Thanks, Lou, terrific column. I do see Trump differently than you do. And I wish that people, like you, wouldn't spend so much time granting Trump haters their problems with him. Because meanwhile, the Democrats become enraged at anyone who mentions any of Kamala's numerous flaws and incompetencies and call them racist, misogynist, anti-democracy.
You're saying, gee he's not great, but we have to vote him in because otherwise … socialism. This is like a milquetoast flip on the Democrats saying Trump must be stopped to save democracy.
This is why I'm not going to attend the Mesa Cafe Debate watch. The last thing I need right now is to be around people second guessing every one of Trump's moves. Oh, if only he'd be more polite. If only his hair didn't look so bad tonight. If only he were more Reagan-like. Then there'll be that person checking every poll and getting so nervous they need to run out for more CBD.
I think Trump's great, just the way he is. Because that's the only kind of person who would get up from an assassination attempt and keep fighting. The only kind of person who would spend his Golden Years in and out of court, threatened with imprisonment, just to save America. I don't want him any different because he wouldn't be there for America if he were.
Polly I am with you 99%. The Democrat party marches in lockstep with never a peep of dissent. In close elections which this will likely be, it is paramount that there be unity to a man. I have no issue with anything that Trump has done or said. I think he is simply the best hope we have had since Reagan. I too am sick of the attitude of many that Trump sucks but is less sucky than Harris. This is not helping our cause. Are posts to The Current edited? I mean I hate editors, and I really hate being edited but they have their place. Now about that 1%, I think you will find most at the debate watch share your opinions of Trump. I am not the only one who wants to meet Polly with the witty, truthful and often hilarious posts.
Polly, once again you've nailed it. It's time to go all in with a Trump win instead of, as you wonderfully laid out, apologizing for him and the personal things they don't like about him.
Great summary of the what we're facing. I just don't know you break through the "blue" wall as they're saying to get into the think leftist skull. Forget who the individuals are running, but what their policies. We know how much good Trump did for the economy and the country and we know how much Harris destroyed. Go with what we know.
I have a prediction for this Tuesdays Presidential debate. I predict Trump will mop the floor with Harris and expose her for the clueless, ignoramus she clearly is. Trump will talk the talk when it comes to the economy, foreign policy and American exceptionalism. Sure, Harris will raise her voice, talk as a victim (Detroit cadence), but Trump will put her in place.
To all those Independents, Rinos and Blue Dog Democrats, I say hold your nose, put on your big boy/big girl pants, do the right thing and vote as if your financial existence is at stake…because it is! I’ll be the first to admit Trump has a talent for pissing people off, but NOW is crunch time and we can’t allow the unhinged left to gain power over us. Just remember, all those involved in burning down cities, robbing malls, terrorizing universities, murdering police and burning our flag are representing the wacked out, batshit crazy left, which supports Harris.
That is of course, unless you want violence, mayhem and financial ruin.
Santa Barbara Current is organizing a Presidential Debate watch party on Tuesday at Mesa Cafe. We hope this will be a nice opportunity to raise a glass together, munch on some appetizers, and watch what could be a pivotal debate in this election. Attendance is capped at 150 and over 50 tickets have already been purchased. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1006523698477?aff=oddtdtcreator
Bravo, all in good fun! I say those on the right, pitch in as a sign of collegiality, and buy a round of Shirley Temples for our friends on the left that manage to stay for this humiliating event!
I agree LT…like Trump recently replied to the Q about debate prep, “I’ve prepared all my life for this debate.” Harris won’t look much better than Biden after his try with The Trump. Think I’ll watch the CNN/MSNBC post debate “analysis” for S&Gs.
Yes Sir…and the addition of Kennedy to break down Big Pharma (already half exposed), clean up our food supplies, and bring health back to our people. Trump is just now gathering steam, timing is everything. Expect to see many many more prominent people stepping forward to save/serve the nation.
still 61 days to go…until Trump wins all 50 states!
I'm going to keep my comment short and sweet: People deserve the government they get, first here in California which has been a fascist dictatorship since 2010 and now the United States since 2021.
Yes, the iconic portrait of Che Guevara continues to be the rallying flag for the left. Interesting how this revolutionary, diplomat and former physician remains a significant influencer even today. No doubt, Latin America was in turmoil in the 50’s and 60’s and remains so today. Yes, today’s Mexico it could be argued is a failing, narco-terrorist state, with one political party, the PRI being a leftover from the Mexican revolution. Che undoubtedly was conflicted by US foreign policy in Latin America, whereby teetering states such as Guatemala, were overthrown by the CIA at the behest of the United Fruit Company. What, Pineapples over human rights?
