.

Result: 1,500 a day for 30 days is another 45,000 unvetted individuals wandering around our country.

The Russia-Ukraine War

Trump has promised to bring both sides to the bargaining table and to end the conflict. Biden’s team’s response? After four years of saying “No,” authorized Ukraine to use U.S. weaponry to bomb inside Russia.

Result: Thousands have lost their lives and Russia said it would consider using nuclear weapons.

Let the Public Decide

President-Elect Trump announced he is favor of allowing the public to purchase the vehicles of their choice, either electric or internal combustion.

Result: The Biden team’s EPA, on December 19, 2024, approved California’s proposal to phase out gas cars.

Result: Thirty-five percent of new cars and light duty trucks sales in California to be zero-emissions by 2026 and must achieve 90% below current emissions by 2027. Coincidence: that is the year after Newsom leaves office.

Iran’s Nuclear Push

President-Elect Trump said he would, again, use economic pressure to reduce Iran’s ability to finance disruptions and produce a nuclear capability.

Biden’s team responded by giving Iran another $10 billion.

Result: Iran will be financially able to continue its anti-American agenda.

Vaccination Truths

President-Elect – through Robert F. Kennedy Jr. – indicated his team would search for the truth about vaccinations.

Biden’s team responded by extending liability protections for Covid-19 vaccine manufacturers, healthcare providers, and other related parties through 2029.

Result: the manufacturers were already protected, so it appears the Biden team is trying to create immunity through the Trump presidency for other related parties that may include those in federal agencies who illegally enforced sanctions against those who declined to be vaccinated.

U.S. Troops in Syria

President-Elect has indicated that he does not want any U.S. troops in Syria.

Pentagon Press Secretary Major General Pat Ryder, after saying there were 900 troops in Syria, admitted on December 19, 2024, that “We’ve recently learned that those numbers were higher” as there are about 2,000 U.S. troops in Syria.

Result: the truthfulness of the Pentagon saying “we’ve recently learned” is questionable, as the U.S. is being drawn into another war zone.

Out With DEI

President-Elect has indicated he will cancel the federal government’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs.

Result: In the ten days following the election, the Biden-Harris team posted 33 DEI positions while recruiting up to 1,200 employees to fulfill DEI initiatives. These high-paying jobs include FDIC postings at $310,000 and at Health and Human Services for $221,900. The total amounting to an estimated $160 million annually.

Silence Really is Golden

President-Elect Trump, please take advantage of Newton’s First Law of Motion and let sleeping dogs lie, because your ideas are stimulating the “other” team to apply Newton’s Third Law of Motion and oppose your ideas.

Until the inauguration, let the words of Leo Tolstoy – “Speech is silver, but silence is golden” (War and Peace) – be your operative strategy.
