I love it? Finger Guns are so versatile in silent communications. Of course they should be banned. We can't have the public communicating with one another silently, it is too difficult to censor. Anyway, Finger Gun usage should be limited to use by the elite and politicians. Only they know how to Finger Gun someone without psychological damage. Derek Hanley

I would like to see the body guards for Biden use their finger guns next time they are out in public to protect our "resident".

I am no stranger to guns. At 14 the marine commandant who headed my explorer scout group had me trained as a sharp shooter at our local Marine Base. My grandfather taught me to quick draw a pistol and shoot a spent shotgun shell off a table at 30 paces when I was 11. I followed up by lying about my age so that I could join Devil Pups at 14 instead of 16 at Camp Pendleton and experience 3 weeks of Marine Boot Camp. Loved it. Loved guns. Clearly, the intent of your piece( no pun intended) is to mock those who support gun control. The use of the word “eunuch” early in the story is very telling, for example. I recently have helped many schools to install automated security systems which cost 3 to $5,000 a door and help protect rich kids from random shootings. Many with a military background support gun control because they understand that an assault rifle is designed specifically to kill or completely incapacitate the enemy. Doctors who treat small children after a shooting with an assault rifle note that most often their patients can only be allowed to bleed out because of the speed and velocity of the shell entering the body “explodes” the child’s internal organs leaving nothing the doctor can repair. This article is guaranteed to “trigger” anyone who has survived , or has had a child killed in a school shooting. And that is the intent of your mockery. I fully support your right to free speech, but would like you to note I have a finger pointed right at you.

Your attempts to use humor to dismiss the tragedy of gun violence in our nation would not be well received by the thousands of family members and friends of gun victims that die annually in our nation.

Your analogy of, muzzle-loading shotguns, air rifles, paintball equipment, caulk guns, nail guns, assault staple guns, paint sprayers, water pistols, Nerf ball launchers, replica plastic revolvers, AirSoft rifles (including finger guns) to the proliferation of mass executions of our citizens using weapons of war is embarrassing - You should be ashamed...

What responsible gun owner would not support responsible gun ownership of others - And, take a leading role in reducing unnecessary gun deaths in our nation?

If gun ownership reduced gun deaths the United States should have the lowest gun death rate in the world…

Not funny!

According to CPSC statistics, between 1990 and 2001 there were five deaths from nail guns. (https://www.cpsc.gov/content/Nail-Gun-Related-Injuries-and-Deaths)

Each year there are approximately 25,000 nail gun injuries requiring a hospital visit.

According to the NIH, Nerf (balls) can indeed cause serious injuries, especially to the eyes. Are these a result of a Nerfish manufacturing flaw, a freak accident (like running with scissors) or a human error?

For a recent study, MedPage researchers analyzed 304 ophthalmologic ED visits for eye trauma associated with nonpowder guns at Rothschild Foundation Hospital in Paris, from January 2010 to June 2022. To identify cases, the researchers searched medical records for all cases that included terms such as "foam bullets, foam darts, Nerf, paintball, and airsoft guns," with each case checked for relevance.

Whether it's to prevent ocular injury, corneal bruising, detachment and lesions, or skull puncture, NERF, nail, and paintball guns are dangerous.

Banning anything that fires a projectile will make me feel safer and, if it saves ONE life, it's (probably) worth it.

SAFETY LESSON #37

Don't run with scissors or take candy (and advice) from liberals.

Your copying/pasting senseless tripe in response to an issue of terrible human tragedy is a casual dismissal, and indicative of a terrible internal disconnect.

The lack of empathy of your fellow human beings is self evident in your choice of being willfully blind to the complexities of gun violence.

No need to respond…

I hope you have a good (and death-free) day.