Today’s radical movements, ie climate change, BLM, LGBTQ, Free Gaza and the Democratic Party as a whole have socialist, communist and revolutionary tendencies similar to that of Guevara. Like Guevara, they see White, Christian Capitalism as the enemy, which must be overthrown. Unlike Guevara, they are trying to collapse our society from within versus armed conflict. Today’s allies and adversaries can be divided by race, religion, gender and sexuality as opposed to traditional Communist manifestos, division based on economic class. So far, they are meeting with some success. The first step is to control our speech, thoughts and children. Shame on the rest of us if we continue to allow this.
Certainly, many in the EU have identified this ongoing struggle, giving rise to ultra conservative, nationalism and has targeted immigration as a significant problem.
Capitalism is NOT a Christian idea, it is a secular and classical liberal innovation. Prioritizing Capital over moral and social truths and responsibilities has never been a part of Catholic social teaching, indeed capitalism is incredibly materialist, not too unlike Marxism in that respect...
What nonsense, maybe you should put the wine back into the Tabernacle. The “Istituto per le Opere di Religione,” aka Vatican Bank, is thought to be a major source for money laundering and said to have funded the Contras in Nicaragua!
So you have nothing to say to counter my point, instead you resort to allegations... sort of like how liberals alleged that Trump collided with the Russians in the 2016 election...
Unprecedented mail-in balloting, big tech titans pouring millions of dollars into key counties within swing states, major media selectively suppressing information unfavorable to the Democrat candidate…at what point does someone have the right to suggest things weren't as they should have been? You take issue with Trump's use of the word "stolen." I don't, but I will refer you to Mollie Hemingway's book, "Rigged", in which 1,286 references substantiate irregularities in the 2020 election. There's no question the 2020 election was rigged. Perhaps in 2024 it will be outright "stolen", which to you is an important, and to me an inordinately subtle, distinction.
SB Currents asks "What core policy values would you like to see reinstated with the GOP?"
Thank you for the privilege of a response. 1. smaller government (stay out of my bedroom; stay out of my child's life; stay out of my local library; stay out of my religious beliefs). 2. government fiscal responsibility (this will require higher taxes on corporations and the uber-wealthy). 3. enforce 2nd Amendment rights by REGULATING the "well-regulated" militia of gun owners (background checks, waiting periods, red-flag laws, banning of military assault weapons for anyone who is not part of a "well-regulated militia"). 4. A return to "free market capitalism" (breaking up corporate monopolies with a stranglehold on the free marketplace). and 5. promoting democracy (through nationwide mail-in voting with severe penalties for those who abuse the system).
Hi Stephen, I agree with many points on your list. I am curious, however, as to why you favor mail-in voting? And how would the penalties for abuse be tracked and changed, especially when mail-in voting makes abuse nearly impossible to check? James
James, I have been voting by mail since 1972. Active duty military have a "home of record" that allows them to vote by mail when overseas, or not stationed in their home state. I never had a problem. If you live in a state that requires you to stand in a line on just ONE specific day for more than 20 minutes without food, water, or a restroom, you are living in a state where they DO NOT WANT you to vote. There are a few states with mail-in voting, and voter fraud is rare and the ballots can be tracked, especially now that we have "bar codes." Why does my brother, in a rural area in a RED state, have to drive several miles and stand in line to vote? Give me a break! Open your mail in ballot, get a cup of coffee, and take the time to READ the pros and cons for EVERY candidate and proposition before making your mark. Sign it, seal the envelope, and mail it in. Simple. Send in a second ballot and GO TO JAIL.
I read this "Insightful" article by Lou Segal titled "The Real Menace to Democracy"
and I quote from same >> "Trump may be many things – perhaps even a scourge to the embedded power centers in Washington, D.C. – but the threat he presents doesn’t hold a candle to the Democrats’ ruthless and Machiavellian attempt to seize and hold on to power."
