The Joys [and Responsibility] of a Right to Carry Permit

I had written in the past how my life was threatened because of expressing my opinion. The intolerant left hates when you don’t agree with them. So much so, they’re willing to kill over it.

The upside is that it got me a Concealed Carry Weapons permit (CCW) in a county where they’re as rare as a red-legged frog.

I love having the right to carry arms. However, if for some stupid reason I was dragged into a protest or an event where military, police, or ICE, are trying to do their job and found myself inadvertently getting a little too close to the action, I would raise my hands and announce I was carrying, and back away. Though what I would really do is not get into such a situation in the first place. I value that America, for now, still upholds our second amendment rights, but you need to use your brain when exercising that right.

As an average Joe Citizen, I’m required to renew my CCW every two years. On my last go-round my instructor used this incredible life-like simulation system. He would load up numerous situations dealing with various armed suspects, women included, and it was up to me to determine when to discharge my firearm, if at all. If I did so too early, or it wasn’t considered justified, it would let me know.

I treated those exercises like real-life experiences. I could look directly into the faces of the suspects. I could demand they drop their weapon. In all cases, I waited until the last second before I deemed it necessary to shoot. I double-tapped my targets every time and was 100% warranted for my decisions. In some cases, my instructor played back the video and showed me it would have been legally acceptable had I fired even sooner.

I was in a comfortable darkened room, quiet environment, using digital bullets. If I made a mistake I wasn’t going to die or get injured.

Defending Oneself Under Chaotic Circumstances

Now place yourself in a sketchy situation, under massive pressure, surrounded by people screaming, blowing whistles, yelling, and all of them are possible threats on your life, and then see how easy it would be.

You’re already dealing with the knowledge that local officials have put a bounty on your head, the local police don’t have your back, and everyone around you is vomiting hate. They really want you dead. You’re surrounded by a mob mentality that has lost all common sense.

A guy enters the fray you’ve had a previous encounter with. He already has it out for you. He’s carrying a gun. Your head is processing dozens of things swirling around you like a swarm of bees. Complete chaos. You must make split -second decisions. You don’t have the luxury of stalling because you’re not playing a video game that won’t shoot back. Right or wrong, you must react in a blink. If you don’t, it could be your life, your partner’s or for that matter stray bullets hitting bystanders. You can’t second guess under such extreme pressure. Time is your enemy.

I learned Pretti was using a Sig Sauer P320, notorious for misfiring. Some say the gun may have gone off. If that turns out to be the case, I would have unleashed without hesitation on the target myself.

For all you smug know-it-alls who make rash judgements from the warmth of your home, your Podcast, your mansion in Hawaii, your Hollywood breakfast club, or from the bully pulpit of being some “rock star,” that you would know better under those conditions; you’re a liar. You have no clue. No idea. My guess is most of you would wet your pants and flee.

Arguing whether ICE should be doing its job in the first place, the answer is emphatically yes. How did defunding the police work out? The proof is in the pudding, as they say. Crime has dropped dramatically, and you should all be grateful. But no, Trump was the cure, and your hatred can’t give credit where it’s due.

They Know Not What They Do

Some 75 million voters asked Trump to remove the millions who broke into America. ICE should be everywhere and continue full steam ahead removing all of Biden’s criminal bedfellows out of our back yard. We need to do some serious housecleaning.

A faction of crazies and sociopolitical malcontents won’t fix the problem by carrying signs and screaming. The criminals love you guys. They’re rooting for you. They can’t believe you’re fighting on their behalf. We have a few more people to kill and women to rape and more money to steal from Americans. Get us some pom poms.

It’s been written that Jesus’s final words on the cross were, “Forgive them father for they know not what they do.”

That’s what’s happening in this country right now.

Nurses are telling us how to go about using chemicals to harm ICE. California wants to pass a law preventing ICE agents from getting jobs. Hollywood wants you to go door to door and ask your neighbor what team they’re on?

What team?

We have to form teams now?

For all of you who got suckered thinking the Minneapolis uprising was only about ICE, bad on you. Minnesota was coming under investigation for one of the largest fraud scams in history. The timing of the protest orchestrators was perfect to deflect from the investigation. I only hope Trump and his team don’t allow this well-funded and well-planned distraction to take away from bringing down all the thieves responsible.

Finally, why do the anti-Americans feel the need to pull schoolkids into their insanity?

Would they be equally as inclined to allow children to leave their classrooms to march for Trump?

I can’t wait to see what the next protest is going to be about.
