The Ten Woke Commandments

Moses returned from Mt. Sinai with the Ten Commandments given to him by the Author of Life. They have formed the moral basis of all great civilizations since, and when they are rejected, bad things follow.

A new religion has arisen in the Western world, a world in which those ten commandments have no place. Its church fathers are experimental psychologists Their temples are the nation’s public schools. Its high priests are the DEI administrators at the Department of Education.

Author Jonathan Dunphy revealed the new faith in his essay entitled “A Religion for a New Age,” originally published in the January-February 1983 issue of The Humanist magazine.

He informs us:

“The battle for humankind's future must be waged and won in the classroom by teachers who correctly perceive their role as the proselytizers of a new faith: A religion of humanity – utilizing a classroom instead of a pulpit to carry humanist values into wherever they teach. The classroom must and will become an arena of conflict between the old and the new – the rotting corpse of Christianity, together with its adjacent evils and misery, and the new faith of humanism."

This new religion does have its own Woke Ten Commandments, but they run nearly opposite to the Judeo-Christian tradition. They are as follow:

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before the holy trinity of “ME,” “MYSELF,” and “I.” 

Renowned psychologist Paul C. Vitz proffers that the United States is the most polytheistic nation in the history of the world, with over 300 million gods. The public schools aid and abet the deification of our children by self-esteem building, SEL programs, and the above referenced rejection of the “rotting corpse of Christianity.”

2. Thou shalt never take the gods’ pronouns in vain.

Each of the 300 million gods insists upon unique pronouns and honorifics. Misnaming, misgendering, deadnaming, and butchering pronouns, are all potential hate crimes deserving of profound contrition and penance. 

3. Thou shalt honor Pride celebrations. 

The proliferating holy days in the Pride calendar are given strict adherence in our public schools. As can be seen here, the holy days of obligation dedicated to the celebration of same-sex relationships and identity politics are more than double the holy days in the Christian calendar.

4. Thou shalt dishonor thy father and mother

The New religion recognizes the need to separate children from the values of Christian homes. The schools convince children that parents are evil, and homes are prisons from which they must be liberated by a rejection of traditional morality and an embrace of the woke ten commandments.

5. Thou shalt kill

The new religion is the culture of death wherein the willful murder of innocents is instituted under the guise of “women’s health care” and an expanding euthanasia movement. Reputations and livelihoods are eradicated by cancel culture for those who do not adhere to the tenets of the new religion.

6. Thou shalt commit adultery

Infidelity, promiscuity, and perversion are asserted as good in the new church. The command to celebrate various sex acts, polyamory, and multiplying objects of attraction, makes sexual license a basic human obligation and adultery a rite of passage.

7. Thou shalt steal

Capitalism and free exchange are mortal sins in the woke church. Social justice and the worship of the state require a redistribution of wealth that punishes the virtuous and privileges the vicious. Institutional theft takes the form of new tithing at over 50% of income, looting as reparations, and a guaranteed minimum wage as an entitlement.

8. Thou shalt bear false witness against thy neighbor

The new church asserts countless lies about race, gender, and virtue. Children are groomed to inform on their parents and one another for breaking the Woke Commandments.

9. Thou shalt covet thy neighbor’s wife

The sexual grooming through “comprehensive health programs” (sex ed) promotes the “love is love” ideology that would be more properly named lust is lust. Sexual appetites and attractions are elevated to the highest good and as such it becomes a mortal sin to deny one’s covetous desires.

10. Thou shalt covet thy neighbor’s goods

The vices of envy and greed undergird the social programing of the woke public schools. Children are taught that any disparity in wealth or surplus of goods are ill-gotten gains that must be returned to their rightful owners: the oppressed who feel the lack.

The new religion is particularly strong here in Santa Barbara. Even so, not all those employed by the new church embrace its religious dogma. If Santa Barbara teachers are honest, however, they will admit that all ten woke commandments are implicit in current curriculum and methodology. Sadly, many teachers do embrace the woke commandments and spend every day brainwashing our children with them.

The Woke Ten Commandments are as sinful as the True Ten Commandments are holy. It will not be nearly enough to counter their influence by posting the true Ten Commandments in our public schools; that would be like posting good behavior rules in a psych ward.

A pushback has begun; Louisiana now requires the original Ten Commandments be posted in every public school in the state. It will take more, much more, however, to eradicate the counterfeit Ten Woke Commandments.

But it’s a start.
