Bonnie, your our resident city sleuth reporting the oftentimes never reported facts with honesty and respect. You are a treasure--congrats to team-Current for executing on an idea and expanding our Public Square. Bravo and Brava! I think Kenneth Kaye had it right "Two heads are better than one only if they contain different opinions". Thank you.
I totally agree. SBC has been an invaluable new source over the last two years. It is my daily dose of sanity and helps me realize that not everyone that lives in Santa Barbara are crazy. After being suspended from the next-door app numerous times, they finally banned me altogether for discussing nothing more than the topics on hand and interjecting a little common sense. The current leaves me a space for true discussion/conversation, something that is sorely lacking in any other format in the city. I hope there is a way to bring more eyes/clicks to the site because the information is so important for an informed populous.
I really enjoy swinging by the Santa Barbara Current on a regular basis, to keep in touch with local happenings, including the collections of comments by intelligent people with different points of view, most which see the behind-the-scenes movements at local, national & world levels, beyond the headlines & noise of our shared reality. Good to connect with people who are waking up as we travel along the path of The Great Awakening!
Thanks to Bonnie Donovan for all the hard work (our “woman about town”). Thanks to Jim Buckley & his crew for making it happen. And, of course, special thanks to the contributing authors for well written articles of topical interests.
I want to personally thank all of you at The Santa Barbara Current. If I couldn't read you every morning along with listening to V.D. Hanson, Larry Elder, Laura Ingraham... I most certainly would have lost my mind watching the DEMOcRATS ruin my/our state. Keep up the excellent work.
I love Santa Barbara Current, I lived in Lompoc for 3 years and started reading it I now live in Rescue in Northern California but still look forward to reading this and I tell all my friends and family to read this if they care about California. Thanks keep it up.
Thanks so much for the great writing - I never miss a word and I do share with friends in the rest of the country - who love it as well! Of course, I agree with every article and my only wish is that we had such talented and aggressive writers telling it like it is in my area of Irvine/Tustin, in Orange County. Let the truth be known and shout it out - never, ever give up!
How wonderful to know the numerical statistics of success. Providing a forum for the people who find community online because in "real life" speaking about so many of the issues discussed here risks friendships when those with the woke mind virus can't engage in dialogue anymore. I am proud to contribute.
Thanks Bonnie, for providing the opportunity to offer congratulations to all involved in creating, maintaining and improving SBCurrent. I would also like to convey my appreciation of the often thought provoking comments to my articles.
Congratulations to Bonnie, James and Jim, for telling it as it is, calling balls and strikes and opening the stifling local news bubble to conservative views.
Good show.
CAB Board says thanks SB Current.
Congratulations to the founders and thank you for providing a balanced forum!
A place where snarky comments are not the norm.
Even the opposition is more polite when they take their shots.

Hard to argue that much dialogue occurs when most share the same opinions here - more of a safe space than anything.
Humbug.
Sure.

Thank you for allowing voices of different views.
Every other local media is biased and dies not allow opposing views or discussions.
Thank you for blazing a path to freedom of speech, a novel concept in this country.
Everyone ... keep up the good work!
Your success shows we on the more conservative side are not alone, as the legacy media tries to make it seem so.
Congratulations!!
Congratulations and thanks!
