I am thankful that Henry is such a great writer and that he shares his wisdom and insight with us regularly. Enjoy Thanksgiving because this year we have much to give thanks for.
Can you feel it ? Everywhere I look I see a new, fresh, and GOD inspired spiritual awakening. Our youth are not afraid to speak out about the things that have been haunting them over the past four years. Parents are forming coop home schools to snatch their kids away from the left's agenda, and even churches are feeling increased attendance and participation. We are blessed the Almighty has given us (another) opportunity to "get it right". Let's not blow it (again). We bless Israel, we bring GOD back into our personal and public lives, and we watch Him work. And this year I am especially thankful there exists a forum that one may express their conservative views without being attacked. Bless all of you. Happy Thanksgiving...
Thank you for expressing all that we are thinking of late. Truly another “morning in America!” However, this time, with the team he has picked, and the help of the great Elon and Vivek, we may see the greatest true government reform, for the better, ever seen in our history. God bless Trump and all his team. USA, USA!
Well said and I am thankful to get our country back. The election definitely was a nail biter and I am thankful the American people saw through all the BS. So much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving.... Indeed...
Henry, exactly what we have been anxiously anticipating. It will take some time to right the wrongs but we can look forward to a bright future. At that point those on the Left should have awakened.
We are conditioned—by political parties—to believe that politicians are important people, worthy of hero worship, and that elections should consume our emotional focus and commitment. Then Thanksgiving comes along and reminds us that politicians and elections are ephemeral and generally beneath contempt, and that what really counts in the long run are family, friends and the opportunity to share a meal with each one other. Put the ephemeral aside and focus on the real. Enjoy your Thanksgiving with family and friends.
I am especially thankful for Mr. Trump, if not for him all of this would not be possible. What I continue to struggle with is the dysphoria that liberals continue to display. It amazes me how many STUPID people live in our state and continue to deny what just took place in our last election. Talk about election deniers! They continue with liberal defiance despite what reality is. Our once golden state has suffered tremendously due to failed liberal policies. What is so hard to understand? This organized “resistance” to deporting known illegal criminals is nothing less than treachery. The Trump administration needs to come up with HARSH penalties for states and individuals which defy federal law by harboring or enabling wanted criminals! Start by withholding federal funding to sanctuary cities and if necessary, jail mayors and others that stand in the way of securing our country!
What I find most amazing is how liberals think of themselves as intellectual or sophisticated by virtue of their worldly view. Just simply look at immigration laws of other countries in the EU. When my daughter, applied for a Spanish student visa, she was required to have $8k in a Spanish bank, clean health, credit and criminal background checks in order to stay for a maximum of 2 years. Clearly, conservatives just need to go about the business of restoring our great country and ignore the whiney, malicious noise from the left.
Very interesting hearing about what Spain required of your daughter, and that was just for a 2 year student visa!
Your other point . . ." HARSH penalties . ." by the Feds - is definitely the answer. There's only one thing that will work with the Commie-Dems - m-u-s-c-l-e, and I hope Trump and the gang are prepared to dish it out.
Henry, I respect your writing but this line “ I was driving home the day of election and admittedly nervous about the outcome. I was telling myself the election had never been about Trump or Kamala” is utter nonsense. It was completely about Trump. People voted *for* Trump and that's what made his winning such an event. And if you don't get that then I honestly can't take another word you write on politics seriously.
I think for CA Governor the Republicans need a Vance, someone not from the coast but from Stockton or Modesto who¡s of those people and speaks to them but can stare down the coastal Dems. That guy would become gov here in a landslide.
PS: MTG was a sleeper. Getting to know her beyond the initial Media cartoon version of her, one finds a very intelligent, very articulate and very committed individual.
However, your own MTG slurs are a yawn. Hope you put up that county map of the Trump sweep across this nation -80% red, and only a few failing urban concentrations stayed blue. That 80% of the nation's land mass are the people you need to get to know better, if you truly want to know the "natural fit of Trump supporters".
She might not bat a hundred all the time, but she does dig into stuff and comes up with interesting things. She's a Georgia gal in my district. When a person is out there like her, she's going to win some and lose some. But she wins enough for me. When she corners someone, she goes for the jugular.
This is the most cynical, mean-spirited, divisive Thanksgiving tribute I’ve ever read! It says everything about You and not the people you so deride. It’s simply mean. Over half the country did not vote for Trump. He did NOT win in a landslide as he’d like everyone to believe. Is there any way to heal as a community? If there is, this is not the way forward. Please try to take a breath and think of us as ALL kindly. I will do that this Thanksgiving. Happy Holidays.
You know Elaine, you seem to thrive on acting like the victim all the time. Had the election been decided with Ms. Harris the winner I can imagine that you would be doing the victory dance and applauding the mainstream media's depiction of Trump's (Hitler) loss and their wish that hopefully the deplorables (the majority of Americans) would be reeducated to believe the big establishment government propaganda. And something to think about Elaine, a good portion of the "ALL' of us that you want Mr. Schulte to think about are turning their backs on the garbage that has been spewed so recklessly these past years, not in Santa Barbara or a good portion of California, but that hopefully will change as well. And not being sarcastic, I do wish you a happy Thanksgiving and I do also wish for a healing for this country.
You have me all wrong. I don’t feel the least bit victimized and I would not be talking about half the country as deplorables. I am simply offended that there is so much what feels like hatred toward the other half that may feel different….and that does NOT mean we are all with the far left nut crowd. Why can’t you take a little of that in. Many of us are much more in the middle. I AM troubled by the vitriol. It’s not necessary or the least bit helpful in making your case.
Elaine, we do hate what Democrats did to this country. So should you. Separate yourself from their party agenda first, and then let's' explore other common denominators we share. We do hate Democrat policies. They have all been recipes for failure and fiscal insanity. Why do you want to keep supporting them?