Let's bring this right back here to Santa Barbara where the title should read
The Real Menace to Democracy are the So-Called-Leaders of Santa Barbara"
Bold saying you all may say but then again, I did not first say these words,
they were said by former FBI Executive Assistant Agent-In-Charge, (ASAC)
Tom Parker in his article to the SB Independent and I quote his title
"Perceptions of Political Corruption Too Often the Harbingers of Stark Reality"
which I have consistently stated here in SB Current. Now you all may say
Tom Parker's Article talks in "General Terms" and not specifics. I think that
the former Chair of the SB Fire and Police Commission makes statements like
this in his article you all may want to ask yourselves "What the Hell is Going On"
As I also stated before I have the documents that fill-in those specifics stated
by former FBI Executive Thomas Parker and I quote him as follows>>>
"Criminal law requires a willing relationship between a government official’s duties and a corrupt act such as, for example, a large campaign donation intended to facilitate certain legislation or other official act by that official to benefit a crony — in other words, a quid pro quo. Upon close inspection by trained investigators, the proscribed relationship between the official and the co-conspirator becomes apparent. It can also surface when those plotting the scheme covertly agree to conceal their being symbiotically joined at their hip pockets. In today’s electronic world of emails and high-speed research, such concealment rarely lasts, and the act, or the perception of one, pops to the surface at the most unexpected times, such as right before an upcoming election."
We have very serious problems in the United States and RIGTH HERE IN SANTA BARBARA.
Who is going to step-up-to-the-plate and address these serious problems?
Go to Elon Musk's "X" website for some clues folks >>>>https://x.com/home
Howard Walther, member of a Military Family
PS - The FBI Addresses Local Government Corruption here >>>
I keep wondering what people actually like about Trump? What did he actually achieve? Not much. No better healthcare, no infrastructure bill, no legislation from Congress to fix the border issues, nothing special for the middle class. What we got was more divisiveness, more hate, less trust and a deepening of distrust. Maybe some see that as great leadership, I see it as failed leadership. Leaders bring people together, leaders give hope, leaders take people forward. Leaders are inclusive not divisive.
If we bring things to the present day, Trump is a broken man. Have you watch his interviews and rallies over the past couple weeks? He used to be a good entertainer, albeit often crude and juvenile. That is gone.
His business acumen has been proven lacking with 6 bankruptcies, a fraudulent university, his failure in the lucrative casino industry and his less than legitimate business practices are just a few examples of his tendency to make poor choices.
I know many do not like his criminal and dishonorable past brought into the equation. However, if we are being honest, no other candidate has gotten a pass for anywhere near Trump's despicable behavior. If Obama has covered up sex with a porn star, the people on this site and on outlets like Fox with have a fit. Just ask Al Frankin who was ejected for kissing a woman without consent. If Clinton had called prisoners of war, and vets what Trump has said, the Right would be pissed off beyond measure.
I have not even brought up his criminality. Trump University was a fraud. This was before he was President. He had to pay back students he cheated, $25 million dollars. He has been found guilty of criminal behavior by multiple juries who actually heard the evidence. Recently, it came to light that he likely double dipped on tax write-offs for the same building in Chicago.
I could go on for pages about why Trump was and is a poor choice for America. The bottom line is there is a good reason why Bush, Cheney, Pence, Bolton, Coats, Danforth, Esper, Gonzalez, Hagel, Kelly, LaHood, McMaster, Alyssa Farah Griffin, Blackwill, Ty Cobb, Ashley Davis, Gidwitz, Stephanie Grisham, and dozens of other REPUBLICANS who worked with Trump are not endorsing or voting for him.
If the Democrat party gave me a rational centrist as an alternative to Trump, maybe I would consider voting for that person. The problem is the only two moderates willing to buck the party, Manchin and Sinema, were basically kicked out of the party. If not for them, Democrats would have nuked the filibuster and packed the court and have done many other odious things. The spending bills they did pass (combined with the punishing lockdowns they supported) gave us the greatest inflation in the last 45 yrs which would have been much greater if Manchin and Sinema hadn't used their leverage to stop the additional spending.
Since actual facts matter. Republicans represent about 24% of registered voters, as do democrats. The majority of Americans identify as Independents. A tad shy of 50% of Republicans identify as supporting the politics of MAGA. Plus, Biden is not running for President so bringing him up is meaningless in a conversation about Trump, but "whataboutism" is quite popular these days.
Biden is still President and he has been in office for 3 1/2 years. And many people voted for Trump regardless of their own political affiliation, in 2016 and 2020.
It isn't what aboutism Gene, Trump hasn't been president for years... but Biden is...
Biden attacks ordinary people, Trump attacks those in power who despise him and want nothing less than his defeat.
