The U.S. Government has Proven Itself Untrustworthy
In 1887, the United States Army Signal Corp banned the word “tornado” from public broadcasts.
The reason?
Here’s what a Chief Signal Officer wrote in explanation: “The harm done by such predictions would eventually be greater than that which results from the tornado itself.”
At the time, a gentleman by the name of John Finley became obsessed with trying to figure how to predict tornados to save lives. In 1883 alone, 270 people died from the effects of tornados. I didn’t know about such a ban, and I guess why should I? The ban on the use of the word “tornado” lasted for 60 years until 1950. In the interim, despite becoming fairly accurate predicting tornados, the government had enough of John Finley. He was eventually pushed out in what is commonly described today as having been “cancelled.”
Sound Familiar?
Things change and then again nothing does. Of one thing we can be certain, history does repeat itself and it’s doing so every day.
The Covid debacle was our most recent glaring display of government control and lying. I don’t think there are many people left who believe a single thing our government says.
How can we?
The last four years exposed our ugly underbelly, and I can’t get a handle on how we let all that ugliness thrive. There are over 300 million of us. We have power as voters and even though some of that power was unleashed in the last election (things had gotten really out of control), it’s going to take some doing to regain the American trust.
There are always going to be secrets, and some may be justified. We can’t be informed about everything: military plans or trade secrets, for example. But we can be told the truth about a vaccine we were forced to take. We should be free to use our outside voices and express our concerns and not be shut up for it. We can be told what kind of dangers Americans are facing from terrorists or foreign nations.
Note to Government overseers: Don’t tweak the truth. Tell it.
Lying For the Sake of Lying
The FBI, CIA, and nearly all agencies have been caught in lie after lie. We still know nothing about the assassination attempts on Trump. We know nothing about how and why we allowed a Chinese balloon to map out our country.
We have recently learned that there were 26 undercover individuals working the crowd at the Capitol on January 6. Most of us suspected they were there but we were lied to, using what the definition of is, is. They were technically not FBI agents. They were hired by the FBI, but they were freelancers, so that makes it okay. Thousands of lives have been turned upside down over those lies.
How do we know they are still not lying?
If there were at least that many FBI plants, what about the CIA, and the 17 other U.S. “intelligence” agencies? Did any or all of them also have a hired hand or two, or more, at the event?
Has anyone asked?
In any case, why should we believe them?
What many of us also suspect is that the end game was to get Trump.
Get Ready for the Big Job Ahead
It’s going to take a long time and a lot of hard work, if it’s even possible to restore our confidence in government at almost every level, from Representatives and Senators in Congress down to state governors, city mayors, even school boards.
Then we’ll have to deal with one of our greatest growing threats: Artificial Intelligence (AI). This technological achievement will become another powerful tool used by manipulators to play with people’s minds. I would be petrified if Harris had won the election, and though I have more comfort knowing it’ll be the Trump administration working on the problem, I’m not sure we can control this one.
The Kraken has been released.
What if a warning hits our phones one day reporting that missiles are on the way, and you have ten minutes to say your goodbyes? Will you pay attention or ignore it? What if you are told it is dangerous to drink the water, that it’s laced with fentanyl? If those messages turn out to be false, the panic will be short lived but the fear it creates will be real.
The circle of skepticism and uncertainty will grow ever wider.
Will you believe the next warning?
Will you dutifully follow the government’s advice… or obey its mandates?
Why would you?
….
By nature, I am an optimist. Big changes are coming beginning after January 20, 2025. It’s going to be fun to watch.
You better believe it.
Some of you are missing the point and go right back to Trump being the evil anti-christ and not how our government has been doing business. I love America but that doesn't mean I have to close my eyes and accept everything. Put Trump aside for you haters and focus on how far apart our government has stepped away from those it's supposed to serve. Trump may not be the answer, but for right now, if he accomplishes half of what he says, it will still be 1,000% times better than what the Biden's group had done to this country. There will be complete transparency and he's going to go to work everyone. Let me know in two years how bad you think things are. Or better yet, in two months. Changes for the good will come very rapidly. It already has.
Right on Henry! Every time I go into CVS in Solvang they are pushing us to take vaccines of one type or another. I tell them every single time I do not trust these any longer because our Government has done nothing but lie lie lie!! Along with Big Pharma!!! You are right on, we have a lot of hard work ahead, to get this country back on track, from all the damage done by the previous administration!
