The Pandemic became the Darkest period of my life and Vocation. Being a “no Vaccine” guy, I became an angry owner/operator of Mission Villa, an Alzheimer’s facility. Mandates that soon evolved were many and conflicting since they came from different agencies. My elders were to be immediately vaccinated, as I was mandated to be. Refusal to “take the shot(s)” meant loosing my license! How I trained my caregivers in the care and management of the residents was turned upside-down! Caregivers and I were forced to wear masks, gloves and gowns. What is extremely important to the residents is their recognition, however diminished, of their caregivers who need to administer necessary life services, feeding, clothing, toileting etc. It became Halloween with residents unable to recognize their once trusted caregivers. Another important component of care of this population was visitation of relatives, forget that! Once the “Pandemic” narrative was established, my fiduciary responsibility was to ensure the safety of my residents. About a month of the beginning of the Pandemic, I held a meeting of all caregivers. All but 1 of my staff (16), were of Hispanic decent. I faced multiple problems with their situations. 1. The high cost of living forced families into very high occupancy living. 2. The family members circulated from multiple jobs to keep “afloat”. 3. Due to this combination, they could become “breeding grounds “ for the virus.

The meeting had a mandate! These caregivers could only work for me! In order to enforce “my mandate” was to allow extended shifts and pay raises, it worked! During the course of the Pandemic, I had 2 staff report Covid that were isolated and no residents!

It had been mentioned the “toilet paper” hoarding. TP was a small necessity caring for this population! Diapers, gloves, masks, gowns and other necessities including food became scarce and expensive.

During the Pandemic, 2 of my favorite residents died, one just shy of 100, the other 93. The mandated imposed by all governing agencies disallowed the honoring of these magnificent women by their families.

Without the abilities to care for my residents as our Mothers and Fathers with the honor and love they deserve, I knew that upon the conclusion of the Pandemic, I would retire, I did.

Please keep this as a blind comment.

As an Allied Heath Professional, researcher, I was reluctant at the beginning to have the binary shots. Because of my employment I was required to have the shots or be fired.

Within 6 months I had two gallbladder attacks that led to it being removed. Shortly after that I started having issues of lack of endurance, I now have a PVC, that appears to have increased in severity. Less than 5 months ago my PSA shot through the roof, and I have had my prostrate removed. Why because of a diagnosed virulent cancer. Prior to the government lies by the F Doctor and an unnecessary shut down of the nation I was in excellent health.

It appears my life expectancy will be cut short by a minimum of a decade. My quality of life has suffered dramatically and I lay it directly at the feet of the idiot Democrat Party and lies from NIH.

These "Troubling Truths" include the medical community and big Parma, doing irresponsible experiments in China that is a Communist Dictatorship.

Everyone of the progressions of my health deterioration follows the overriding pattern of lousy medicine, and outcomes, and has been defended by the National Democrat Establishment.

My level of disgust, anger and absolute last level of trust I have with Big Pharma, politicians and in particular the Democrats at all levels is complete.

So the next time the Democrats in Sacramento, the County or City level tell you "trust us" it is in your best interests; run to the nearest exit. It makes no difference at what level, from density infill, cars, education or take 2 aspirin etc.

If you trust them you deserve every bad thing that happens to you.

Don't forget about Dr. Scott Atlas, a fellow at the Stanford University Hoover Institution, who became Trump's Covid advisor. He was forced out by other members of Trump's Covid Task force (Fauci, Birks, Adams) because he dared to criticize statewide restrictions and public health mandates. Trump ultimately backed Fauci over Atlas.

Excellent recap of the pandemic and the USA and media’s poor responses on so many levels.

Thank you Dr Aijian for standing for truth, for allowing dialog in discussing pros and cons without censoring others, and thank you for saving my life!!! Yep, you did! Even before all the false information was disseminated to the world. You were faithful in protecting your patients and causing them No Harm. Forever grateful for you and your amazing team!

I read the only really negative comment on my article, from another doctor. I think that doctors who promoted the covid vaccine, and continue to do so, have a predicament. As the evidence grows of the damage these vaccines have done, doctors must ask themselves if they made a mistake. Doubling down on a bad choice seems to be the current plan. Hopefully, some independently thinking docs will finally admit the error they made, and reverse course. The failure to do so will only further erode the trust people have in the medical profession. This is sad.

I remain puzzled by a few very early and seemingly unconnected precursors to what rapidly became the 2020 "global covid hysteria": (1) The Great Toilet Paper Hoarding Hoax imported to the US from Australia, which did in fact need to worry about toilet paper supplies from China; (2) the global hysteria narrative similarities as presented in the movie "Contagion" (staring Matt Damon and Gwyneth Paltrow); (3) local political operatives on edhat immediately introducing an alleged Bergamo (Italy) Hospital documentary about early covid patients in extremis, should anyone dare question the emerging "covid is the zombie apocalypse" narrative

This trifecta quickly reinforced the hysteria first narrative about "covid"; before we actually knew anything factual about it at all. The die was cast and "covid" quickly became a political hot potato, election year 2020.

Hysteria first, facts or questions later if they were ever allowed from this early point forward. The hand of censorship was immediate, swift and absolute. Most troubling after trillions of dollars of global dislocations, did we ever learn anything more about "covid" than we had already observed as ultimately a relatively benign event from day one on the Diamond Princess cruise ship? I personally threw my hat in with the Great Barrington Declaration about "covid", since it made the most sense to me.

I'm wondering if any treatment at all was needed for the large majority of patients? Seems to be more and more data coming in showing that time and again the treatment was worse than the disease. And of course the large majority of cases were simply false positives due to widespread screening (at low background prevalence of the disease, which was the case throughout the pandemic even during "spikes") of asymptomatic people, is guaranteed mathematically to yield mostly false positives. This dynamic led to increased fear and panic and a widespread notion of treatment being needed for even people who were not actually sick. https://www.bmj.com/content/373/bmj.n1411/rr

As always time counts for everything. You have had the time and many of us have had the time to rethink what was being "mandated". Unfortunately at that time we were all doing what we could to hopefully 'kick this Covid" situation. Now that we can look back and see the ramifications it should be time to educate ourselves on what we should do "next time". Surely, next time will come.