When has Trump attacked democrat voters, Gene. You project your own shortcomings onto me. I'm not even a Trump super fan, I'm a Carlist, but many who share your beliefs have called me and those who also disapprove of liberalism as "MAGA cultists"...
I love how you change the narrative from "Trump attacks those in power who despise him and want nothing less than his defeat" to only "democratic voters." It is so disingenuous in an adult conversation. But, I'll stay with the conversation and give you one of over dozens of examples of Trump's childish rants. I can't wait to see your next spin and deflection. Note, I am actually using a verifiable source versus an opinion or meaningless antidotal story.
Thank you for the refresher on trumps moral compass. Unfortunately his republican conservative supporters are willing to overlook and give him a pass, over and over and over.
Excellent points, Gene. And those are just reasons from the PAST not to vote for Trump.
Looking forward we can see that (according to Mark Zandi of Moody's Analytics, citing the conclusions of 16 Nobel laureates in economics) Trump's proposed increased tariffs on all foreign goods will drive U.S. consumer prices ever more aggressively upward -- and that's called "inflation".
Also, even Michael Strain of the very conservative American Enterprise Institute predicted that Trump's proposed deportation of thousands, even millions, of undocumented workers will similarly drive further inflation; especially groceries, construction labor, and restaurant prices.
And lastly, an assessment by the nonpartisan Penn-Whorton budget model comparing Harris' economic plan to Trump's calculates that although Harris' is likely to add another $1 trillion to the U.S. debt over the next ten years, Trump's plan (particularly due to his proposed capital gains and corporate tax cuts) will add another $5 trillion to the debt over that same period.
So, I ask again: "Who is the REAL threat to Democracy?"
Those 16 Nobel laureates also said that Biden's spending bills would not ignite inflation, and when it happened despite their prediction, they said not to worry because it was only temporary. Interestingly, everyone said the 2018 tax reform would reduce govt revenues, but in fact revenues have increased every year since then. What has also increased is govt spending by a very large margin. Both parties share the blame for that. The only real way to tackle our deficits is take on entitlements, and the Democratic Party has only engaged in demagogic attacks every time anyone tries to discuss the topic rationally.
You left out taking on the Pentagon. Why do they get increase funding when they cannot account for the money they've already received. Can you imagine a company getting more funding that hasn't successfully passed an audit in years? Plus, I hope you are not lumping in Medicare and SS as entitlements versus returns on investments taxpayers and employers have paid into for decades.
I am absolutely including Medicare and SS (in which I am enrolled) since both are going broke because of unsustainable spending. Your party will be forced to address this issue with either suffocating tax increases and/or painful spending cuts, but by demagoguing the issue and postponing the day of judgement, they are only making the solution far more agonizing for the people they supposedly care about.
Thomas, I agree with you. Not all Democrats are socialists. However, If you look at what Harris has said during her political career, even though anonymous aids are trying to walk back her numerous statements, she is, at minimum, a very far left liberal and most probably a socialist. Check out what she has said on single payer healthcare, wealth taxes, decriminalize illegal immigration, defunding police, fracking ban, electric vehicle mandates, confiscation of guns, etc. There is a reason why she won't give interviews or press conferences with media. She is hoping she can be elected without ever explaining her past.
I hear you. I'm mixed on reaching back too far with what people say. Look at what Vance has said in the past? But yes, it's always a question of did they actually change their stance - or are they just out to get votes. Plus there is no way guns are going anywhere. And I think the Dems have learned that immigration is a big deal - I just hope the GOP will realize it's more than just the boarder.
If you don't mind me asking - What are your thoughts on Liz Cheney endorsement of Harris? I know 2/3 of this board will freak out with deepstate rino.... But her voting record was lock step with Trump.
So as you know, I am not a Trump fan although I will vote for him considering the alternative. I can understand some of her criticism of him but what I can't understand is endorsing Harris. Given her conservative positions on the issues, it is really inconceivable how she could vote for her. It would be much easier to understand it if she said she wasn't going to vote for either of them. How can you support someone who has views on most of the major issues that are 180 degrees opposite of everything you have stood for your entire adult life? I don't get it.
Like many of the "RINOS" I know, perhaps she believes a resounding Trump defeat will end Trump's grip on the Republican Party so it can return to its core values and get away from all this MAGA cult crap.
Today I saw a Harris Bumper sticker with the phrase "We are not going back". Perhaps that can be applied to the Republican party too? What core policy values would you like to see re-instated with the GOP?
