I agree with the points made in the article. For me, the clearest example of our failings was seeing the excuses, rationalizations, justifications, and celebrations for the murder committed by Luigi Mangione. Berney
Agree that the virtues a rules to live by in the Bible are key underpinnings of the American foundation. The lack of focus on the nuclear family under that construct has also been responsible for the current state of Us. When is the last time the media has celebrated families and how they anchor us all? I remember shows like Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, The Nelson’s, etc etc…. These provided examples of what great families look like. Of course we all wanted our families to be like those, they never were, but that’s not the point. Today, whenever there is the rare family the focus is warped. So, whenever I see a nuclear family today ai make sure to compliment them on how beautiful it is, and tell them the future is in their hands…..good article..