I’m for change. I’m for reform. I’m for moving toward the middle…culturally and fiscally. I’m all in. I am NOT for the status quo. But….I’m not for destroying the structure of democracy and the principal of balance of power.
Unfortunately not. He is destroying the democratic process. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. That’s where he wants to go. Once again….I hope I’m wrong.
Elaine, you keep pushing "popular votes" so on the face of it, you are trying to destroy the nature of our government. Founders intentionally created a structure to buffer us from the passions of mob rule.
I’m simply stating a fact…that over half of individuals (those for Kamala and those for a third party candidate) didn’t vote for Trump. Those are real people!! Americans. That is simply a fact. He won by a smaller margin overall than Biden did. So what? He won. It has nothing to do with the structure of our electoral college which IS the system we use. Why is it so hard to see just how divided this country is….There is a middle….somewhere if we can find it. I would like to believe this is still one country. I may be naive, but I’m hanging my hat on that hook.
" . . Over half the country did not vote for Trump . ."
That's the problem! Half the country voting for that completely unqualified idiot Harris! Can you imagine where we'd be after another 4 years of that moron??
Well, Trump might not have won by what you would call a landslide, but his winning sure is going to make a huge difference! And the difference half the country believes is a good difference. You make it sound like Trump's a minority. On the contrary, he's got much more backing of the country compared to the minute Democratic wackos out there. Most the Dems don't like where the country was going.
Elaine, Harris winning Wash DC (95%) and in a few other failed blue urban concentrations does not make this a "close election".
Just one that proves the current electorate has been permanently distorted due to the current 23 million government employees (their family members and friends) now living off our tax dollars, and voting accordingly.
Step back a bit to view the entire national shift this past election now represents.
I’m talking about the popular vote…half the country didn’t vote for him but that’s not my point. The election is over and there has been a shift which is duly noted and appreciated. It’s the animosity and ill will and distain that is expressed toward that half of the country that I think is so harmful at this point. What does that accomplish? How is that an appeal to the better side of human nature? How does that bring the county to anything but division? How would you feel…and what would you do if there were people marching down State Street with Nazi flags (like in Cincinnati and Michigan)? That’s what targeting people as morons, enemies, communists, marxists, etc encourages. (And don’t mention the wacko far left descriptions of Trump voters. That is NOT the majority of Democrats!!!!) I love Santa Barbara and i don’t want it to degenerate to that point. Dramatic? Perhaps. Emotional? Yes. I fully admit it. Happy Holidays!
Not at all. Conflict can lead to all sorts of good things if it’s managed well. It usually requires both parties to reflect a bit and make room for common ground. It’s the attacks…the name calling (here, in this newsletter) that I find counter productive. It’s the mean-spiritedness that honestly makes me sad because it’s divisive. Is that so hard to understand? I’m hardly a victim. I’m a bit of a mirror back to those people if they care to look. It only hurts them, not me.
The competitive marketplace of ideas is good. We thank you for your dedicated service for our own betterment. What a self-disclosed sacrifice on your part. We remain indebted for your virtuous reminders to ....be better.

We will soon be celebrating the day that real Americans, in a spirit of generosity, fed the starving undocumented "Christians" from Europe. In total disregard for the teachings of Christ, we are awaiting the "second coming" of a serial rapist and convicted felon who has declared avarice and callousness to be the central pillars of his administration. May a merciful and loving God help us all!
Half of the country is thankful, the other half is not. I am thankful I can freely express my opinion either way for sure. In a year or so we will find out who is REALLY thankful….my guess is it will be a distinct minority. The Gaetz and Kennedy appointments alone are scary enough…....frankly, the harbinger of the project 2025 hanging over our heads scares the crap out of me. Despite all of the denials about support, two of the authors have been appointed to cabinet level positions.
AR: Gaetz scared all the right people. Nothing scary about that at all. He retains our gratitude and we thank him for flushing the scared people out. They should be scared.
Henry must be smoking some illicit substances found here. This peice is glossing over reality. It is a case of smoke and drink some more.
Have another cup of reality.
The super tanker of state will adjust it's course by three degrees, may be six degrees to the right, that is all. Little real change will be experienced by the working class. Trump does not care one iota about the worker, he never has and never will. They are fodder to enrich him, that is all.
A different bunch of super wealthy will get their front trotters into the trough. And most of them have already dined very well off State and Federal largesse that his come their way. I am looking at you Musk.(Tesla Motors Inc., SolarCity Corp. and Space Exploration Technologies Corp., known as SpaceX, together have benefited from an estimated $4.9 billion in government support, according to data compiled by The Times).
This last election was a protest vote to the established elites in power. It could have equally been Trump getting the old heave ho, if, well lets not go there.
We have Project 2025 to look forward to. Russel Vought is now a cabinet appointment. But wait the Trump has never heard of 2025 and certainly has never read it and has no intention of implementing it. This, from my viewpoint, is an out right lie. But then if you are going to tell make it big. Then there is Matt Gaetz and his little problem. What a great start to the new honest, integral spiritual principaled "right" way of running the country.
Plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose.
Lets get the elites who slept with Epstien, on his plane, house and island. All of them, the lawyers, the politicians, the military, the legal and the business men and the washingto elites, oh wait we can't do that, the President is imune to prosecution.
come on, admit it, we are a corrupt country and nothing is going to change, not of real substance.

I'm not a fan of Gavin - but there is no way a Vance could grab CA at this time. Someone in between the two maybe?
If you want to change CA politics, think outside the coast.
My money is on Marjorie Taylor Green. She seems like she would be a natural fit for most of the Trump supporters.