Unfortunately, the [D] Party, along with most of the Republicans, have been subsumed by the CCP (+++ other foreign & domestic). The Uniparty is fully controlled. Our choice is for Harris, the puppet to be used by the Socialists/Marxists/Communists; or Trump, the bombastic outsider fighting for blowing up our failing systems.
Yes. Conservatives often express outrage for thr left seeking to redefine words like man and woman as it relates to transgenderism yet ironically call many people "fascists" despite ignoring its historical attributes. Nationalism, corporatism, and populism are facets of a fascists state yet it only means vaguely autocratic in the minds of contemporary conservatives...
Election rigging is real. There are so many Democratic engineers that can help make rigging votes happen. I never understood engineers, and engineers starting their own business and becoming wealthy, some being technically-business smart but politically stupid IMO, not ignorant ... but actually S-T-U-P-I-D. It has to be the result of being brainwashed in the universities. The Dems will stop at nothing to win the election ... they'll go crazy if they can't win!
1.] How do you ensure fair elections when many states in our country have no Voter ID laws? CA is a glaring example and Drivers Licenses don't count as Voter ID because everybody and their dog has one! :)
You need a birth certificate or naturalization certificate to prove you are a citizen to get a US passport, not a drivers license!! so why is it different for a voting ID??
2.] Secondly, how do you know that voting machine software (and the method of counting paper ballots and mail in ballots) is not rigged or "glitched" in favor of one candidate?
If I was sitting at the vote counting table desperately wanting Kamala to win and maybe get a good bonus from the party for doing a great job, I would certainly hide votes cast for her opponent and make them disappear. Don't you think? Or do we believe that everybody in this world is so perfect and honest that no matter how much money or perks I was offered I would never do something like that!
I actually worked at a polling station in 2020 and voted for Trump. My job was to verify names with addresses and help voters with any issues during the process.
It's time to wake up and see the reality for what it is. Losing an election for criminals is a life and death situation. When you lose, you either get cannibalized by your own as they all know each other's dirty deeds or you get sent to prison for life when the other guy comes in.
This should tell you why psychopaths are mortally afraid of losing elections.
You are 100% correct. I have echoed your sentiments regarding proof of citizenship. One must present either a US passport, a birth certificate or a naturalization certificate. And the machines need to go. We need paper ballots, one day in person voting. All ballots hand counted, volunteers need to be overlooking all the people at the precinct and all votes to be counted in one day at the precinct, no bussing votes from one place to another.
The greatest menace to American democracy are websites, podcasts, and substacks masquerading as "news" and "opinion" that are actually doing nothing more than spread Putin's disinformation and disseminating pro-Russian propaganda in an effort to once again (like 2016 and 2020) interfere in an American election. Could this be one of those substacks? Read these missives critically. Nothing would please Putin more than a Trump victory in November; that should be all that a patriotic American needs to know before casting a ballot. A vote for Trump is a vote for Putin.
Putin knows Harris is much more malleable than Trump and can be manipulated or threatened to acquiesce to his demands in the long run. Under the circumstances, it is not that surprising he would favor her. We should all remember that while Trump was in office, Putin didn't invade anyone or try to illegally annex land. It was under Obama and Biden he went into Crimea, Eastern Ukraine and then all of Ukraine.
Sorry, Stephen, I have to disagree with you about the websites and podcasts masquerading as news and opinion. Compared to what? The completely bias and openly opinionated garbage that the mainstream spews out? Granted you need to do your homework for sure on the net but more and more people are moving from the mainstream because they can see the blatant hypocrisy that is regurgitated by them, one of which is Putin and Ukraine. I would much rather listen to Col. McGregor and Scott Ritter, among others, who have hands on knowledge on these topics than a washed up CNN, et al. "journalist" repeating the same old drivel and getting paid exorbitant amounts of money to do so. More and more younger people are moving away from the traditional "news" which is a good thing and seeing that the world events as portrayed by the MSM is vastly different from reality. A poll showed that the average age of MSM watchers are baby boomers and even they are starting to see the light.
Theo, you are correct about AIPAC. Nothing would please Netanyahu more than a Trump victory in November. Netanyahu and Putin are both wholesale killers of innocent civilians and Trump is their greatest cheerleader, who himself fantasizes about doing the same thing here in our own country to "Marxist democrats" and "illegal aliens."
You conveniently left out the only group that intentionally massacres, rapes and kills innocent civilians. In case you were sleeping for the last year, it is Hamas and its terrorist backers, Hezbollah and Iran. Not only do they kill innocent civilians with no apparent hesitation or remorse, but they also will beat and kill gays and women who dare stand up for themselves in their barbaric, medieval religious extremist culture. Why don't you try living in Iran and then tell me how much you like it.
Not "left out" - Hamas is a terrorist organization, not a recognized nation-state, and Hamas is NOT "the only group that intentionally massacres, rapes and kills innocent civilians." Please try to limit your comments to the topic at hand and resist the temptation to hijack the conversation with irrelevant arguments and insinuations. I don't want to live in Iran, nor any other theocratic state, which is why I oppose Trump and his White Christian Nationalist sycophants.
Never once did I mention Israel, I mentioned Netanyahu. But, don't take my word for it that he is a criminal, ask any of the thousands of Israelis who are in the streets protesting his war in Gaza in order to stay in power. Ask the ICC in The Hague.
Ya sure, what’s a few dead, murdered Jews to somehow validate your blather about “White Christian Nationalists.” Sure, ya there’s all these gangs of whitey burning down businesses, flash robbing malls, desecrating monuments, terrorizing universities and burning the American flag? Oh wait, that’s the lunatics on the left and like YOU, support Harris, the most clueless, incompetent person to ever run for president!
Not all raped and murdered were Jews, there were also Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Bedouins, Palestinians, tourists, and guest workers. I would argue that the most unqualified and incompetent person to ever run, and serve, as President was the draft dodging rapist and convicted felon, Donald J. Trump.
Nah., Stephen The greatest menace to everything - not just democracy, but everything - is Bill Gates. Did we get to vote for him becoming our Depopulation Czar? Nope. He appointed himself. He goes around spraying our food now with his latest toxic invention, Appeel. Did you vote Gates in to do this? I didn't. And you're worried about Trump getting voted into office and then running this country? Why don't you worry instead about the people who are actually running this country, not to mention the world, that we weren't even allowed to vote for? Or even know who they are?
I don’t know Polly, georgesorosandfamily have got to be right up there with billgates…George has been kicked out of five countries for turning them upside down for personal gain, same guy that owns most of our top politicians and pulls on their strings, same guy that’s funding Democrat prosecutors in large cities…this guys (along with Gtaes) has a long history of evil deeds…
Q: Why did SOROS transfer his bulk public funds to a NP? (Note this doesn’t include massive hidden slush funds that are pulled by several high ups). A: SOROS controls organizations of people, including human trafficking organizations, and knows he is being targeted …
Good Article, Thank You. Had to read to the end to come to reach the key point that rang true..."Trump may be many things – perhaps even a scourge to the embedded power centers in Washington, D.C..."
Trump IS the existential threat to the establishment, but it is not only the DC establishment, it's the control systems of the world that have been constructed and operated by the Old Guard, the Globalist, Elites, the Fake News, Big Pharma, Big Tech, the private western central bankers, corrupt politicians, their minions -- those that control the lives of good people around the world for generations now.
And yes, it's the Democrats goal to never lose again, and never be threatened again by someone of the likes of Trump. They will do anything to not lose power, including election cheating, which has been going on for decades. [they] never thought she (HRC) would lose in 16, and planned to put Trump in prison after the election to send the message to others to think twice about taking on the establishment. Imagine if they concocted a scheme to convince the public that Trump was a Russian agent and used the intelligence community, FBI, DOJ, and court systems to complete the play? Unbelievable? Remember the Alfa Bank server? Sounds like much of the same stuff that we've been watching these past few years?
PS…[they] want your land, your gold, and your children…nothing more, nothing less…Fight 4 Trump, he’s fighting for you…
most people don’t really follow politics closely, however, Year 2020 was quite an eye opener for many and we learned so many things about America, but unfortunately most of it was unbelievable, disgusting and sad.
we learned how corruption in our government goes way back in history…how the individuals that represent us care more about the almighty dollar…how rampant pedophilia is that goes on in Hollywood, in the elite class, and those in politics…we learned of the helpless children that are sexually abused & even worse…how the CIA and FBI are corrupt and serve to cover things up or to eliminate certain individuals…we learned of the Deep State, aka The Swamp, and of the pathetic people in it, some of whom shocked me…we learned of fraudulent elections, the fake MSM, and of foreign interference…we learned of a virus that was man made and how the shots were causing great harm to individuals…we learned the truth about JFK, 9-11, Judge Scalia, and John McCain…we learned of all the cheating ways of the Democrats and hate groups like BLM and Antifa…we learned of the future plans of the Democrats for communism and new world order…and learned that many people hated Trump more than they loved their own country.
But we also learned other things, including how much Trump loves America and Americans…we learned how many many Americans believe in him and his plans for our great country…i learned that I loved a man not for who he is, but instead what he is fighting for. DO NOT give up on Trump…trust your military & trust the brave men and women who give their life for our country…pray for our precious children….above all, trust in God almighty…He will not allow his
"We the People" and his "One Nation Under God" to succumb to the evil that envelopes this world…
Thanks, Lou, terrific column. I do see Trump differently than you do. And I wish that people, like you, wouldn't spend so much time granting Trump haters their problems with him. I am not the only one who wants to meet Polly with the witty, truthful and often hilarious posts.
Polly, once again you've nailed it. It's time to go all in with a Trump win instead of, as you wonderfully laid out, apologizing for him and the personal things they don't like about him.
Excellante and right on Polly!
Why thank you Mr. Brown.
Let’s stop calling them Democrats, and call them what they seem to be; Marxist/Communist.
Great summary of the what we're facing. I just don't know you break through the "blue" wall as they're saying to get into the think leftist skull.
Shirley Temples? It's gonna take shots of Tequilla and plenty of them to get the Democrats to see the light! :)
Wonderful idea! I hope to make it so I can meet some of the Commie-Dems who mistakenly disagree with my righteous (and fun) rants!
I agree LT…like Trump recently replied to the Q about debate prep, “I’ve prepared all my life for this debate.” Harris won’t look much better than Biden after his try with The Trump. Think I’ll watch the CNN/MSNBC post debate “analysis” for S&Gs.
FYI…Great speech by Trump today talking to the Wall Street boys…very measured…he is now expanding his messaging with new topic areas & more details… https://www.rsbnetwork.com/video/live-president-trump-gives-remarks-at-the-economic-club-of-new-york-9-5-24/
Roger that DL. Yes, and with Elon Musk as Efficacy Czar to sort out this CF, it should pay off big time!
Naive as f.
Zuckerberg also funded through nonprofit get out the votes in higher Democrat districts. Half a billion dollars worth of manipulation.

Biden has sure brought people together by labeling half of electorate, tens of millions of people as "maga extremists" and "threats to democracy"...
Give me a break. You don't even try to be honest. Trump doesn't attack ordinary people? Where have you been for the past 30 years.
Note, I am actually using a verifiable source versus an opinion or meaningless antidotal story.
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/in-speech-trump-repeatedly-insults-jewish-americans-who-back-democrats/ar-AA1q4yYt?ocid=BingNewsSerp
Agreed. On top of that, the economists at Penn Wharton say Trump's and Project 25's agenda would be cost over 4 trillion. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-economic-plans-cost-more-225619754.html
Penn Wharton? The same institution that Trump graduated from in 1968?
Democrat does not equal Socialist. Just like Republican does not equal Fascist.
I wonder if her about face was prompted by non-public info she was privy to on the Jan 6th committee. Total speculation on my part.
Unfortunately, the [D] Party, along with most of the Republicans, have been subsumed by the CCP (+++ other foreign & domestic). The Uniparty is fully controlled. Our choice is for Harris, the puppet to be used by the Socialists/Marxists/Communists; or Trump, the bombastic outsider fighting for blowing up our failing systems.
hmmm…wonder who Putin would want as President… https://x.com/saras76/status/1831694311336910953?s=61
That's why Putin said today that he wants Harris to win?
This is a terrifying look into election rigging. https://rumble.com/v5cdvac-26-august-2024-joe-oltmann-and-david-clements-at-4pm-est.html
Dear Lou, we have one problem or maybe two.....
Curious that you seem to know so much of what Putin really wants. What do u know that Reuters (hardly a right wing source) doesn’t?? https://www.reuters.com/world/kremlin-spokesman-says-harris-is-more-predictable-than-trump-2024-09-01/
"Everything I don't like is Russian disinformation"
It's so tiresome to hear this trope related again and again...
Israel through AIPAC on the other hand is influencing our elections...
"Hijack the conversation"
Go back to your original comment regarding Israel, and tell me again who hijacked the conversation.
